Excellent game, just finished it this week and it still holds up by today's standards. For me it's a step up from the first witcher game; the story is great, quests are interesting, you have different paths with several endings, you can change difficulty on the fly. I played one path till the end, then watched some youtube videos about the other paths, as I have too many games in my backlog to actually replay the game, even if it's very good.

Decent game, still holds up today. Finished the game on normal difficulty. Tiamat was pretty annoying, and you cannot change the difficulty midgame. The last boss on the other hand was quite underwhelming. If you are coming thinking it's a hack and slash, be careful because there are a lot of puzzles. These become extremely annoying near the end of the game (black throne, I followed a guide there).

A nice game. It's turn based, some strategy is involved, but nothing advanced. Story is funny. The mechanics are quite bare bones, but it's not a bad thing here as long as you play this as a side game between more "serious" games. Rather short with no replay value, unless you want all trophies. Recommended on deep sale.

Good game. No combat, you just move the main character, collect some items and use them to progress the story. The story doesn't make a lot of sense, but I guess some people prefer it this way. There are 6 endings. The main character sprite is very cute. Design could have been much better, you often have no indication that something is a door leading to somewhere else. Easy platinum.

If you're going solo, don't buy this game. I've been beating RTS games on normal difficulty since I was a kid, yet I've been stuck in level 3 of the second world "geminus", which is quite early on. It's clear the difficulty is only adapted for co-op. Add to this there is no story, extremely barebones mechanics. For a much better title with similar ideas, check X-Morph.

Wonderful game, had an amazing time. I would have liked more variation (though bosses added a nice touch), a more fleshed out story, maps with more personality (they often looked generic without reflecting the country). I have the complete edition so there are still a lot of things I didn't explore; I only finished the main campaign on normal and a couple of survival maps. Overall great package.

I heard it was bad, I saw the ratings, but I never imagined it would be such a disaster. Without spoiling anything, here are things you should consider before trying this game. Pros: The graphics are fantastic. That's all. Now for the rest: (1) This is not a horror game. If it was a movie, it would be tagged as "drama", then "action" maybe. You are not escaping some evil or hoping to find survive to reach some destination. In this game you are the hunter. If there is any horror, it's you. The whole game is about a quest for revenge. In doing so, you will butcher countless humans. There are still some infected (zombies) here and there, but they are more like random critters, not at all the main focus. (2) This is the main problem. You play as various characters, but they are all detestable, including Ellie. I've never hated main characters that much before. If it was a movie it would be alright perhaps. But sticking such long hours commanding a character that you hate on a quest that you reject makes enjoying the game impossible. I still watched the story to the end, and believe me, it only gets worse. In the last hour of the game, I was like, are you for real !!! (3) As others commented, the game has a lot of political messages here and there. As a mature individual I don't care, but the problem is with influenceable kids playing the game. And no matter what the rating is, kids will always play all kind of games. Then it becomes a problem what they are being told. I believe this game killed the franchise. The only way they could release another game in this series is by moving completely away from this horrible cast.

It was a decent experience. It was an important step forward 13 years ago and inspired important games like Outlast. By today's standard it certainly shows its age. I did not find the game particularly scary (Outlast had me sitting on the edge of my seat a lot more). The story is good. Graphics are dated, some mechanics quite cumbersome. Difficulty is more on the easy side; I had a lot of unused resources in the end, and enemies get adjusted to you, so if you die, they bother you less. Puzzles were nice, there may be more here than standard horror games. Some editions come with the Justine DLC. I didn't bother with that one much as this side story does not save your progress, so you have to finish it in one go.

My first and probably last Saints Row game. Had some fun at the beginning, say for 6 hours, with a super-powered GTA experience, but then it started to get old. I think they went too far with sexuality, including LGBTQ material that felt almost pornographic. The humor is not really funny for me, it felt more like delirium. Humor is great from time to time, but not all the time. I did finish the game and DLC just to get to the end, but not really because I was interested.

This should have stayed a phone game. I really disliked it and in fact I deleted the game after going through 3/4 of it, although I usually try to finish games. Aiming is awful, the mouse controls are sometimes unresponsive, and most atrocious, there is the weird mechanics that dodging or using your shield quickly depletes your tiny stamina bar, after which you are left completely vulnerable. The story is uninteresting, the game is short so you don't get attached to anyone, in contrast to classic RPGs. Don't waste your time with this one.

Finally played and finished this classic. If you are familiar with the old game books in which "you are the hero", then this game will give you a similar feeling. You will read. A lot. The novel based on the computer text is more than 400 pages. Thankfully the writing is very good and will keep you interested until the end. Combat is rudimentary, but is not the main aspect here. Character build is forgiving if you make mistakes. A few fights were challenging, but these were optional.

It's a very good game, strategy and good humor. My only issue with this game is the same I had with Valkyria Chronicles: the fact that you can save any time actually diminishes the fun, and make the "miss" parameter pointless as you can just load your game when this happens. Of course you can choose not to save, but the game appears to be designed for you to save all the time. The maps can take a lot of time in the later game, you are always outnumbered, so unless you are ready to repeat the map several times, the game assumes you will just keep loading until you have perfect moves. I would have preferred if levels were easier and shorter but without the ability to save.

They try to add some replay value by allowing you to play as Duke, but since everything is identical except for Duke's voice (the others have the same script), it does not really work. If you don't mind the game being short and get it on deep sale, then go for it. While it lasts, it's excellent. I played on laptop with touchpad by the way, no mouse, but I remapped the default zoom/shooting to a keyboard button, otherwise it would be impossible to snipe.

This game was on my laptop for many years; I've only tried it a couple of weeks ago and finished it yesterday. Took about 14h on warlord difficulty. This is an old school CRPG with a lot of good humor. You have attributes and skills that you strengthen when you level up, but the game doesn't punish you if you mess up a bit with the skill tree. The story is ok, the combat is straightforward, the loot is almost nonexistent, but there is something magical there that will keep you smiling throughout the adventure. A few annoying combat glitches, like your companions don't attack unless you attack first. But since the game is not really hard even on warlord, it's ok.

I got this for free and I deleted after 30-45 minutes. You can finish this game in an hour if you know your way. So what do the devs do? Well, expand each area and make the navigation horrendous, so that you keep wasting your time running in circles through the empty levels, without a map, and you have no save function within the level, so you must repeat the whole thing again if you get tired of this. Outlast is miles better than this.

My first Tale game. I wasn't expecting anything. Turned out to be amazing. I'm not a big fan of the battle system, but the story is good, the characters are likable, their interactions are fun, the music is excellent, which is essential for RPGs, it ranges from high beats like Zaveid's theme to soothing one like the one protected by the wind. The main game took me around 50h, been doing most sidequests I think (didn't hunt for achievements though). After the game, there is a good epilogue story for Alisha, as well as a postgame where you can go to an isle and fight monsters. This adds about 10-14h I guess. For Alisha's dungeon and the postgame, I suggest you lower the difficulty and drink a holy bottle, otherwise the battles can become tedious. All in all a lot better than expected, and I'm looking forward to more Tales.

Maybe in other games you feel variety when replaying, but here it gets repetitive. I would have given the game at least a 7 if there was an option to save before the overpowered bosses that can squash you in an instant, as the dodge mechanics is pretty bad. Glad I bought this on deep sale. Note: my nephews couldn't get the local coop to work, even though they have no problem in other games. I don't know if that's a real issue or not.

It's an excellent game. Very good story, the length of the game is adequate (around 40h and I didn't try the "expert" skirmishes). The DLC that comes for free in this edition is also very nice. I'm not giving a 10 because you can just save at every action, which undermines any randomness in hits (why not just remove randomness then and have sure fires instead of saving/loading to get it right?). Of course, you can argue, well don't save. That's correct, but later battles can take a very long time and one misstep or **** landmine can have a great consequence. If you want the best experience, I'd say save from time to time, but don't abuse it. Anyway, buy the game if you like strategy. I haven't played XCOM yet, but I guess this game is an easier version of it.

It's very good at what it does, but I wish there was more substance to the game, unfortunately it gets repetitive, so despite being short, I didn't really wish for more levels after finishing the campaign and DLC. I can't say I did much stealth here; in fact Far Cry 3 felt a lot stealthier! You can sneak and melee finish an enemy, you can throw distracting stones, but the mechanics is very underused, you are not encouraged at all to do it. I was also not motivated to replay the game on harder difficulties; only played on normal. I would have given a higher score if it was not so overpriced. Only get on deep sale.

Nice shooter. You move with the left stick and aim with the right stick. To fire you need to press buttons. You have 6 characters, each playing differently. For some characters you must press the L1/L2 buttons to fire, which is a very bad idea because most normal people don't have the kind of muscles to button mash left buttons!! The user interface has no explanations, no tutorials, no controls explained. You can choose 2 power ups before starting by scrolling the "extra respawn" above and below the character. Some power ups are clear, others I have no idea. What does "Late shield" do for example ? The game is quite hard I think but maybe some have better reflexes. I only managed to get the bronze trophies for the three characters T7, Q and Kore. I found it's generally better to stay still and kill enemy waves, only moving to avoid the large blue circles. It also helps to turn on the "dark blood" in the options, to see better what's going on, although the original colors are prettier. I give it a 7 partly due to the price tag. If it was more expensive I would give it a 6. Edit: I finally got the golden trophy for T7, with an omega score of 5350.

Glad I tried it before buying. Based on version 1.3.0. This is a racing game, the combat is very secondary and underwhelming. When going full speed, it's very easy to bump into one of the innumerable obstacles and go flying, moving from 1st to last position. This is my main reason for finding the game unpleasant and tough; I cannot memorize everything. Sometimes you don't know which way is the race. The game also uses the infamous rubber banding. This means that if you hold the 1st position long enough, the AI will cheat and go compete with you out of nowhere. But it also works the other way around: if you mess up for some time, the AI will fool around until you come and compete with him. At least in the early races, apparently the game gets very tough later on. This causes frustration to many players. Try to play the game yourself before buying and see if you like it.

Good game overall. At first I wanted to rate it 1/10. After a while, I thought 5/10. I finally give it the final score of 7/10. You should know that different cars feel different here. I hated the car they give you at first, but after getting more decent cars the experience improved. If you're new to the genre, know that most of the game is a "time attack" sort of thing, you don't see your opponents while racing, ultimately you should just beat the time. This "AI" time is inconsistent. In one race I get the gold medal, in the next one I get the last place. There is no "learning" involved, the times are just off. This seriously undermines the fun to be had. There are still a few other modes, namely rallycross and elimination, but they are few. In general the game is tough on easy difficulty. For comparison, I beat Ride 2 and stood on the peak of world standing without much trouble on easy difficulty. If you get the game, make sure you don't throw it until you try the Loeb experience. With the interviews with Loeb and the different cars they give you to try (and unlock), it was a great experience (even if I only beat about half the events so far). The levels look the same, the enemies look the same (except for those funny exploding Khorne). Maybe the models are not sufficiently detailed. I don't know, you have a mix of addictive, yet not fully immersive gameplay, that will occupy you for a long time. The story is here but not told well. Ride 2 is a great game, the old reviews you find on the web are really unfair. My guess is that perhaps things got fixed since release. The reviews should have been updated. I currently own about 25 bikes, they all feel different. I'm not at all an expert in racing, I only have a controller and mostly played arcade racing (mini)games before. Yet I have a lot of fun with this title. I do keep most assists on so far, it's the kind of riding that I want. With that, the racing is a lot of fun; nothing beats carefully crashing other bikers to take the lead :D I have tons of gold medals, played over 100 races and still coming back. Money is a bit slow to come; the bikes are expensive to buy and to upgrade. But that's why you have these invitational events every 8 races, where you are offered four times the usual credits plus a free bike. So I'd say progression is well balanced. There are still tons of content to explore, I haven't tested these R1 bikes yet. I can tell you though that super fast bikes are a lot more difficult to handle than average ones, as expected. The game encourages you to explore different kinds of bikes all the time by putting limits on the maximum pp in races. So no bike is ever obsolete. As a negative point, I'd say the game doesn't encourage you to take risks by removing assists and increasing the difficulty. Indeed, the game only rewards you with a very tiny bonus for a significantly harder experience. It would have been more exciting to give greater rewards for brave riders. Another negative point is the existence of a booster pack you can buy with real money. Unless you are a hardcore fan of motorcycles, I recommend you buy the standard edition, it's cheaper and already has more bikes than you'll ever manage to buy.

Tons of content. I bought this collection on sale from the psn store a few months ago, it came with DI, DI Riptide and DI retro. I only finished DI so far and I've sunk abound 40 hours in it, just playing with 1 of the 4 possible characters (Sam B) and only getting around 65% trophies. I only play solo as I have no ps+, but it is very manageable, you'll die and die but the difficulty is really reasonable if you don't rush into mobs like an idiot (which I do sometimes for fun). At least with Sam B, I don't know about the others. If you want to do all optional sidequests then be ready to do lots of fetch quests. The main story missions are generally more engaging. The zombies levels scale with you so there isn't much point in grinding. You have rpg elements (you level up and have a skill tree, stats are automatic). You have to craft weapons all the time because their durability is weak, but you never run out of weapons, and testing different blueprints is a lot of fun.

I have great memories from this one. The FPS exploration/story/music was amazing.

Very well crafted game. A bit short but well worth the price on sale. If you played the old Tomb raiders you know the game is not only about combat but also puzzles. Here the puzzles of the main story are quite easy, while those of optional stuff can be quite challenging. I like this choice.

Great game, my first experience with this franchise. Just finished the 20 levels main campaign and still have the DLC to attack. The story could be better, and it would be even better if these 20 levels were divided into two 10 levels campaign (the story pace is too slow). The soundtrack is quite poor, it seems there is only one music for the dungeon, one music for the overworld. Still the gameplay is a lot of fun once you get used to it (I had to watch some guides to learn the basics in the beginning as the tutorials don't really explain things well for newcomers). Deserves an 8/10, but I'm giving a 9 as an encouragement for the devs.

The game is good, not great but fine. Grabbed this on sale. It's a turn based strategy, you produce units at your base, the mission is always to kill the enemy hero or capture all of his buildings. You have 7 campaigns, each having 6 missions, so it's a lot of content. You can also play skirmishes beyond the campaign. By accepting optional quests you can also buy perks to help you improve your game a bit. The main issue is that the game gets repetitive after a while; all campaigns play largely the same way because the units are exactly the same, the only thing that changes is your hero. You can platinum this one without difficulty. The trophy for skirmishes was glitchy for me but i ended up getting it after 3 attempts. The game crashed 3 or 4 times in some specific moves, for example when the hero rat mother counterattacks. When I avoided these moves it went well. The crashing was not a big issue because the game autosaves after each turn.

This is a brilliant game, I totally fell in love with it. You play as Otto, a kind of summoner (technically a shaper) on a mission to save the world and your betrothed ! Classic story, but the world you explore is very beautiful, feels like Moana somehow, paired with a calm soothing music. The gameplay consists of some simple puzzles, but the main interest is in battles. You can summon different types of "guardians" to attack the enemy, and you can attack yourself using your staff. You gain experience as you win battles (and puzzles), this helps you reinforce your skill tree both on personal skills and guardians skills. Concerning personal skills, these are mostly for your constitution/melee damage, and more importantly battle cries to boost your guardians. You (Otto) has no magic, only melee attack. You have no equipment. You can reset your skills distribution at any time. This dungeon crawler is very special in that it's pretty tactical. Each enemy will require a special strategy to win, especially on later levels. The difficulty can indeed seem infuriating later on, but I always found that by varying the composition of my team of summons, I eventually kicked the boss' ass. Other times I had fun just spamming the guy with tons of melee fighters and fighting with them, cornering the guy without mercy. You will need to stay alert in battles if you want to win good victories (there is a rank). You have to move your troops when in danger, strike when you find an opening, and so on. I beat the game in a rather completionist fashion in 13 hours, on Normal difficulty. This may seem a bit short, but I'm satisfied, and keep in mind this game is not expensive. Perfectionists can always beat the game again on Hard. Collectibles places are not contrived, and they are useful so you are encouraged to gather them. Trophy hunters will be pleased that although I'm not a hunter myself, there are only 2 hidden I have left, so getting a platinum is doable. Lastly, I found you can play the game perfectly fine with the PS4 controllers, you'll get a bit confused at first, but then everything becomes very intuitive; no need for mouse/keyboard as another review suggested.

That's a fun shooter game, plays very well on the PS4 controller. It's quite old school, but you do level up (so your soldiers do more damage/have more defense) and you can buy equipment improvements (better damage/hit ****), you can also buy uniforms which are not only cosmetic but also increase some stats, etc. The content is a lot more than I anticipated from this inexpensive game. In each campaign you have a very fun zombie survival mission (you don't need to buy the Zombie Campaign DLC to play this). The difficulty in the beginning is very easy, but as you go on, you'll probably die several times, especially on Hard difficulty. I didn't play this game continuously, it was more of an in-between game between more "complex" ones, and it was very good at that.
