I was prepared to accept the more advanced looking set, It is 2017 and not the 60s. I was even prepared for the annoying lens flare that seems to be popular now but was it too much to ask for even high school play level acting? There's no Star Trek here, Just a ship ran by a committee of incompetent people. I felt this ship couldn't go from Earth to Vulcan without blowing itself up. A coherent plot would have been nice to slip in also.
