Version 1.08 is still full of bugs. The construction menu only opens not every time, same problem with the pip-boy. Yesterday, I lost five hours because of a bug in the quest system (I already killed the mission target, yet the quest wants me to do it, which is not possible anymore..). It is a really nice game with an interesting setting and a good plot, but Bethesda's QA department would be to first to face the wall if only they and I survived a nuclear apocalypse.

Great story, very good graphics (by Wii U's standards), motivating challenges, complex fighting system, everything RPG lovers like is there, and it feels great overall. There are only two major downsides. First, there is the ludicrous and financially crippling penalty every time your skel (essentially: a fighting robot) gets destroyed. A complete wipe of your party (usually four characters/skels) costs so much in-game currency to repair that closing the app via the Wii system menu (there is no "load" command and no auto-save in the game, so save early, and save often!) and going through the main menu is the only viable option. Second, you gain money automatically just by standing around idle. So, what most players do is leaving their Wii U console switched on while going to work/school. The Wii U does not consume much power (compared to other consoles of the current generation), but still this is an absolutely insane mechanic.

Yes, it is an MMO heavy on the story, so you must complete the base game's main quest due to Heavensward's story building on top of that. If you do not like that, do not buy it. But if you do, you are in for fantastic, beautiful worlds, the best control scheme for an MMO ever seen on a console, superb music, impressive bosses, and a very well-policed, helpful and non-toxic community. Do not let the 2.5 global cool down timer fool you: Lots of abilities are off-GCD, and sooner than later you will your hands full juggling the demanding number of skills to get the maximum out of your job. And, by the way, as always, you can play ALL jobs/classes in a single character. No need to create any twinks.
