While JL ain't great, it has the hallmarks to be it. First a little of the bad stuff. Its clear there was a lot more in this movie then we got to see. Because of it, a lot of the backstories for these characters were sacrificed. And Steppenwolf is a **** villain. Now the good stuff. The characters work. And work well. When all 6(hint hint) of these heroes get on screen it's pure magic, man. The action is pretty awesome too. Nothing ground breaking but one particular "clash of the titans" scene at the end of the second act was just awesomeness. The critics are valid, but the rating is wrong. This had problems but nothing too terrible. This ain't great but its pretty damn good.

This movie is kickass. It does an incredible job in its first opening minutes introducing you to what you are about to experience and then doesn't let up till the closing act. Relentless is the word. And Harrowing. A gorgeous piece of cinematic craftsmanship with clever Nolan-esque editing to boot.

Korean movies don't get the billing they deserve from most audiences. The critics are right this time. This movie will leave you with something, but the best movies do. A mish mash of movie genres that turns out to become something wholly unexpected. Perfect Cinema.

No spoilers here, this came completely from left field. If you are a horror/suspense fan, you owe yourself this. For better viewing, skip the trailers and reviews and just get it. It works best when you're devoid of the premise.

One of the better action sequels of recent memory. This doubles down on everything its about and pushes forward with its story, fleshing out its world and characters and building on the mythology of "Baba Yaga". A proper sequel. That said, go watch the original before you jump into this one.

The humor in this movie is unrelenting. Almost to its own detriment, but it still manages to pack in a lot of heart. While the first was fresh and exciting, this digs deeper into its characters. No simple feat, considering how much is going on. It makes new favorites of old characters( and some new ) and while the some things may put off some, the sum of its parts is something to be admired.

Watch this! Watch this! Watch this! It isn't the best science fiction movie you'll ever watch. But this has gut and heart and soul. This is Denis Villeneuve's best work. And yes, I watched Sicario. But this is.. Watch it.

Fleeting. I mean, this movie just whizzes by. The performances are great, and there's something to be said about Kate Mckinnon here. But this is about as disjointed as a Supernatural-Comedy can get. The genre's don't work together, they're just there. Pales to the original, but that IS a pretty high bar.

Despite what critics said of the FIRST, I quite liked it. While this tries to carry on in the same vein, it feels like a two hour special of the original cartoon. TEEENAAAGE MUUUTAAANT NI...zzzz, zzzz,zzzz... TUUURTLES!

If you enjoyed the first one, and walk into this with the same headspace, you may enjoy it. I did! Rife with all the cheese and camp the first had,this feels like a 90's movie with updated visual effects. This isn't a "good" movie. Plot, characters, script, don't quite gel. But this is a fun movie, or at the least it tries to be.

Serviceable. Quicksilver's cool. That cameo's awesome. The new characters work. Everything else though? is kinda dull. Oscar Isaac feels wasted here. And I love Oscar Isaac. Not a bad movie, it just pales in comparison to everything else before it . Worth a watch, but just the one.

Its like watching Man of Steel all over again, its squanders opportunity recklessly for cheap thrills, drops awesome plot points for less interesting ones to drive story arcs that don't lead anywhere. This movie isn't bad, its disappointing

What shine's with this movie is Jeff Nichols directing. His writing, not so much. The story is sparse, gleans intentionally on elements that could be so much more. The characters work, simply because they do except kirsten dunst. Her role could have been completely ignored and nothing would be lost here. The finale comes short. This is worth a watch though.

New yet, familiar characterizations, Funny and heart warming. This doesn't disappoint. The first in a dozen live action remakes from Disney that actually delivers the goods.

With the bar marvel sets for its movies, this scores just above average. Not bad, but not great. Enough to keep you entertained for its run time, but nothing to write home about.
