big fan of the series, but this boss ai is unbearable. I would not recommend this game, especially if you played more recent games in the series. and yes - story is great! but gameplay is just not working. upd finally finished the game. despite its age and flaws (omg this combat **** sometimes) it still great, even now.

It is a nice cartoon, but horrible game. The fact that japan studios does jrpg for generations and still cant figure out balancing is insane. Do yourself a favor and watch on youtube.

game lacks ability to save/load so if you want to change anything, you will have to play from the start of the game. i get the whole gimmick from developers, but nothing really changes between playtroughs so its basically just a time waster. also optimization is poor on switch (for a 2d pixel game).

great port for switch. tried to play several times on pc, but dropped after few hours. finally managed to play and (almost) finish it on switch. this is not a perfect game, but still one of the classics with some great ideas.

one of the best switch ports and great games overall. finally played through infinity :)

this game makes me sad. mainly then Im thinking that this is probably one of the top games we have currently. its touches mature topics, gameplay mechanics is nice, also this is defiantly the best yakuza game by far. but omg there is so many just plain peak frustration deign decisions it makes me really mad at times. and it is sad that this is pinnacle of gaming in 2026. first of all this game is in really bad technical state. despite having top notch pc the game crashes a lot in random moments. (dont bother write to sega support, since all they will ask you is update drivers and dance koombayah around your computer instead of making a ticket to fix). second, omg, robotics club and bikers club feels like day time job. on the other hand there is much better characters then other yakuza games that at least look like real persons and not a complete utter morons (like Kiryu). fighting is much better due to the fact that some character abilities is really powerful and fights is over before you get frustrated. bosses is awful and breaks pacing and does not play by the rules of other encounters. side quests is finally ok, no diaper dudes, very grounded stories which is nice. overall , this hame is 8/10, minus 5 points for technical state. fix your ****, sega!

main game is 810. machine for pigs and dlc is like 010) bundle worth buying only for the first game. performance on switch is ok

game progression is locked behind item grind and wheels minigame. first 10 hours of story is very boring and childish, become more interesting in second part. otherwise nice game, plays like super mario rpg

lots of game breaking bugs. sometimes character can stuck in world objects. sometimes inventory become unusable, sometimes you cant exit interactive scene, also cutscenes broken in docked mode (3/4 of display is cutscene, rest is black background with stuck subtitles rendered on top of each other. most of them fixable with game restart. and also why on earth did you change Kate model?

don't believe the hype! you will stuck for 20+ hours doing same exact locations and mobs over and over in first 3 levels, because everything else will kill you in 1 hit. grind is insane, you open new stuff very slowly. and Im not sure it will help you finish the game. lots (and I mean lots) of cheap deaths.totally overhyped

the game crashed right after I killed third boss. and, of course, progress was lost on next game start. sorry, but if you going to troll me with your poor optimisation, I will troll you with poor rating.

Balance is broken, played on normal and basically game stuck on first major boss. Game proposes I get back 1 week game time. It is around 3-4 hours of real time, I think. This is what I call **** fundamental design.

boring and grindy. feels more like mobile game. visuals is nice. this is a game of lost potential.

June 2025. Game still crashes once per hour (approx). if (IF) this would work, the main game is 1010. better buy it on other platforms

great game by obsidian. these guys know how to make rpgs. story is great, a lot of original south park humor, which does not ****. gameplay is additive. and also performance on switch is great

really cant understand the praise about this game. its very basic qte jrpg with dubious balancing. it looks like a kids game, but kids would not be able to play it (its quite difficult). for adults the story is very simple and boring. i dont get it. update after finishing it, getting used to flow of combat, become a bit **** in it this beautiful small world. I would say.. 6+?)

the story is that keeps you engaged, but puzzle gameplay is so bad, i wish there was a skip button. better to play this game on youtube

pros - optimization. cons - 1. pitch dark (even on docked), no gamma controls. 2. handicap controls (game is not tuned for gamepads at all) - so many game sections is unnecessary difficult (probably, I would not able to finish the game).

this is basically a modern “knytt stories”. (which is nice) e.g. adventure metroidvania with no combat. overall - 8. minus 2 points for some of the puzzles locked behind glitched tricks (like disk jump)

great classic game. some mechanics of it would actually put modern game worlds to shame. actually was playing for the first time (somehow I missed it in 2001, I think because friend of mine told me that there was only keyboard controls). controls was updated for nintendo switch, so it was not an issue and pleasant to play with controllers. Great game.

finally finished the game recently. controls are really (and I mean really really) outdated, but once you get hang of it the game keeps great pace up until end credits.

another game with cancer save mechanic. forgot to save once, died to some flies - hour of progress lost. I got that saving in this game is "artistic choice", but I have zero tolerance towards games which wastes my time

gets repetitive very fast due to the lack of restore points, so wasting players time is main theme with this one

boss fights is probably worst part of the game, would like an option to skip them all together

final boss is cancer, combined with strange dodge mechanic, it does not worth the time

It crashes a lot and not very well optimized (constant fps drops). Game itself although looks well from design point of view, but lacks in gameplay. Basically, you roam around empty forest trying to figure out what to do. Movement and fighting is slow and boring. People say the game is scary, but I can't confirm, more like atmospheric. I guess if you like survival games with really slow gameplay you might enjoy it. For people used to nintendo games it is a hard pass.
