Paper Mario: Color Splash8
Jan 23, 2017
This is probably the best RPG on the Wii U. The graphics are stunning and the storyline is great. But the battle system is one I really don't car for. Nevertheless, this is a great swan song for the old Wii U

Sonic Unleashed9
Jan 10, 2017
Before you say it, no. My one problem with this game is NOT the Werehog stages. I actually really liked those, and the rest of the game ain't too bad either. The stages are stellar, I love the music, and the controls are smooth as ice. My only problem is in some of the daytime stages, you can go from a 3D plane to a 2D plane. I like this touch, but it can REALLY screw up my coordination. I'd say you check it out, as it's one of the last good Sonic games we got before the atrocity that was Sonic **** for all I know the Werehog stages are DEFINITLY better than Ty 3's horrible excuse for combat

Ride to Hell: Retribution2
Jan 9, 2017
F*ck this ****! It looks decent enough and the controls are...alright, but the rest of the game is TERRIBLE with a big as the twin towers T. It is littered with bugs, has so much edgy it would make Shadow the Hedgehog and Ty 3 blush, ****'s just not fun.

Undertale5
Jan 9, 2017
Please don't murder me for this, but I actually didn't enjoy UnderTale that much. I tried to love it, as everyone does. But I really think this is one of those games that's loved by everyone because everyone loves it. I did enjoy the music and the **** that's all folks! I find the graphics to look HORRENDUS. I mean, Hyper Light Drifter looks incredible and also uses that overused pixel art style, but it does it well due to the fact that it doesn't utilize "Looks like the NES days of old!" as it's selling point. And even then I think most NES games look better than UnderTale, such as Kirby's Adventure. I also find the gameplay to be pretty monotonous and the battles either A: Pathetic, B: meh, or C: ABSOLUTELY NOT FUN AT ALL. I don't think this game is as good as everyone and their mom says and that Riot Pixels was right to call this game "an interesting idea but weak execution". Oh, and the **** fanbase can go to hell along with Anubis II and The Stonecutter

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword8
Jan 9, 2017
This is a pretty damn good Zelda installment. The graphics look nice, and the music is good. But the plot is one that I didn't really care for and the motion control is just plain bad, though not so bad as to tarnish the whole experience. Overall, I recommend you check it out, as it's really a fun time.

Ratchet & Clank (PS4)10
Jan 8, 2017
Whereas Star Fox Zero is a reboot done right, Ratchet and Clank PS4 is a reboot done PERFECTLY right. The graphics are amazing, the music is even better, the story presentation is immersive and made me feel like I was in the shoes of the ambitious lombax, and the gameplay expands on the Ratchet and Clank formula TENFOLD. I highly recommend it to anybody new to platformers or any fan of these trigger-happy games

No Man's Sky6
Jan 8, 2017
I was hyped for this game, and I think the game deserves the hype...mostly. The graphics are a joy to the eyes and 16 quintillion planets means infinite possibilaties. Unfortunatly, this suffers from the same problem that Minecraft does; it's repetitive and BORING. I still think it's worth checking out if you own a PS4 or have a Steam account (as it's availble on Steam), but you're likely to put the controller down within the first 15 minutes. and for a big budget game that was massively hyped, that's never a good thing.

Star Fox Zero9
Jan 8, 2017
This, people, is a reboot done right. It retrofits everything that worked in Star Fox 64 and then some. The graphics are gorgeous for a game on the ill-fated Wii U, the music is top notch, and some of the stages are a blast to play. But the ridiculous insistance on motion controls is a bit of a turn-off for me. But, unlike so many other people that live in their mom's basement, I don't think that the motion controls are so bad that they detriment the whole experience. This is one of the better titles for the Wii U. If you have a Wii U and don't have this game, it's a game you should buy before Nintendo drops the bomb known as the Switch

Rocket Knight9
Jan 7, 2017
I loved Rocket Knight Adventures and it's two sequels on the Genesis and SNES. I was sad that there wasn't any sequels. This was around the end of 2009 and shortly after New Year's day, I heard rumors that a new Rocket Knight game was in the works. Shortly afterward I have myself a digital copy of Rocket Knight on my **** I love it! The graphics are BEAUTIFUL, the soundtrack is a bunch of orchestral remixes of past Rocket Knight tracks (which is a plus in my book), and it plays like a dream. But it doesn't really add on to the established Rocket Knight formula. I HIGHLY recommend you check this out, as it's also avalible on XBLA and Steam. It is an almost perfect game!

Gex: Enter the Gecko8
Jan 7, 2017
I really enjoyed my time with this one. I considered Gex 1 to be pretty meh so I didn't plan on following up on this one. But I wound up with a digital copy of the PSX version of this of the PSN **** I love it! all the enviroments are visually pleasing, the music is nice, and it controls quite nicely. But Gex is pretty annoying himself and the camera can be a bit of a bother sometimes. Nevertheless, Gex: Enter the Gecko is a very solid collectathon platformer that's worth picking up! Can't say the same about the N64 version, though

Anubis II1
Jan 7, 2017
Fun fact: even though this game clearly says Anubis II on the box art, it is actually pronounced "Anubis the second". As it is NOT a sequel. There is no Anubis 1 Who ever conjured up this mess ****? it stinks. It controls like ass, there are alot of bugs and glitches. and It can be beaten in 10 minutes of you're a seasoned player. It ain't as bad as The Stonecutter on the Wii un eshop, but if you see this game in a bargain bin or pawn shop, stay away from it.

Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex7
Jan 6, 2017
Nobody saw this coming in 2002. A Crash game on a nintendo console? WHAT ****! Yet, here I am, playing a Crash game on the 16 year old purple/black/orange cube. It looks pretty good, the sound design is enjoyable and there's some great variety in levels. But, overall, it doesn't really change much about the formula. Overall, someone who is new to the Crash games will enjoy this a lot, but seeasoned Crash fans won't really find anything new here

Minecraft5
Jan 5, 2017
I REALLY didn't enjoy a lot of my time on this one. I tried it out because all my pals said it was "cool" and "fantastic" and "flawless" and then I played it...I don't agree. The pixel art style mixed with 3D visuals reminds me a lot of mode 7 on the SNES and the music fits the atmosphere **** it all goes downhill from here. The gameplay I find repetitive. And creative mode is surprisingly BORING. And since said creative mode is basically 1 out of 2 main gameplay modes this means I find half of the game BORING. Minecraft isn't a terrible game, by any means I do kind of recommend it for the graphics and sound and possibly the combat, but those who get bored easily and don't like games that have a fanbase comprised of obsessed 7 year olds are not going to like this gam

Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 3: Night of the Quinkan4
Jan 4, 2017
Ty 1 was average, Ty 2 was good, Ty 3 is almost a trainwreck. I'm sorry, but this is where the Ty series basically hit rock-bottom. the story is filled to the brim with cliche and cringe, the Gunyip missions and Kart missions are boring, the combat is "mash B button to win" and nothing else, Ty's new design is just plain stupid, and the final level is a hallway fiilled with enemies that you can skip and wind up beating the final level in under 10 minutes. I do like the addition of customizable boomerangs, even though it's worthless, and driving the Crabmersible is kind of fun, but that doesn't excuse this game from being a GIGANTIC step down from Ty 1 and Ty 2. I DO NOT reccomend it at all unless you have an I.Q. less than 5

Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 2: Bush Rescue7
Jan 4, 2017
Whereas Ty 1 was decent, Ty 2 is good. The fact that it's all clumped together in one huge map gives it a GTA feel, the fact that all of the missions are optional is a HUGE plus, the hubworld is actually good, and the plot is more slapstick and funny than Ty 1, which I think is a GIGANTIC plus. But Shazza's truck moves a bit slow, making getting to your destination take longer than it should, and the helicopter ****. It's a good game which I reccomend, but It's not a great one

OneShot8
Jan 4, 2017
I was initially turned off by the fact that you had to beat the game in one sitting, but I played and I discovered ****'s worth the one shot (GET IT?!). Th graphics and music are GORGEOUS. The dialogue is witty and fourth-wall breaking, and the gameplay is fresh all the way. The only problem is, again, the fact that you have to beat it in one sitting only appeals to hardcore gamers. Nevertheless, it's still a fantastic time

Evil Dead: A Fistful of Boomstick4
Jan 4, 2017
I initially gave this game a 5/10 calling it mediocore. That was when I was not really far into the game yet. Now iv'e finished the game ****'s a LOT worse. Once again there are the long as hell Load times and the bland looking eviroments and TOO MUCH SHADING. But now, I realized the gameplay is REALLY repetitive and boring. and I said the Music was only half bad? by that I meant the first three levels. I don't know why this has critical acclaim from usere, nor why a dude game this a zero because there wasn't enough blood (You can't make this **** up) but all I know is that critics are right to give this game "meh" review scores and if you disagree you can **** my boomstick

Earthworm Jim 3D4
Jan 4, 2017
Out of all the great 2D franchises to see a crappy, half-assed 3D installment, why oh why did it have to be Earthworm Jim? the two men behind the first two Earthworm Jim games, Douglas TenNapel and David Perry both hated this game and had ZERO involvement. Putting an already great game franchise in the hands of the drunk idiots who concieved Evil Dead: a **** of Boomstick is NEVER a good **** Interplay and Rockstar (yes, guys who made GTA Rockstar) insisted it go ahead. But enough of the history class! The graphics are bland and uninspired, calling the level design "level design" is one of the seven deadly sins, and the boss battles lack originality, unlike the first two Earthworm Jim games. The only thing I appreciate is the plot, which has Jim getting hit by a cow and getting sent into a coma-like state. That plot did get a minor laugh outta me. All in all, a crappy 3D platformer that is NOT worth your money on eBay. Spend it on Rogue One instead

Earthworm Jim HD9
Jan 4, 2017
the 90's was a weird time, that's for sure. Probably due to the likes of Ren and Stimpy or Beavis and Butt-head. But the weirdest of 'em all was definitely Earthworm jim. Does this HD remake update the original for newer generations? in a word, f*ck yes. The graphics have been built from the ground up and might even rival the upcoming Sonic Mania in terms of looks. The music has been redone as well, and feels right at home on the old 360. As for new features, it has Xbox live trophies, two of which are PAINFULLY hard to obtain, and online multiplayer not unlike New Super Mario Bros. Wii's chaotic excuse for multiplayer. This remake is a solid update which those that played the original might wanna check out. But Completionists beware, two of the Xbox trophies are obscenely hard to get.

Super Mario Maker8
Jan 3, 2017
Don't be put off by the fact that you can't share your courses with the world (mine are pretty **** so I'm speaking from personal opinion) this is actually a pretty solid port of an already great Wii U game. It looks just as great as its source material, is as GREAT is it too. But the removal of the mystery mushroom kind of takes the fun out of making Link run around in Mario's world. It's worth picking up if you don't have a Wii U, but only people that have kids and a wife will like to pick it up.

Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice7
Jan 3, 2017
I like Sonic, I don't like Sonic Boom, I saw trailer for this game, sent hate letters to SEGA asking them to cancel it, SEGA releases it, I buy it out of sheer boredom, 10 minutes later I think this game deserved some hype. Don't get me wrong, Sonic Boom: Fire and Ice ain't no Mario 64, but I still like it. The controls are responsive and tight, the level design is pretty damn solid, and the boss **** actually in this game. But the music and graphics are...generic at best. Bottom line is that it's DEFINETLY a step up from **** crystal. Just acknowledge that it's only "good" not "great"

Rayman 2: The Great Escape3
Jan 3, 2017
I already consider Rayman 2: the Great Escape to be not as good as Rayman 3 or Rayman Legends, I still think it was a solid game **** then comes this bastard that gives me my cynical 3AM wakeup call. I review remakes based on how well they update the original and...this game barely does that. the only updated model is Rayman, from what I can tell. But this ain't a ****'s a downgrade. It often slows down to 5 frames per second, has some technical issues, and the sound is EXTREMELY compressed compared to the original. Bottom line is, if you have no other way to play Rayman 2: the Great Escape, and you somehow turned your brain off, this one is for you! everyone else, run. All in all, a crappy port made simply for the means of cashing in on the popularity of Rayman 2

Rayman 2: The Great Escape7
Jan 3, 2017
I honestly don't think this is as good as Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc. the level designs are solid, Rayman controls tightly and is pretty responsive, and the game has a lot of variety, even if it's a mixed bag. Now for the bad parts: the story is WAY too dark and depressing. And that's never a bad thing, Dead Space did the same thing. but Dead Space is where you're fighting for you're life or else weird creatures kill you. Rayman 2 is where you're playing as a weird...eggplant vegetable thing with no arms or legs. why try and make that serious and dark? also, the flying barrel missions are a bit antagonizing and the bosses are a joke (except for the final one). I do reccomend it, but I honestly think Rayman 3 is better

The Stonecutter0
Jan 2, 2017
This load of **** actually exists. An old microwave could produce better artwork, programming probably took 15 seconds, and it's another reason why nintendo shouldn't let random software developers on to the Wii U store. It would only be worse if you had to pay mone- ARE YOU KIDDING ME IT COSTS MONEY TO PLAY THIS?! 0/10 all the way, baby!

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time7
Jan 2, 2017
Best game of all time? PAH! Don't let critic reviews fool you, this journey through hyrule is FAR from perfect, but it's still pretty darn good! The story is immersive and lovely, the graphics are **** 1998, and Link (the name of the hero but you can name him whatever you want) controls tightly and is pretty responsive, whereas Mario is pretty slippery. But the dungeon designs are pretty dated and the gameplay can get...repetitive to say the least. Also, any "rek th0s n00bs" Call of Duty kid who just so happens to have and N64 will be put off by the dated graphics. If your one of those whiny little jerks who thinks a game is the spawn of satan just because the characters look like a mess of triangles, I reccomend the 3DS remake. While I don't think this game is as good as everyone says, I still think it's a solid puzzle/adventure game and it's worth checking out if you have an old N64 collecting dust

TY the Tasmanian Tiger6
Jan 2, 2017
I like this game. It's not as good as Banjo-Kazooie, Super Mario Galaxy, or Crash Bandicoot 3, but I still like it. The graphics are solid and good-looking for a 15 year old GameCube game, The chill music tracks are good (the more intense/energetic tracks often fall flat on their face), and the dialogue, while not perfect, is still pretty good. But the level design is often frustrating and some of the missions are a pain to find and complete (looking at you, "Gantry Glide"). nevertheless, it's still worth picking up if you're a GameCube game collector

Sonic the Hedgehog (2006)3
Jan 2, 2017
Whenever I talk to someone about this game, they typically say "Sonic '06 would be great without the glitches". I say no. The eviroments are bland and uninspired (although pretty impressive considering the source material), the story would make The Phantom Menace blush, and the loading times are long enough to make a sandwich. The camera is a major problem too. I found myself fighting the camera more than the games enemies! I like the music though, especially "His World"

Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc9
Jan 2, 2017
Gonna say this right now: I LOVE this game. The cartoony graphic that make it look like a 3D looney tunes, the great soundtrack that makes you want to finish the game, the variety in levels. And the witty dialogue is...well...DELICIOUS. my favorite line is when Globox says "you were nicer in Rayman 2" as I punch the poor guy in the belly. My only nitpick would be that the Teensie Highway levels in between levels can get a tad frustrating, but it's a fantastic game nonetheless. Just keep in mind that it ain't no Banjo-Kazooie
