I usually give a new show three episodes before I make up my mind, one way or the other. I stopped watching this show in the middle of the third episode. I rarely stop watching before the end of an episode, but by the second commercial break, I said, "I just don't CARE," and changed channels. Don't get me wrong, I really like Billy Crystal and I really like Josh Gad. And, based on the advertising for this show, I think that if they had the right vehicle, they could be really good together. But the best part about this show is the trailer.

You know, I really like Neil DeGrasse Tyson. It's really appealing when someone -- anyone -- LOVES what they do for a living and he seems to do so in spades! He also has an ability to explain things so that anyone can understand the concept. I'm definitely NOT a science person, but he manages to make even unadulterated science interesting to me. This show's a keeper NGC!

I've been watching this series and I certainly have mixed feelings about it -- mostly because I lived through this stuff. I find myself saying to myself, "I remember that," and remembering the emotions and opinions I had about it at the time. But here's an example of the saving grace of this program. When they showed the scenes of the students killed at Kent State, they DIDN'T play "Ohio" in the background (this song generally makes me angry all over again, but I won't digress into music). I fully expected that they would. Most programs that discuss the student protests and riots do. That's when it dawned on me that these folks are making a real effort to present the facts and just the facts, without opinion or judgment. For that reason, I recommend this series to everyone, young or old. If you lived it, it doesn't feel like reliving your glory days. If you're younger than that, you might learn something. Maybe we'll get a dialog going between grandparents and grandchildren. Wouldn't that be nice!

This is one of the most engrossing mini-series I have ever watched. I know some of the history wasn't quite right, but I think they did a really good job getting the personalities of the people onto the screen. LOVED Rob Morrow's portrayal of Fannin! And Deaf Smith! I really didn't know much about him going into the series, but believe me, I've done some research since. One of the best and highest functions of TV is that spark that leads you to search for more knowledge. This series did it for me.

I was really looking forward to this mini-series. Imagine my disappointment after 3 episodes when it dawned on me that it was really just an excuse for the murder-of-the-week. There's enough gore in the real world. I really don't need to subject myself to more.

I watched most of the first episode. About 2/3 of the way in, I reluctantly decided that this is just an unwatchable mess. It made me sad because I think Natasha Leggero is one of the funniest people on the planet and I was really looking forward to this series. Oh well, better luck next time.
