It's about as close to French farce as romantic comedies get, and the closer the better.

The picture is actually watchable. What's more, as romance comedies go, it's something of a novelty.

I've knew Matthew McConaughey before, but only heard him in the animated movies Sing and Sing 2. This is the first movie I've seen him in live-action, and he just shines in the film. Kate Hudson is also terrific in the movie too, and they both combine together to have great chemistry between the two. The movie also has sharp and witty dialogue that even got some laughs out of me, as long as a great musical score from David Newman that gives a little heartfelt side to it. Overall, it's a great watch, and one of the best rom-com's I've ever seen. If you have Paramount+, watch it on there.

Very clever thought out movie. So funny I can't help but like this movie. One is trying to make her fall in love in days, and the other one is trying to make him break up with her in 10 days.

As her character resorts to increasingly cruel and devious pranks, Hudson only seems funnier and more endearing.

With a premise this screwy, nobody has any choice but to follow the savvy lead of Bebe Neuwirth, who, as Hudson's "Composure" editor, hams her queen-bitch-mother-hen role to glazed perfection.

The few chuckles the film affords come early, and too often the script desperately tries to repeat them. By the end, it's not funny or happy -- just over. And you're glad for it, the one true emotion you feel in the whole two hours.

Large chunks of the film seem like a record played at the wrong speed: The tempo of the dialogue as delivered doesn't match the lines as written, and the filmmakers are too lazy or too inept to make their convoluted premise jibe with any recognizable idea of human nature.

All in all, the only lesson here is how to irritate. This is a stupid movie for stupid people. If you're a stupid person, knock yourself out. Please

It would be a criminal offence to start anywhere other than the two beautiful, talented, gorgeous leads - Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey. Surely chemistry between stars was invented because of their connection in How to Lose…! Not only is it off the charts, but it is untouchable and feels so authentic. You can’t help but feel yourself fall into both of their traps, and root for both of them, for the entire movie. They are surrounded by a decent, but not entirely memorable, cast, all of whom do an okay job. Without a doubt though the real stars and scene stealers are Hudson and McConaughey. I laughed out loud a lot during How to Lose…, and it was proper belly-laughs. The comedy was silly and overly 00’s but that more than added to the charm. How to Lose… does use every trope in the rom-com book: characters participating in a bet, fake dating, fall in love (fake)/fall in love (real) etc etc. but the cast make this feel so special that I found myself not caring because I enjoyed it so much. You can genuinely see, and feel, the connection between Hudson and McConaughey which sets apart How to Lose… from your bog-standard rom-com. The soundtrack is like a time-capsule, full of old-school bangers and the costumes are so on-point as well. Let’s take a moment for THE outfit of the 00’s, Hudson’s iconic yellow dress. They just don’t make rom-coms like this anymore! It’s dumb, cheesy and predictable but incredibly heart-warming and mushy that you can’t help but have tonnes of fun!

How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days works because of its chatismatic leads. The writing is very mixed. The story is predictable, but it has unique elements. Sometimes it's pure fun, sometimes it's a little too much. The dialogues are usually unnatural, but some of that comes with the genre. The character are so fun though. They're very similar people and it's really fun to watch them achieve their goals. To be honest I did not look out for directing, cinematography and editing traits, but they are probably around average, since I didn't catch any choices I would consider amazing or horrific. The casting and the acting performances on the other hand. Now those were absolutely on point. How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days is really great at what it's trying to be, but it's boring in the middle.

How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days is a romantic comedy with heart. The basic concept is well executed, but some scenes in the film feel a bit weak, and the love story unfolds a little too quickly for my taste. Still, it is definitely an entertaining comedy worth watching, though it may not be the top choice for true film enthusiasts.

The definitive Matthew McConaughey romantic-comedy. How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days knows exactly what it is and manages to excite regardless. Kate Hudson isn't half bad either.

This is one the worst movies i ever seen. The woman does more than required to disturb her friend while he is very passive in her stupid actions ad behavior
I propose anyone watch the love tactics 1&2 . its based on this movie as subtle humor but plot is better
