Another Crab's Treasure10
May 9, 2024
Feels like a SpongeBob N64 Soulsike.
And I mean that in the best way.
This game is overflowing with heart and soul. Sure there are some bugs and glitches but honestly for that was some of the fun. Plus, if something goes wrong they open up a lot of the settings where you can "make things right" with your souls if something glitches. Loved loved my time in this game and the developers should be proud of this little marvel.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom10

Fantastic Zelda game. Not as big of a leap forward as BOTW was but still a truly wonderful game. If you are a Zelda fan or just enjoy exploration, this is another must play.

Lies of P8
Oct 27, 2023
Lies of P is a must play if you enjoy the souls genre. Solid gameplay, immersive creative French steampunk (Bioshocky) environment. Interesting souls story telling and characters.
Would not be a bad introduction to the souls genre but there are better options. If you don't like souls games, I don't think I would recommend this title unless you are just a really big Pinocchio fan.

The Last of Us Part II10
Aug 10, 2022
Everything about Last of Us 2 was crisp, immersive, and delightful. The Last of Us series is my favorite implementation of the survival horror post apocalyptic genre. The acting, the controls, the ambience, and the story are all 10/10. Would recommend this game to anyone.

Resident Evil Village7
Aug 10, 2022
As a newcomer to the Resident Evil series I was able to pretty quickly pick up on the nuances of the game. I enjoyed the puzzle survival horror game, but I couldn't help but feel like I was missing some of the nostalgia that has made this series a mainstay for many console generations. I enjoyed the game but some of the combat controls and gun feedback felt a little lacking. Would only recommend this game to fans of the series.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits8
Aug 10, 2022
Kena: Bridge of Spirits was a peaceful, cute game with a surprisingly deep and rewarding combat system. There were some minor camera bugs that made certain boss battles more difficult than needed to be. But overall, I enjoyed my time as a spirit guide and would recommend to a friend.

Elden Ring10

What more could I possibly want out of a challenging fantasy game? This game led to my favorite gaming moment of my adult life. My college roommate drove in from out of town, we both took the day off of work, and we set up two TVs in my living room and spent all of release day playing Elden Ring. I will never forget Exploring Limgrave with nothing but awe and excitement. I already put 80hrs into getting the Platinum on my first playthrough. This game clearly isn't for everyone, but to me, it is a masterpiece. Thank you Miyazaki, George RR Martin, and the whole From Software team. You can tell how much love and care was put into every detail of this game. No notes. 10/10

God of War10
Jun 4, 2021
God of War ruined all other video games for me (for at least a little while). In every aspect **** experience, GoW excelled. - Gameplay: Incredible - Story / Character Development: Outstanding - Soundtrack / Visuals: Awe-Inspiring I can't think of anything negative to say about this game so I will leave it here, if you have written off this game due to the sexual indulgences of the games in the past, you are doing yourself a disservice.

Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales7
Mar 4, 2021
Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, why aren't you more fun? I really wanted to enjoy you I did. But there was something about this DLC-esque sequel that didn't spark that same awe and amazement that the first installment did. I don't know if it was because I was just coming down off a mountain top high of Demon's Souls, but for some reason this game just felt a little hollow. Like there was more time spent throwing collect-a-thons of every kind and color all over the map than the story itself. The first game I ever Plat-ed was the original Spider-Man PS4 but I would give this game the kind of honor I wanted to bestow upon it's predecessor. That being said, I would never call this a "bad" game, just deeply set in the shadow of it's older brother.

Astro's Playroom9

What better way to explore your new long awaited console than with Astro's Playroom? Thank you Sony for taking a page out of Nintendo's playbook. The last time I had this much fun with an out of the box Tech Demo was Wii Sports back in 2006.

The Last of Us Remastered10
Mar 4, 2021
What can I say about Last Of Us that hasn't been said many times before? I was a late, late comer to the series, but even this graphics snob popped this 7 year old remaster of an 8 year old game into his brand new PS5 and cried when the story ended. This story was the continuation of I am Legend that Middle School me never thought he would get. If you haven't played this game, just do yourself a favor and play it.

Maquette9
Mar 4, 2021
I greatly enjoyed Maquette. With puzzles like Escher / Monument Valley and a story and soundtrack akin to 500 Days of Summer, this dreamy puzzler is the perfect way to pass some time during quarantine. (Especially if you can get it free from PS Plus!) Devs, if any of you see this review, thank you for a wonderful little game, it brought me joy during a tough time.

Demon's Souls blew my mind. This game popped my Soulsbourne cherry and what a special time it was. They say you always remember your first, and I will never forget Demon's Souls.
