I'm actually offended for the original developers of this game. They took the awful RPG gameplay (after claiming throughout the entire marketing that it wasn't an RPG) and added it in to a masterpiece. It's like drawing a smile on the Mona Lisa, this game is truly awful and I'm so sad because I want Assassin's Creed to be good again but they just keep releasing crap. Judging it solely as a remake the only things better are the graphics (not the aesthetics) for obvious reasons that 13 years would help with. Even then some scenes look so flat and plasticy I don't know why they didn't use baked lighting for some scenes as sometimes the original (on the 360) genuinely looks better. The only other positive is the expanded story for some characters like Steed and Blackbeard which then feed into additions to the pirate cove. Other than that everything is a massive downgrade; the menus, gameplay, controls, hunting, climbing etc. everything is just worse. When you put out a remake that's worse than the original you have failed in every aspect. All they had to do was take the original add a new layer of paint and change some story bits around, instead they **** the whole thing up

A walking **** as a lighthouse. While it's an "interesting" idea, it's really boring. The controls are truly awful on PC with a mouse and keyboard so play with a controller if you can. But don't bother, it's basically a walking simulator where occasionally you stop to turn a crank. You'd be forgiven for thinking you missed the "puzzles" as their so easy I think a sufficiently aged mushroom in your cupboard could solve them While the art style is interesting at times for a game that's "stylistic" it has no excuse to run so poorly on a 3070, there are times when it dropped into the teens which is insane on a PC that can play Battlefield 6 at high settings and consistently be over 100

I so wanted to like this game, I actually like the movies and the world that James Cameron created. However, the game is so mediocre it's almost sad. The gameplay feels nice but you basically HAVE to use stealth but the stealth is completely broken and unpredictable making it impossible to enjoy unless you're so overpowered that whatever you hit them with is a one shot. It has all the issues of a bad stealth game can possibly have. I'm so annoyed because there's a good game in here but Ubisoft Ubiaofted it

There is nothing this game does better than DOOM (2016) and a lot it does worse the new enemies introduced simply make the game more tedious the additions to movement manes they can make tedious platforming sections. There is more story... it's is poorly told and utter crap. The game is definitely harder but not in actual difficulty just in annoyance and tedium. They wanted players to use weapons other than the sawn-off so they drastically reduced how much ammo you have but this caused a snowball of other issues that they tried to patchwork together but it doesn't work. This may be the greatest drop from an initial game to a sequel I have ever seen 2016 is a game I replay now and again and will replay specific levels of far into the future I have absolutely no intention of ever playing Eternal again.

It's weird to write a review for a game that has genuinely nothing good about it. The best I can say is that it runs, not well, but it runs and I didn't see any major bugs during playing The combat is awful and the weapons have no accuracy what so ever. So anything other than point blank range is just taking pot shots hoping the bullets luckily it the enemy I've never seen a game that is genuinely just ugly, so so ugly everything about it is just ugly. This game is the pure definition of a corridor shooter, you walk down one indoor corridor to go into a street that is a corridor then into another corridor

Based on a Veteran playthrough this game is ****. It's poorly balanced, the AI is terrible, the grenade span feels like there was definitely a programming mistake, the levels are just corridors that you HAVE to push down because otherwise the enemies will just keep respawning. I found it funny when I'd get the objective "kill all enemies" knowing that there is no way to do that and what it means is "push through the enemies to X" Only having played this game for the first time recently anyone who thinks this is genuinely a good campaign on Veteran is wrong, it is terrible and amongst the worst COD campaigns ever

Really interesting, well written game throughout. All of the the worlds are gorgeous, imaginative and very unique. The story is really good and has a really nice pay off at the end and everything is tied together, playing the first isn't mandatory but really helps with things set up in the first. There is a catch-up video if you haven't played it or the Rhombus of Ruin. The gameplay itself feels nice and responsive and very rarely did I have an issue with control. The one major negative criticism I have is that the second half of the game is very linear, when you leave a level you can't go back and revisit hub world areas until you've finished the story which was a bit annoying, although you could freely replay levels. I like the collectathon aspect but like all collectathon's it's gets irritating when you're missing one figment in a level so as with all I would have like a pin that would make a noise when near one when it was equipped.

A boring bloated buggy mess of game. A map scattered with boring nothing side objectives and pseudo side missions that would have been a good idea had they had the option to put quest markers in because if a quest glitched out (which it did a lot) when you come back to it weeks later you'll have no clue what you're doing with it. Having played a lot of games this might be one of the buggiest, I had far more bugs especially game breaking ones in this game then even Cyberpunk. The story is laughably boring and repetitive. And a small complaint Eivor is just too small, I assume to accommodate the female version they've made the male version tiny and it just looks dumb. Not the worst in the series because Odyssey exists but easily a close second to last. The phrase "as vast an ocean with the depth of a puddle" comes to mind. The combat is dull and repetitive, the stealth doesn't work, the "distrust" system is completely pointless. If you're going to make a game like this don't call it Assassin's Creed, call it anything else so I won't even think to buy it next time. Please just make a proper AC again and get away from this boring crappy nothing game. P.S I hope whoever designed those cairn stones steps on Lego every single day of their life.

After an awful launch which they were fairly destroyed for they have recovered the package into an incredible collection of some of the best games ever made. With consistent updates the game has been well supported since they fixed it and more importantly brought it to Steam.

I write this as someone who would call have called themselves a Silent Hill if the series was just the original 4 and a huge horror fan. In recent years the western developed Silent Hill's have all be terrible, this could be the best western developed "Silent Hill". The Medium is a really solid game that was just too small in scope. The Medium is a mix of classic original Silent Hill and modern Outlast kind of horror. There's no way to fight back against the **** that's because there's only really one and he shows up , occasionally and usually for a quick chase scene. While the monster is genuinely creepy and Troy Baker's performance is incredibly creepy he is underused. Don't let this dissuade you though The Medium builds an excellent atmosphere with gorgeous visuals and environment design however it is just too small in scope and linear. What the game takes from Silent Hill; the dual realities, the atmosphere, the puzzling, it does really well but it doesn't take enough. The game needed to be bigger, imagine rather than just exploring the one hotel(a very small part of it) and the few surrounding areas (again very linear areas). If you could explore the entire complex freely like a smaller Silent Hill town the game would have been so much better, the linearity of the game is a major negative of the game as there's only ever one path to follow apart from one or two sections where you have a choice to go left or right. Without going into it the story is really interesting and well told and kept me hooked right until the end. The framing alone makes me want to see this expanded in a sequel if it's at all possible that is bigger in all ways. Another way that the game could have been improved is if there were more puzzles, the only two puzzles that take more than a second to work out are right at the end and while they're really cool and interesting they're not that hard. This is a major miss from the game. A final improvement I would make is really go into the dual world gameplay, imagine if when you arrive at the hotel instead of seeing sadness as this broken destroyed child, you see them as a normal child (think Laura in Silent Hill 2) helping you through the game for a while and then when you phase into the other world you see her for what she really is. I can understand why they didn't have smaller enemies in the game, the tight linear environments wouldn't have made combat very satisfying and would have frustrated more than anything. Simply adding more enemies into the game, giving players a way to fight back against them, treating The Maw as a more "Pyramid Head" figure and expanding the areas would have worked wonders for the game. However for what the game is it is a fantastic atmospheric experience and the best Silent Hill game since Silent Hill 3. Possibly one of the best horror experiences in a long time, I don't think the Outlast series is a very good horror experience and The Medium doesn't need a first person camera restricting views to be creepy. Minus a few issues and technical flaws the game is a really good if small experience.

This is an awful game. The only redeeming quality is the variety in the gameplay. Before I look up the studio I assumed it was developed by a 15 year old who had just gone onto the Unity asset store bought some stuff and put it together and I could respect that, but when I found out that actual adults (and I assume people who would call themselves professional game designers) worked on this game I was shocked. The art style is awful, the hitboxes are awful and for the fighting/platforming sections this is a real issue. The scenes where you have to dodge things like cars or dogs (yes dogs) are made far worse because you simply can't see far enough ahead to react in time and there's no warning they are coming.

If it had all the positives of DOOM 2016 and was basically a level pack for that with maybe a couple of new weapons I would be perfectly happy but unfortunately whereas DOOM 2016 is a perfectly balanced game that mixed old school fast paced shooters with modern movement mechanics with an amazing art style and brilliant level design. DOOM Eternal took most of that and changed things just enough where it's recognisable but just off. Because of the changes to the way ammo and armour work the game now has to spawn trash mobs in every fight for you to get ammo and armour out of which just annoy and get in the way. This is compounded by the fact you are constantly running out of ammo and having to find a track mob to get some ammo out of. This change is a joke and makes some weapons useless, the chaingun can fire for maybe 3 seconds before it runs out of ammo. Why they made this change is beggars belief. As soon as I started the game and saw it had a life system was a major red flag to me as they are an archaic mechanic that just screams "we couldn't balance the game" and boy my fears did not go far enough. Nearly Every single thing that they added in this over 2016 is worse, apart from the dash. The underground tentacles are just annoying and not fun to fight same goes for the Marauder and the handfull of other new enemies. Playing through this I was shocked at how much they had ruined from the previous game for no reason other than to be new, this game feels like the B team had to prove they were just as good. Not even mentioning Battle Mode because it's more of a joke than the multiplayer from the last game.

This genuinely might be one of the worst games I've ever played. I love Silent Hill and some people mentioned it took cues from that series, it doesn't. The gameplay is walk around until an A appears over something, enemies randomly spawn and attack you with no way to stop them. The game is buggy as hell with lots of collectibles not spawning and the difficulty being thrown to the max for no reason among many many other issues. The game would get a 0 if not for the pixel art for some parts being quite nice when you can actually see them because the game is also the darker than a blackhole. Please do not play this game, the hour it takes would be better spent doing anything else. Try taking up knitting.

A "quirky" script doesn't make your game funny or fun. How about when a platform is moving and I'm stood on it, it moves me on it? That's something they got right in the original Mario but something this game fails at completely. The controls are awful, to do the boosted jump you hold A and X but it only wants to do it 10% of the time and the rest of the time you'll either just jump normally or hold the slap for ages. This game is more infuriating than anything else because it could be so much cooler.

This game is **** painted to look like chocolate pudding. To start with the game was shown to have tons of new features, there is none it plays like every Fifa game you've played after 2006, the one big addition is the X1 controller which at least makes it comfortable to play. the game adds nothing new and yet somehow take features away from previous versions of Fifa and making some features worse than they were in previous years, for example the career mode is lacking a 'player manager' mode for whatever reason and that is just the start of the problems for career mode, players that you want to purchase don't have a single defined score of how good they are and instead the game shows the players age, why is this a thing? This feature, the feature that kept a barely football fan playing a football game, now appears to be exclusive for the football fans who know who each player is and how good they are. The one difference between this and the last gen version is that it looks a lot nicer, that's it, which does not warrant purchase of the more expensive version on the 8th generation of consoles. Having played around with the game on every platform it is available they all seem to have smaller minor problems that the other lacks but perhaps the most annoying persistent problem with Fifa 14 on Xbox One is that the frame rate has constant drops to what appears to be 20 or below frames per second.
