Outlast 22
Jun 14, 2026
I went into Outlast 2 with pretty high expectations, since I loved the trailer. It promised a darker, more disturbing, more ambitious horror game. What I got instead was a confused mess that relies on gore and jumpscares like a crutch, while everything else collapses around it. PROS: - Gorgeous visuals and strong sound design. - The environments look detailed, beautiful, and the audio cues are solid. - Jump scares can actually surprise you… occasionally, though mostly they just make you flinch like a startled toddler. - The monster designs were amazing, creative and shocking. CONS: - Story & Logic: The biggest flaw of the game. Outlast 2 is a disjointed, illogical mess. Religious cults, hallucinations, and flashbacks (which feel more like filler to extend playtime than actually adding anything) are all thrown together without cohesion. Not to mention the ending, which left me with more questions rather than answers, disappointing to say the least. - Collectibles: Instead of rewarding curiosity, the notes are a Stephen King novel dumped on your lap. They don’t enhance gameplay or understanding. For example Resident Evil 2 Remake, (just to mention one) where reading files actually provides context, hints, and worldbuilding that matters. Outlast 2? Pure filler that interrupts immersion. - Gameplay & AI: Level design is chaotic and frustrating. Dead ends, confusing layouts, and arbitrary restrictions. Enemies are omniscient where in most cases I got caught because they apparently have a sixth sense. That’s cheap, not tense and made the game a whole lot more frustrating and annoying. - Atmosphere: Shock replaces suspense. The game screams “horror” in your face rather than letting fear build. Outlast 1 created tension through uncertainty; Outlast 2 just yells at you. - Character & Immersion: The protagonist has less survival instinct than a plastic toy soldier. You never feel like you’re in control, just giving suggestions to the character what to do. FINAL VERDICT: Outlast 2 is visually impressive but hollow. It mistakes shock for fear, confusion for depth, and frustration for difficulty. I expected a terrifying, clever survival horror; instead, I got annoyed and frustrated. The first Outlast knew what it was doing, but Outlast 2 doesn’t, and that’s the real horror. You are better watching a walkthrough rather than playing the game yourself.

Road 96: Mile 08
Jun 14, 2026
I honestly don't understand the "Mixed" reviews for this game.
If you expect Road 96: Mile 0 to be an exact copy of its predecessor, you're wrong, but that doesn't mean it's bad. The gameplay shifts a bit toward rhythm-based minigames this time around. While it felt a bit weird at first, it's really not a dealbreaker unless you're obsessing over getting an S+ on every track (which, honestly, isn't even that difficult anyway).
At its core, the game does a beautiful job unfolding the narrative. Just like the first game, the soundtrack is absolutely BEAUTIFUL and carries the atmosphere perfectly. Even though you don't get the same variety of abilities or random character encounters this time, the story is incredibly well-done and gives you some amazing, necessary depth into Zoe's **** you loved "Far From Home" or "The Road" you will abolutely love "Alone In The Dark" for sure!Do yourself a huge favor and support the devs and buy this game!

Dispatch10

Dispatch is truly a masterpiece. As a work of art, after finishing the game and seeing the credits roll, it honestly felt exactly like I had just finished watching an incredible movie at the cinema. AdHoc Studio developed a phenomenal experience, and I can't emphasize enough how good it actually is. THE VOICE CAST & AUDIO The cast was truly one of a kind. Honestly, I didn't even realize that Jacksepticeye voiced Punch Up or that Yung Gravy was the voice for Golem! Aaron Paul also did a fantastic job playing Robert. Alongside the top-tier acting, the soundtrack was so good that I started getting into Bershy way more than I expected, and when I first heard "Seasons" by BADBADNOTGOOD, I was actually shocked! THE COMEDY & PACING The game is truly hilarious, there was not one time I didn't burst out laughing from the jokes or the chaotic events happening throughout the story. Every single character got the perfect amount of screen time. REPLAYABILITY While everything was top-notch, part of me definitely wishes I could experience even more episodes. I also wish there were a few more scenes involving Robert and your choice of romantic partner. However, the different choice paths make it well worth another replay. FINAL VERDICT I highly recommend this to anybody who is currently skeptical about buying it. Do yourself a massive favor and pick this game up, because it is worth every single penny.
