Grand Summoners7

Grand Summoners is a fun mobile game to pick up from time to time, grind a bit, and try to get the characters you want (for me it's only the crossover units I like). It has flaws and issues, and its gameplay is extremely simple, but for a guy like me who plays mobile games every now and then, this was a fun play. If you want a game to grind on mobile almost everyday for an extended period of time, the game can be quite slow and irritating I'm sure, so that is definitely something to point out if you are interested and installing this game. Overall, I like it a good bit.

Runbow is a solid party game and alright solo game, but it isn't anything memorable or special, it's just one of those games where you see it and you're like, "Oh yeah, that game."

Words cannot describe the utter disappointment I felt on Christmas morning when I put this absolute atrocity in my Xbox. I didn't even buy the game myself, yet I felt offended that I even made someone buy me this game. I played the living hell outta 2K17 all year long, but for some reason I dropped playing 2K18 for several months after only playing this game FOR A SINGLE WEEK. I was a easy to please kid when it came to video games back then, and just damn I felt angry when I saw bs like having to PAY VC FOR A HAIRCUT. If that doesn't convince you that this game might not be a good 2K, lets just say this: - The brand-new "Neighborhood" was utterly boring from its looks, to atmosphere, to overall design. - If you wanted to score, you got any player on the floor, set them up on the perimeter, and drove to the basket. Blow-by's single handedly destroyed any competition this game was trying to make an attempt at, because almost ANY PLAYER COULD BLOW-BY EVEN THE BEST OF DEFENDERS. - Open missed layups. Do I need to say more? Somehow they managed to make blow-by's to the basket to score overpowered, but also made it extremely difficult to make open layups at times? This is why slashers became so overpowered, because if you got a dunk animation, you rarely had to worry about missing. - Microtransactions absolutely INFEST this game from start to finish. - MyTEAM was so pay-to-win it was actually hilarious. - Oh yeah, so was MyCAREER, because VC was nearly impossible to get in 2K18. - The MyCAREER story is horrendous, I'm not even gonna get started on that and you know who. - and much, much, much, much, more that I don't even feel like touching on, because I would actually have to think about this game again. So is NBA 2K18 a bad game? No, that would be giving a compliment to this game, which I refuse to do. It is BY-FAR the worst video game I have ever played.

Genshin Impact7
Dec 7, 2020
Genshin Impact is a STEAL of a free-to-play game. It has a ton of fun gameplay on its hands (which can be repetitive, yet still enjoyable typically), great characters that make you want to collect them with their great character designs and personalities, a interesting and excellent combat system that helps keep things fresh, and a beautfiul open world with loads of things to do. Even with the gacha roll odds being really poor, the gameplay being somewhat repetitive at times, and the amount of progression blocks being kinda absurd at times, it is still a excellent free-to-play game that could become an excellent game in general if they find fixes for the game's problems that will keep it challenging and enjoyable for the player.

Super Mario Bros.5
Dec 2, 2020
Look, I get it. It's the game that started it all, but that doesn't mean it was bad or good. Yes, as this may be a great game for its time, you play this game now and realize how big of a pain in the ass it is. The movement has always been my main issue as Mario always felt so unbelievably clunky to control and I feel as if sometimes the game would just cheat me off a platform with the irritating hitboxes this game has. I should clarify however, that I have beaten the game, and I mean actually beaten the main game, no shortcuts or anything, and the only reason why I kept myself going was because I felt it was only right that I beat the first game if I love the franchise so much. And look, this game isn't all bad, it was still enjoyable to play, but it is just unbelievably frustrating as all hell. Thanks for being the start to the franchise, but I would rather play almost any other main Mario game.

Super Mario Sunshine10
Dec 2, 2020
Super Mario Sunshine was the first game that I absolutely fell in love with. My dad had a Gamecube and a copy of the game and gave it to me when I was around maybe 7 years old or so, and ever since that day I can still remember how exciting was to go into Bianco Hills for the first time, how punishingly difficult it was to beat the Phantamanta, how beautiful Noki Bay was, how annoying that stupid Sandbird was, and how I always got my grandpa to do the boat part in Corona Mountain. This was my favorite game of all-time, and though not my favorite anymore, it is still by far my favorite Mario game and in my top 3 favorite games of all time. The only negative part of this game were the blue coins in my opinion. It was ridiculous how they didn't give you any idea on how to find some of the most challenging ones to find, and it took a lot of guides until I finally found them all. Now with that out of the way, I love absolutely EVERYTHING about this game. To the soundtrack that I still hum to today from time to time, to the beautiful visuals for the time that still hold up today, to the gruelling challenges that took so many of my lives, to the gameplay mechanics that I still love to this day, and even to the absurd amount of glitches that just added that much more enjoyment to the game. So, all in all, is this a biased review? Yes.

Five Nights at Freddy's8
Dec 1, 2020
I used to love Five Nights at Freddy's a little too much when I was around 5-6 years younger, so when I saw that the first four games were available on Xbox Game Pass, I decided to give the series a try. The first installment in the series is honestly still about as good as I remember. I also remembered that I am awful with horror games, so I was in for a ride. The game does a stellar job with its setting, ambience, and use of the player's "fear of the unknown". The jumpscares still do get me, but me remembering how Freddy and Foxy work (for the most part at least), I was able to keep them away for all 6 of the nights. I definitely may have gotten lucky, but I still felt as if it was odd that the main animatronic, Freddy, was never actually a threat to me. However, I must say that I still love playing this game and I plan to finish playing 2-4 as well (maybe not 4 though that may be too much for me, and I was never too big of a fan of its style of gameplay).

Celeste10

Celeste was a game so intriguing, beautiful, exciting, and heartwarming that it topped the nostalgia I had for my past-favorite game of all-time, Super Mario Sunshine. It is just simply an adventure that I will never be able to forget. Even with how frustrating and challenging this game can get, this was the first time I've experienced frustration while playing a game, and actually enjoyed the feeling of it. To the pleasant and beautiful retro visuals, the superb soundtrack, the all-to-loveable characters, and the simple but heavily impactful message and story, Celeste was able to create something so difficult and challenging, yet also so fueling and motivating that it was able to interpret its simple message on paper into something that can change the way you think and live your everyday life. If I haven't made it obvious enough already, it is a must play for anyone; and I mean anyone.
