Samurai Warriors 49
Feb 15, 2015
If there was any Warriors game to get into, it is this. It runs very smoothly, looks great for a Musou game, and it's just as fun. The only caveat is that there are no English voices, only Japanese, but I can guarantee you that the story is fairly easy to follow.

Assassin's Creed Unity6

Painfully average. The story is pretty good, the graphics are fantastic, and the characters are great, especially Arno. BUUUUUUT! The combat tends to not work well half the time, and the frame-rate is not smooth and very unstable. Co-op is pretty interesting, though. The direction they were heading in was great, but the gameplay mechanics (stealth, fighting) and the frame-rate get in the way.

Dead Rising 38
Dec 31, 2014
For a Dead Rising game, it's the best so far. It looks great, runs great, and plays better than all the other installments. The campaign is timed but it there's no way you'll be stressed for time management. It has co-op, too, but it's not offline co-op. Ah well. Also, the smartglass is very gimmicky, I wouldn't recommend putting time into it. On it's own, the graphics aren't the best, but it's not a buggy mess and it runs smoothly. TL;DR - You like killing zombies with insane weapons in an open world? Get this.

Sunset Overdrive9
Dec 26, 2014
This game is a breath of fresh air. I know you're thinking, "The game looks slow and boring." I completely agree BUT you have to look at it as an action-platformer game to really appreciate the gameplay; think Ratchet and Clank, or Jak & Daxter. Some guns have the generic feel (like the AK-looking rifle, and shotgun) but most have fun qualities about them. And what makes them even more fun are the Amps, which act like perks. Essentially, the gameplay is all about shooting cool weapons while jumping and grinding around, just as you would in a game like Ratchet & Clank. I appreciate the story, and overall vibe, because it focuses on having fun, sort of like Saint's Row but without the lewdness. Really, from the games I've seen so far since this current-gen began, no other game is like Sunset Overdrive. tl;dr - If you liked the PS2-era of action-platformers (Jak & Daxter, Ratchet and Clank), or just a casual shooter-platformer with a "blow $&@% up" vibe, then you should definitely check this game out.

Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten9
Aug 17, 2014
It's a must have if you're into Disgaea. If you like turn-based SRPG's, like Final Fantasy Tactics, then you should also definitely get this; the humor is light, and the characters are cooky. The only thing is is that this game involves heavy grinding if you want to complete everything beyond the story. TL;DR - Like turn-based SRPG's? Buy this.

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes6
Mar 19, 2014
Ground Zeroes is fantastic! The controls feel very smooth though it's similar to previous MGS games. As far as gameplay, the shooting is just like MGS4, and CQC is just like Peace Walker only it looks cooler. There is great replay value and 5 other missions you can play but it all takes place on the same map; however, it took me under an hour to beat just the main mission and around a half hour each for 4 other missions. So, unless you like to figure out different ways to approach your goal and experiment, you won't like this. TLDR; Buy it if you're a MGS fan or if you like stealth/action games. If you worry about value, wait until the price drops.
