Monster Hunter never fails to impress with its detailed graphics, fluid combat and impressive and diverse monster battles. As always the game comes with new environments to explore, a brand new questline and a wide options of weapons and armor upgrades. In the age of 70 dollar video games, its one of the few that is worth its price tag.

The sleeper hit of RPG games for 2023.

You can tell this is going to be a great Final Fantasy game when the first cinematic drops seamlessly into an engrossing combat sequence. After playing for a day I can tell this game has everything a Final Fantasy fan could want, engaging combat, beautiful cinematics, a detailed world to explore, characters that are more than superficial, and twisting storyline that leaves you guessing. Glad to see that SQENIX could churn out another hit title and happy that this game could leave us something to be excited for this year in terms of video game releases.

I don't know where to start: Amazing graphics, engaging combat, engrossing storyline. I literally can't find anything bad to say about this game. Santa Monica Studios never fails to impress, but this one takes the cake. I have to admit I was beginning to lose hope in gaming lately due to all the P2W trash and cash-grabs that have been released by other companies, especially in the last few years but this is one of those few rare games that totally restores your faith in gaming.

Somehow a visual novel made it as the top Switch game of the year... seriously?

This is a pretty average game. Nothing great. Just average. About as average as the come for MOBAs. Nothing special, just a Blizzard brand MOBA.

Another Mario Maker smash hit: they added new tools and objects for levels - and personally I think creative is great, but I enjoy most the mode they added where you can play endless different levels that people have made. Its like playing Mario that never gets stale, which I think is the real joy of Mario Maker 2. I would give it a 10/10 but i'm going to drop it to 9/10 because it does require you to have a paid subscription to Nintendo Online (which itself is not too bad, its cheaper than XBOX or PS but no free games... On the plus side theres been a whole bunch of free months for it with Twitch Prime this year...) - so 9/10. Its a switch "Must Have" to go along with other great titles like Breath of the Wild and Smash Bros :)

It appears they have fixed their server issues on XBox, having said that it appears that the game is now running well. Graphics are good, and plays well on the xbox. The Black Spirit character is quite a bit annoying but the flow of combat and graphics / controls make up for it if you can learn to ignore it.

Amazing 10/10. This game will easily become the flagship game for PS4. Beautifully rendered in HDR, the game looks crisp and amazing, and plays like an action movie. While many sequels over-promise and under-deliver, Santa Monica Studios brings us a ray of hope that games can continue to get even better with each sequel. If you haven't played God of War yet, you haven't played God of War at all.

The new legendary weapons, Broken Isles and addition of the Demon Hunter class are A+, but it is hard to overlook some of the game-breaking bugs many people have already encountered such as broken quests, instanced areas not phasing in and other similar such issues. Had such issues been fixed at launch as they should have been it could have easily been an 8.6 as the current user score at this time describes but in its current state sadly deserves what I feel is a generous 5 until Blizzard gets its scrap together and puts the broken pieces back in place.

Barely deserving of a 3. Don't play with your contrast or brightness set low, you won't be able to see anything (at least through the first part of the game anyways). The game itself feels like a rehash of Mirror's Edge with a new storyline and nothing much new to add except a bunch of drones in an open world, lots of buildings and mediocre graphics on a next-gen console. Another sad sorry cash grab release aimed at 2008-Era Mirror's Edge Fans that will make you feel stupid later for buying. When I decide to sell any of my games it will be the first to go.

This game is severely underrated. It is everything Diablo 3 should have been, minus the horrible incident that was the RMAH. Done in the same style of 3rd person top-down action adventure hack and slash the game has fast and fluid combat and gameplay mechanics, action, roleplay and plenty of humor. Being a game that was offered for free on Xbox Live Gold I was going to write it off as another "keep it around in case I get bored game", but that quickly turned around once I tried playing it for more than a few minutes.

What's to say? Halo 5 has stunning graphics, large array of weapons from 3 different races (Human, Covenant and Protean), cool vehicles to drive and pilot, new and old aggressive enemies to kill, fluid and action-packed combat, breathtaking scenery and constant edge of your seat action, and lastly (but not least) our old hero Master Chief (John-117), his team and the new friendly-to-rival Fireteam "Osiris" constantly involved in an edge-of-your-seat gripping and twisting plot. In summary, since Halo 4, 343 Studios has taken the aging Halo series and shown us they can do, and have done a better job than Bungie ever did or would do with it. Thanks for breathing new life into an old favorite guys!

Pros: At least the bugs that break the game completely and take the developers 3 months to fix are gone. Plot and storyline of the DLC is somewhat interesting, Geralt gets a new romance and theres about 10 hours of playtime to get re-involved in what I still consider one of the best love-hate relationship RPG games of this generation of consoles, and at 9 bucks I consider it to still be a good deal vs. overpriced DLC from other games that has come out recently *cough*destinythetakenking*cough*. Cons: New bug introduced that includes random pause and blurring of the game screen, although it happens infrequently. Bosses are really ***** hard even past level 35 with maxed out witcher school gear, buffs and skilled play, and will make your elite Geralt feel like a FNG. No new areas are included, and you spend the duration of the expansion being some *****'s slave / servant / peon. Nothing else to really comment on, other than being at the end of the expansion and stuck at the last boss for hours on end just to see the last of the storyline is a pretty large buzzkill.

Okay, not great. Controls are very responsive but the game lacks realism in a horrible way that makes you feel as though you were watching pieces on a board instead of being "in the game", which is what we really expect from all next-gen games on the 8th generation consoles.

Very pretty indie game with good narrative and puzzles. It is however, a bit of a yawn-fest, everything seems slow paced as you are wandering listening to the story, although I guess this could be considered a good change if you need a break from other hardcore fast action games - and it is very pretty... so I could say between the pros and con's a 6 is very fair, especially considering I usually don't buy indies since so many reflect the lack of budget that went into their creation. This one is a notch above most for good scenery.

Pretty good so far, I am liking the graphics and gameplay as much as I liked them on PC. It's a very pretty and realistic looking game with good combat, although I have to take a few points off for the following (without these minor-medium scale issues I would have given it a 9) - the first being that it needs the bugs worked out, on the first day I have already gone into several de-populated villages, and tried to speak with quest givers who showed up as being selectable but nobody was there. The second being strange in game-glitches, such as being kicked from the server for spamming when I have entered no chat text in. I literally don't know how to chat in game on the console yet but somehow was kicked for it. My other issues being the same issues I had with the PC version, in the sense that the game needs more mechanics, such as Dungeon Finder, Raiding, Flying, Underwater swimming and things that add more content and depth to it. I don't pvp so I can't speak for how it is in game, other than I know it exists and i'm sure is a make or break deal for some people. Short of that, great game, could be the best with some improvements.

In its prime, it was called "EverCrack" for a reason. Though it has been rebuilt, built upon, and built upon again over the long running years of development, you can still feel the roots of the game that made it great as you go through it, and eventually you will have to concede the fact that this MMO has more world area content (zones) to explore than any other MMO on the market today. It also contains a large number of classes and races to choose from, hundreds and hundreds of thousands of different pieces of usable and equipable gear, quest items, monsters and so forth making the game vast in dimension. The players are fanatically loyal, especially the "oldcore" players like myself, though many have migrated to the Daybreak Game Company approved Project 1999 fan-run server which still hosts old-school content. If you can see past the somewhat moded graphics (excepting the new content) and the still-static-feeling combat system you could easily see how such a vast universe with a vibrant and long running history could easily still be the #1 MMO on the market had WoW never taken that throne.

It makes me sad that I bought this piece of garbage remake just to get the Episode Duscae Demo. The game is a literal bloody mess, in both style and gameplay. This eyesore on the FF series deserved to stay on the PSP where it started, and after I saw this game I really hope this isn't the trend of demo releases in the future. Thanks a lot SQENIX, you found a way to sell garbage games to your consumers that you knew would sell poorly otherwise. You greedy ****. Now hurry up and release FFXV.

The Halo series looks pretty good remastered, and its nice being able to collect achievements for the original xbox games. I don't know about ODST however, being required to purchase the game as extra DLC content when it feels like it should have came with the series. Its a total crap ripoff from the series with different characters. I would have given it an 8 or 9 if they didn't go so far as to add it in at extra cost.

I am writing this review coming from the stance of being an experienced Magic: The Gathering player with 20 years of experience (since Alpha). The game itself looks good, and there are of ton of cards to collect and build with, it has a decent storyline and the foil cards look pretty cool. Sadly, that is where the positive ends. The negative begins foremost with challenges against the AI. This is my #1 gripe with the game, being that in no consecutive series of games I have ever played has ANY opponent ever had a perfect hand 100 games out of 100, meaning that they have a perfect consecutive series of cards that they can play out, never have a problem with drawing land cards (mana), and seem to always have a card in their hand to counter, stop or delay your attack thereby costing you the game. In every game I have played, the AI seems to have this. Being someone who has played PRO TOUR, this game is even more challenging than playing against other pro tour players sometimes when you are fighting against the AI unless you manage to draw a superior hand that plays out better than your opponent's hand does (which is highly unlikely, hence the number of losses you will experience even during campaign mode). My number 2 gripe with this game is the "shop" and microtransactions (ie, DLC, etc.) - when I buy a game I expect to get the full thing and not be "nickled and dimed" for more money and then also charged half the price of the game to play the expansion content. My #3 gripe is the poor connection quality of online play. Ever running broadband DSL, you will lag and spend minutes waiting for your opponent to respond. That is, when you can find an opponent to connect to. Maybe a good sign that everyone has been discouraged and already left to find other games to play? Just a thought. So in summary, I feel that even 3/10 is fair for this game, when sadly it could have been a 7 or 8.

I have been a fan of the series since the original game, but I have to put my foot down on this one. Notwithstanding the horrible FPS at release, the controls on this game are sloppy and character handling are very poor, especially when you are presented with tight situations where your character has multiple things going on (ie, a large fight where you have to go after one target, yet your character keeps attacking other things despite your input), poor handling on wall climbing (your character will jump to places you aren't trying to move to...) - so I have to say this alone makes this game a less than stellar experience for me, but there are other things about this game that bother me, such getting put in missions back-after-back without having a place nearby to restock on supplies and then finding yourself surrounded by hundreds of guards and dying repeatedly. However, the silver lining is that I do like the graphics on this game, and the open world experience, but the missions, storyline and plot are the same as almost every other AC game. I think they were on to something when the introduced Naval Combat in AC3, Rogue and Black Flag, but then this extra sort of activity thing to keep the games fresh was phased out and they went back to their same old hack, slash follow and stealth routine which has more or less killed it off for me being the same old same old. Multiplayer i'm sure is nice for some people (not me, I prefer not to play my missions with some teenage kid yelling obscenities into his microphone - kinda ruins the enjoyability factor of most of my games.) so really, this game has added nothing for me to the series, and made me feel as though Ubisoft needs to start working on other projects and end with the AC series if they are going to keep going in this direction. Just my 2 cents.

This game is awesome. It has great graphics, superb gameplay and combat, coming in a close second to Dragon Age Inquisition as my #1 favorite next gen console. However, a few hours into gameplay I saved my game, turned off my console and came back to it the next day and found I was stuck eternally on the loading screen right after you start the game. Not sure what is going on, but every time I try to go back into the game it keeps doing the same thing. I am now trying to uninstall and reinstall the game (something I shouldn't have to do ever for a game I feel deserves a high rating.) If this is patched and fixed soon I would gladly change it up to a perfect 10, but if time goes on and no patch that fixes this loading glitch then I am more likely to move down the scale.

Absolutely stunning. The combat is fluid and engaging, graphics are incredible and the game feels entirely expansive and open-world oriented, where chocies you make in the game actually have positive or negative consequences. Feels very close to a living, breathing fantasy world. Very happy with the 70 dollars I spent on this game for the Deluxe edition. Bioware, thou art redeemed in mine eyes.

The graphics on this game are superb. I have loved the Final Fantasy series since I owned my first 8 bit cartridge. BUT the UI / Control System and Quest tracking on this game is a total mess. Thus, I believe 5 is a bit generous (I was leaning more towards 4.) In summary, a beautiful, unplayable console MMO.
