Rap Sh!t: Season 275
Nov 6, 2023
By stepping away from Season 1’s primary format, the viewing experience adapts and matures alongside the show’s characters. Rap Sh!t Season 2 does a great job of telling a new story within the music industry. The show's ability to balance the depth of its topic with humor and heart makes it both timely and one of the best new series on Max.

Quantum Leap (2022): Season 283
Oct 4, 2023
The series makes full use of guest stars, introducing heavy hitters who seamlessly integrate into this wild time-jumping story. Season 2 of Quantum Leap also welcomes its new cast members in a staggered and organic way that avoids overwhelming the audiences with too many new faces and moving parts. This is especially applaudable as the season is wider in scope and higher in stakes.

Harlem: Season 283
Feb 1, 2023
The season very early on makes a promise to allow the characters to make mistakes and grow from them, and it certainly keeps its word, honoring many of its choices with remarkable commitment. By the end of Harlem Season 2, the characters are in very different places than when the second season began – happier, better places... at least until a cliffhanger closing that immediately demands answers (and a third season).

Riches: Season 175
Nov 29, 2022
Overall, the series benefited from a tight six-episode order which allowed for every moment on screen to push its story forward in one way or the other, as sadly, the murder mystery and embezzlement storylines would not be as interesting with a longer episode run.
