If this game had a motto, it would be "Do this, go there, do this again and don't you dare have fun." Metropolis? I barely even noticed it because the game never gives you a moment to stop and admire anything. It’s just constant busywork with no breathing room. Lois Lane? Poor thing’s holed up in the Daily Planet the entire game like she’s in witness protection, not that you’d want to find her because she looks like she’s been through five seasons of stress and three bad haircut decisions. The characters never shut up either, they all talk at the same time so when you finally take down a Justice League member you can’t even enjoy the moment because everyone's yammering over each other like a chaotic Zoom call. To top it all off, the screen is a flashy cluttered mess with explosions, markers, and UI pop-ups. It’s like someone vomited neon lights all over your display. Half the time I didn’t even know what I was aiming at. And even after all that, when the game was on life support they couldn’t even give away the costumes for free. At least Avengers had the decency to throw in all the suits when they pulled the plug on their dumpster fire. Rocksteady couldn’t even manage that.
It is a good game as its made by ex Ubisoft devs who worked on Immortal Fenyx Rising. I have been following this game for very long and it was pretty disappointing when compared to Immortal Fenyx. They could have copy pasted the entire game with a different story like in Norse realm or Egyptian realm and I would have been happy. The gameplay is sometimes irritating, can't skip the 11min credits sequence at the end, some great stuff like loom shard is never properly explained which is very useful. The map is fixed and hard to find hammer icons. You loose your loot if you get killed and can save few each time. The game is very tough, so I switched the difficulty to actually enjoy the game. Its their first game so its alright, I hope the next game they make have better mechanics.
Journey to the Savage Planet is a cool adventure game, the game even has a co-op. It’s like a light-hearted, colorful and super fun. The ingame commericals are funny. If you are looking for something like that, it’s definitely worth your time.
It is a great game, the gameplay is simple but fun and challenging. PlayDead sure does know how to make a proper game with open endings leaving it to player to interpret it. Loved it throughout.
I played completely solo. The game is fine. Most of the mechanics are pretty lame. Boss fights aren't interesting. Special characters are all the same kind of vampires. Game felt more like checking checkboxes. There are no cinematics only still pics. Not a great game overall.
If you are looking for a relaxing game with cool graphics then this is the game for you. The protagonist goes on to a location where magic is real. You go through dungeons and fight monsters to unveil the truth behind magic and the nefarious plot behind it. The game is also a vacation simulator as you enjoy moments and scenary and monologue is written very well.
The game is great. Loved the sand sliding traversal. A huge thanks to Deck13 for not giving up on this game and putting tons of update in the DLC and putting it on GamePass. Had really fun playing it.
The game looks beautiful and it is fun to play but the beautiful open world is pretty useless as there are no side quests or interactions. You just play one mission to another and nothing else, they did not use the beautifully created open world at all.
The games story is pretty simple. The cat meets various other animals and does some quest for them. As soon as you collect 4 fishes you can start the climb to your house and finish the game. A cool game if you want to spend 2 hrs completing a relaxing game.
Its a good game. The game showcases the power and graphical upgrades of Unreal Engine 5 wonderfully. The boss battles are fun but the real difficulty comes when hordes of monsters come at once. Most of the world elements are not reactable or breakable and you have to follow a set path since its a linear game storyline. The worst part about the game is that you cannot retrace your steps. There are no indications of checkpoints and if you cross it you can't go back to get the collectible and save points aren't a thing either, you will have to restart the game again to get to the collectible. The weapons and gameplay are good but the story could have been much better.
The recent years have been really boring for gaming, games are neither optimized nor made properly with fun gameplay but this game which was shadow dropped was really really fun. If I didn't had GamePass PC, I would have missed out on this game. It was really fun game with a new take on gameplay. The environment is invigorating and the addition of music makes the gameplay so much fun. The boss battles are actually interesting and the story is good. The game was so loved that Xbox Studios declared it to be one of its first games to ever launch on PS5, its direct competitor.
I got this game for free in Epic December Christmas drop. The game is so bad that it caused Volition that made the Saint Rows game to shut down. The previous Saints Row games were really fun. The first time I played the Saints Row franchise, I thought it was a parody of GTA games and I loved it for it. This reboot took all the wacky fun elements of the game. The map is riddled with the same things to do everywhere. The four enemy factions are no fun. Boss fights never feel like boss fight. When we kill the brother of the Idol duo there is no reaction from the sister or any rage while fighting. Boss battles are boring. The game has no physics at all and all the side contents are boring. After so much time there are still some bugs. The game is so bad that they made a re-release trailer on Youtube with the DLCs. Don't waste your time playing this game. Its really sad that this was the end of Saints Row franchise.
A fantastic game with beautiful art style and colors. The boss battles are fast paced and smooth and very fun. The game really excels in the storytelling. Each answer just brings out more questions. The boss battles are the best part of the game and traversal is smooth and fun.
Quantum break is a intriguing narrative game with time travelling super powers. Remedy games are know for their unusual approach to world building and storytelling and this is no exception. This is the only game in the world that tries to combine a TV/Web series to tell a story. The game looks and plays better than today's next gens titles. I give this game 8/10 because the information and story of what and why things are happening are written over hundreds of email, messages etc which is quite frustrating to read and be upto date with the events in the game. Another major issue is a bug causing black/pink color corruption glares in some levels which makes the game unplayable. The only solution is to look down and move away from that area. All in all it is a must play in my book.
The game is beautiful. The sound design is amazing with heavy and light objects making their own noises but there is not much to the gameplay. Some parts are just showpieces that could have been playable mini-games. You can't interact with anything else other than the game puzzles. I didn't like the ending as I was hoping for a better version after investing so much time in the game and the characters.
It was a great game. The graphics were great and the frame rates were always stable at 120FPS. Though the game was difficult at points, if you learn how to dash properly, no boss is tough enough then. Tip - Keep buying noodles when you can in the game, you will get some good upgrades.
The game was fun with choices all around the game. The game had 4 actual movies from Hollywood which you can watch entirety. Everything is good but the commentary and whips throughout the game is the best thing in the game.
A great game with tons of fun and puzzle solving. The game had no noticeable bugs and was engaging the entire way. Loved the 2D characters in a 3D environment. Gameplay and graphics were both amazing. Must play.
The game was pretty average and boring most of the time. The music was good and the ending was very well acted but other than that it had little to no gameplay.
Loved the first one so much and glad that this dropped on GamePass Day One. This is an absolutely amazing game. The attention to details and environment of the world are mind boggling. The game picks up a year later after the events of the first game. Amicia is a better fighter and goes through hell and back for his brother. The development of the sibling relationship as they make friends and enemies throughout their journey is so well written. The music and gameplay is so well done that I have nothing bad to say about this game. In my book this game is GOTY 2022 and anyone who played the first game, should not miss this one.
This DLC was amazing and should have been the actual game instead of what we got. Aiden is a serious bloke while Wrench is the charismatic funny guy. The Larson storyline was very intriguing and kept the suspense intact till the pay off. This is a prequel so if you are gonna play the game, play this one first and then the base game as either Wrench or Aiden, the game will become twice as more fun rather than a random NPC.
If you wanted to play Playstation Marvel's Spiderman 2018 on PC, this is the game that gets closest to it. Except for web swinging, It has all the mechanics like wallrunning, pole swinging and super jump as its made by the same developers, Insomniac Games. The open world is filled with challenges, platforms to jump on and collectibles. The 4th wallbreaking is hilarious at times and respawn animations are the best I have seen. Its sadly a hidden gem and not many people know about this game.
Its a very repetitive game that held so much potential to be a great game but it fell flat. The game lacked direction since it is one of the first game to get rid of the concept of NPC. You can play as anyone in the game except the 5 main bad guys so the voice acting took a hit. There were like hardly 6 voices pasted on different-looking characters. The Assassin's Creed DLC was done so poorly. Ubisoft trying to put magic and mystical powers in regular world never go hand in hand. The game could have been more grounded and better if it just went with WatchDogs Bloodline DLC as the main story which was actually well done and enjoyable throughout. Tip - Just download the Prestige Operative mod to get all the best characters in the game and I would recommend playing the entire game as Aiden or Wrench since their voice acting and dialogue are the best in the game.
I had little to no expectation with this game after playing Marvel's Avengers since both are made by Square Enix but thanks to GamePass, I gave it a try and this game is actually good. You are the leader of a team of 5 members but you can only play as Star-Lord which is a letdown since he is just a guy with a gun and holds no other weapons. The game would have been better if you could switch characters to get all kinds of playstyle that the other characters already possess. The storyline is very linear and RPG elements of how you deal with other characters have very little impact on the endgame since the game has a single definitive ending. The game does hold some strong character and team-building moments which I loved. Overall its a great game and definitely deserved the GOTY for the Best Narrative at The Game Awards.
A 2hr side scroller indie game about an Alaskan tribe with clunky controls. The story revolves around a girl being chased by a monster with no clear motivation as she is trying to stop a blizzard. Its a co-op game which you can play alone as well. You constantly need to change between the girl and the Arctic fox to cross the levels. Overall its a pretty average game since there are so many better games than this out there
Feeding Frenzy with RTX ON. After playing this game, I instantly remembered playing Feeding Frenzy an Indie Arcade game as kid. This game serves a shark on the plate, adds a detailed beautiful open world, hundreds of collectible, turns RTX ON with a great commentary on the side and sprinkles violence and blood before serving it to you. The game got one thing absolutely right which is keeping the fun elements right by mutating the shark and adding skills to it and not going after realistic stuff. The camera work feels shody during boss battles and is hard to pickup in the beginning but after a while, it grows on you as you level up. By the end of the game, you truly feel like you are at the top of the food chain wrecking havoc wherever you go.
This is the GOTY 2021 for me and feels like a truly next-gen game we were promised. It is an absolutely amazing game with great gameplay, level designs and combat systems. None of the new games try anything new nowadays but this game goes far and beyond. Every single level is different and I mean it, nothing is recycled and every level feels so fresh. You can revisit the old levels for collectible adding replayability to the game. The characters are weird and charming in their own way but the colorful level designs and platforming is what keeps the game fresh throughout. Every time I felt, oh that was cool, the game throws something even more amazing at me in the next level. The character dialogue system is great which might not make you laugh but does put a smile on the face. The story is engaging and keeps you guessing. The endgame is very well done and the story teaches a lot about emotions, pain, loss, anxiety, depression, fear and the human psychology. Do play this game, you are going to love it
An amazing game with good gameplay. Its a 17 year old game so most people won't like it and the characters and elements in the world are a bit weird but overall its a great game. You can skip this one if you don't like it, as the second game gives a basic idea of the game and the story but do play the sequel, its GOTY for me.
You know a game is bad when playing as Iron Man is boring and Thor's Mjolnir is a basic hammer. It broke my heart to see how frustrating and bad this game is. This game had so much potential and could have started a parallel MCU like universe for Marvel games. The only good part of the game was the first mission where the game switches all the avengers one by one and was actually well done. After that it was like Thanos snapped all the fun out of this game. The game is filled with generic robots, boring missions, 2-3 super-villains and similar looking labs and maps over and over again. The gameplay mainly involves punching stationary robots, standing in an area until Jarvis hacks the door or clearing the area out of the enemies. The dodge in this game is infuriating and doesn't work. The worst thing is the microtransaction and loot. The gear changes stat which you do not feel during gameplay, it doesn't changes how you look making it pretty useless since there is a button to just pick the best mods in your inventory, so you don't even bother checking what it does. The skill tree is so passive that you don't even care. All the costumes need to be paid with real cash. I am glad this kind of MTX filled game failed badly. I hope the rights to Marvel games are handed over to Insomniac or some other studio who will do the characters justice and truly open up a gaming Marvel Universe like Rocksteady did to Batman.
A good game but could have been way better. The campaign is very short and like all the previous Halo games, the game ends with a cliffhanger in the end which I personally dislike since it takes ages for the sequel to come and I am not vested anymore in the lore. The gameplay is pretty fun and the grappling hook makes traversal in the world better. If you are going to play the game, complete the main storyline till you get the five upgrades and then go exploring the world. Upgrade the grappling hook, the shield and the enemy locator to the max as they are actually good upgrades worth doing while the others are pretty useless. The enemy grunts are funny and the propaganda tower commentary is hilarious. The story was not that great as most of it is scattered across the game and you don't actually find out what happened to Cortana or how she was defeated. Halo sadly has a history of ending the final boss of the game pretty badly like they did to the Flood, the Didact and other great villains in the series and sadly it does the same for this game as well.
This is one of the best games I have ever played. I was a little hesitant before playing the game as it mostly involves a bow and arrow for combat but I enjoyed the gameplay through and through. The story is enticing and keeps you wanting more and more by answering one question and putting up two more. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic future where the world is filled with machines as the wildlife. The game unfolds the story and kept me guessing and answered almost all my questions by the end of the game. Everything in this game was a breath of fresh air. The only thing that bugged me was that I couldn't command the machines to follow me or attack a particular enemy otherwise everything was fantastic. I highly recommend to play this game once completely and then go for the DLC as the weapons in the DLC are quite OP for the base game
My first thought on the game was, "Is this a parody of GTA?". Its a fun, messy and wacky but a beautiful remaster of the original. The characters are polished and look amazing. In this game, you are the leader of SAINTS ROWS, which is a gang. Though you are at the top of the food chain, you do not get any benefits of being the boss as you are just an errand boy like every other open-world game. I would have loved to control the gang and show them sometimes why I am the boss but the game doesn't give you that opportunity
Hades is a rouge-like game with a lot of replayability as this is how the game progresses. You are Zagreus, the son of Hades who wants to escape the dominion of Underworld. The gods of Olympus wants you to be with them so they help you by giving blessings through your run. If you die, you start at the beginning and the world's map changes a little bit each time, which is meant to keep the people there from escaping. There are 5 worlds, with 4 bosses battles and 1 very good boy. The best part of the game are the characters and conversation. After beating the game for the first time after so many tries, I found out I have to do the same thing 10 more times to get the proper ending and 5-6 times more to get the final ending which is worth it but the game becomes progressively difficult. I was getting tired and just put up a mod and tried all the new blessings and beat the game which felt more fun. Do check out the comics and memes of the game on the net and reddit, they are hilarious
Lost Words: Beyond the Page is an amazing side-scroller adventure that portrays a beautifully written story through the eyes of child's perspective. The gameplay is simple but the story is something that will stick around with you. The game displays the rollercoaster ride of joy, loss and regret a child goes through while growing up and how she overcome and accept things in life by using her imagination. A must play for people of all
The story revolves around a girl living her past and jumping obstacles in a shadow realm. You control the object in the environment to help the girl reach the end to watch a cutscene. Concept-wise its good but gets quite irritating when you have to restart if you miss it by a mm. I am glad the dev gave a skip option for the level since some levels are buggy and infuriating
A glorified pinball game mixed with the gameplay of Ori and Will of the Wisp. You are basically a bug who is a postman in this world. You deliver stuff and help the residence around the world. If you loved Pinball in Windows XP, you are gonna love this.
This is the third game in the Darksiders franchise. You play as Fury, she is a hot-headed character with very few likable character moments in the game. The story revolves around her catching the seven deadly sins which have escaped their prison. The overall game is good and continues the story of the aftermath of the destruction of Earth
The entire game and storyline can be summed up with 2 lines, "I am not your errand boy..." ~Death *rides off to do errands for everyone else that asks* This game is set after the events of the first game. You play as the second horseman, Death. He is the leader and the most powerful Horseman among the four. He is on a self-imposed quest to clear his brother's name for bringing Apocalypse in the first game. Death relates to the average player who plays Darksider, Attack First, Questions Later. Its quite a long adventure and mostly the badass protagonist who seemed OP in the game trailer is nerfed. There are countless dungeons and the map is divided into four regions which are quite huge as well. The worst part is the countless weapons you get on your way and it becomes useless very quickly. Tip - Just keep the Possessed weapons and recycle all the weapons and feed them to the Possessed weapon. Don't sell anything for coins and don't buy stuff, you get better stuff along the way, and Vulgrims chests are quite useless so don't waste your time collecting the coins
This is one of the best Action-Adventure games I have played in a long time. The game is a mashup of different kinds of popular games but is done very well while keeping its lore interesting. This story revolves around an End-War between Heaven, Hell, and Mankind which is basically the Apocalypse. The Horseman are tasked to maintain the balance and act as intermediatory between the three factions. The war is supposed to start when Mankind is equally as strong as the Demons of Hell & Angels of Heaven but the war is started prematurely and leaves Earth in ruins, with most humans dead. You are War, the fourth and youngest Horseman who is tasked to find who started the war and got you into this mess. The game is kind of Dungeon based Open World and is fun as well as frustrating at times while exploring. There are limited weapons that keep the game grounded with smooth combat and fluid animations. The lore is quite interesting and keeps you guessing throughout the journey. There is a lot of content and great character moments that you even get to meet in the successive games in the franchise.
Got it for free on Epic but I did not like it. The graphics and sarcasm used throughout the game are great but what kills the joy is its clunky controls. I love games that break the 4th wall and are funny at the same time and this game hits all other factors **** game but if I don't have proper control over my character then it feels more like a chore which is not what I am seeking while playing a game
This is an awful boring game of just climbing buildings. The world is flooded and you have a boat with which you travel around the world. There are 12 buildings on which you can climb and get the emergency supplies that you use to heal your wounded brother. Its just boring climbing from one building getting the item then seeing a small cutscene and repeating the whole process again. Super boring, won't recommend playing it.
This is a beautiful Indie game. You are a fox running through different lands in search of the red mist coming from somewhere. The game has very simple puzzles and a gorgeous setting. The spirit fox gives you some special abilities which unlock as you progress through the game. Overall a good game to buy if you get it on a sale.
