The only tangible addition to this Gran Turismo over the previous games in the series is the predatory micro transactions and exploitative gameplay loop. Do not buy, but if you already did then refund it.

Imagine being a small time dev releasing a reasonably polished, deep, and thoughtful game and getting a 7 from IGN, and then watching something so fundamentally broken get a 10 from IGN. This release is everything that is wrong with the game industry these days. A game that is supposed to be online and community centric has a non-functioning netcode 3 weeks after product release at a premium AAA price point. People who paid for this game outright at $100+ must be livid. Thankfully a lot of us are playing it on Gamepass, and it's only worth the $1 trial period at that!

A beautifully crafted Zoo management masterpiece. Yet another magnificent game by Frontier to perfectly compliment Planet Coaster. Highly recommended for those who like to be creative and enjoy the management aspects of sim games.

This isn't even a game. It's an environment to walk around in, and a gallery to spectate others doing the same thing. What was Bethesda thinking!

What an unfortunate mess this game is. There is literally nothing but an empty world with repetitive enemies in it. Be bored alone, or play bored together with a friend. Not quite sure exactly where the enjoyment is meant to come from. It's not on steam because the developers/publishers didn't want the convenience of refunding to be available to consumers. If this is the future of games, I don't want it.

Red Dead Redemption 2 seems to be the sequel I'd hoped for to the original game. It's not going to be everyone's cup of tea, but if you come into the game as a fan of the original then you can expect to be quite satisfied with the game after the long and dull initial introduction prologue. The world and the variety of activities you can do is vast and beautifully executed, and the storyline quests are interesting and satisfying. Unfortunately the game does require you to complete activities as the gang and working with NPC's can be a chore, this is where the original game is marginally superior in that it was a solo adventure. The framerate also suffers a hitch here and there but does not detract from the overall experience. The characters in the game are memorable and there are some nice links to the original game in this one (being a prequel) for example you can visit the original Blackwater, Armadillo and Thieves Landing which is quite nostalgic and well remastered. If you enjoy exploration and collectables there are many interesting hidden items and a complete compendium of animals, fauna, weapons, gangs etc. to reveal and study. It is easy to be carried away simply looking for some of these items to discover what perks (if any) they unlock. The controls are complicated to get to grips with, and can lead to some frustrating deaths in the heat of a shootout. Some of the games mechanics can also seem complex, such as the inventory management which is not terribly well explained. Overall this game is a gorgeous and worthy successor to the original game, and will provide many hours of your life lost to simple distractions and side missions. Great job yet again Rockstar.

Refunded this broken pay to win piece of garbage. Buyer beware, if you want to be successful you gotta grind and pay. They should be paying us to play their game because it just feels like work.

Pay to win garbage. EA bluffing about 'changes' to the currence. They are deceptively trying to damage control whilst planning to bring microtransactions back after they've sold copies of the game.

A seriously enjoyable casual game that is well thought out and has some truly groundbreaking visuals. I thought I'd like it but I didn't realise I'd end up falling in love with the game.

Fantastic GT game. All the bells and whistles while sticking to the franchise roots. It would be great to see this version ported to the PS4 in HD as GT Sport appears to have lost its way.

This isn't a Gran Turismo game. This is poorly imitating iRacing, a genre that no console simcade racing game needs to venture into. I can hear the crickets sounding for the people playing without a PSN subscription. The graphics aren't even next generation, the circuits are lifeless and sparse on detail and the replays are terrible and only demonstrate a 10 year old physics engine. Get with the program!

MS Store and Win 10 makes this game inaccessible to many (and more as a sales pitch for MS), then after making the effort to jump through the hoops and pay an exorbitant amount for the game, it runs poorly, crashes frequently, and has pay to earn game mechanics. Was looking forward to the game and unfortunately it is a massive flop. Thumbs down and buyer beware.

Unfortunate for the franchise to see some of the directions the devs have chosen to take. Once again you've got day one DLC exclusive to people who shell out more cash upfront, early access before the critic review embargo. Loot crates and more fantasy tracks but nothing for the hardcore racing enthusiasts. If you own Forza 6 there is no reason to get this except for the resolution (4K).

Sadly most everything that was good about Dirt Rally has been lost here on just another simcade rally title. The presentation and structure is abhorrent and has no connection to any form of realistic rally events. It is a shame to see so many misleading and narrow minded critic reviews on this title which will no doubt lead to its sales success. Buyer beware.

It's a return to form for Formula 1 games. Finally Codemasters got it right after 6 editions of fans repeatedly asking for certain features and mechanics in the series. This game offers an enjoyable challenge to racing game enthusiasts and hardcore sim fans alike. It does an admirable job of reproducing the atmosphere of the real Formula 1, and is actually fun and rewarding to play seriously. I found that with the career mode AI difficulty set to Expert and my control scheme set to Elite, the game was a good challenge without being infuriating and without dominating each race This game is well worth a look for those F1 fans who've been burnt by previous versions.

iRacing is the pinnacle of racing simulations, it is a premium subscription based service that has been thoughtfully structured around a license and ranking system that encourages you to learn about intelligent racecraft, strategy and car setups. If you're serious about competitive online racing with an astonishing level of detail in the laser scanned circuits, cars and physics then this is the ultimate experience, there is nothing else that comes close in this genre. This is not a game, it is not forgiving and it is not particularly newcomer friendly. The sim requires patience and practice to reward you with good results, so be prepared to put in the time to get the most out of your subscription.

Splatoon is a unique take on team based battle games. The game is well made, and the control scheme is intuitive and easy to learn for all ages. I'll be honest that I did buy this game primarily thinking that I could play local multiplayer with my daughter, but unfortunately I was expecting something this game is not. However we have still had a lot of fun taking in turns online. Overall I enjoy this game but not quite as much as I hoped.

I bought The Phantom Pain expecting a rich and engaging single player experience with a cohesive and cinematic level of storytelling. Instead MGS V feels like a disjointed and lost effort at some sort of open world RPG. The two environments are forgettable like the developers bought a whole bunch of prefabricated objects and terrain elements from the Unity engine store and tried to build a game around it. The 'missions' feel completely repetitive, especially because each one starts with the opening credits again like the game is reminding you that the last mission seemed to have nothing to do with the next mission. It's a grind to get anywhere rewarding in the game and I gave up on it pretty quickly.

I recently rediscovered the Skate franchise with Skate 3 after finishing the original game many years ago. Skate 3 is a fantastic sandbox skating game with great and rewardingly laid out challenges in the single player campaign, it takes everything that made the original game so fantastic and builds upon it tenfold. Skate 3 is a game you can play for 10 minutes or 3 hours and have a blast every time.
