Crypt of the NecroDancer8

An amazing port of a really good roguelike. It was a risky bet to think mixing the roguelike and the rythm genres could end up well, but it actually does, with a really good choice of musics.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt8
Feb 12, 2016
Witcher 3 is very well written, and pays attention to the details it has to leave in such a medieval world. Every town has a personality, and seems lively - even the way most quests are given is realistic, and that's a huge step forward in making you enter its world. However, small inconveniences may appear when trying to control Geralt or its horse; the controller is far from being really precise and it happens to be very annoying at times. The battle system also requires you to unlearn how it worked in some other games similar for its combat, which is another annoyance.

Fallout 44

This game might be promising on the content offered, but it suffers too much of its developer difficulties to have a stable game. Between out-dated shot accuracy with a controller, random crashes, and technical limitations, the feel of the game vanishes way too early. Still, to someone liking post-apocalyptic scenes it is still a game with quite a lot of content to offer; but it's not for everyone. Be careful when buying this game.

Xenoblade Chronicles5

The 3DS port of this game suffers from both the UX problems that the Wii version already had (difficult to browse menus, for example), with the added malus that the developers did not take enough advantage of the touch screen to make it more readable. It's a mess to get the right angle for the camera in combat, these combat are clunky with forced mechanics on you (especially against the Mechon). These things really hinder the experience.

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth8
Dec 11, 2015
Binding of Isaac: Rebirth offers a lot of randomised levels, which ends up in a lot of different experiences during pays, which is refreshing. Its port to WiiU is functional; you might play only on the GamePad; but if you choose to play with a Pro controller, it just plays as a PC version of the game.

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth6

If you're a fan of The Binding of Isaac : Rebirth, you might appreciate the 3DS version of it, especially if you don't own a Vita. It provide a great enough experience of the game on the move. However, even with Nicalis fixes, the game isn't completely fluid and this version of the game is less interesting than for other platforms.

Picross e66
Dec 11, 2015
Featuring more than 150 Picross puzzles of different sizes, and three different game modes, this game is well made, making playing those puzzle painless. Music choice is also nice. But it's not for everyone; fans of Picross or similar reflexion game will find their fun. However, people who're not crazy about that may regret their purchase, as it offer nothing else than bare Picross.

It's a crane game simulation. You might win elements for decorating your 3DS home screen playing this, but on the other side, it's asking you to pay similar prices to the real crane games : 1€/1$ for 5 plays, which is launching the crane 5 times. Sure it has some training spot, but at best you will have one play everyday. At best. It is a real cash-grab.

Pokemon Picross2
Dec 11, 2015
While this game has an interesting aspect of mixing Picross with Pokémon collection and strategy, it's buisness model is far from acceptable. While Picross games are usually having more than 150 levels for only 5€/5$, paying twice this price will not give you anything the full game with Pokémon Picross. It's a free-to-start, but without paying you will not go far, except if you have exceptional patience and are ready to wait for several months.

Xenoblade Chronicles X7

Please note that if you're a fan of both exploration games and RPG, this score is increased to 9 out of 10. If you fall only in one of these categories, the score is increased to 8 out of 10. While the characters, universe, and world are built in a manner that keeps us immersed and describe a plausible manner that humanity may live in such difficult times (which Earth being destroyed), and the story being great with some interesting twists, It should be noted that this game falls in several UX aspects. The game throws way too much information to the player, giving only the digital game guide as the only readable way to get the information on the different mechanics. It's also difficult to understand why on a console that's perfectly capable of that, the game doesn't use the GamePad to give a way for the player to note information about zones, item availables, monsters. It's especially sad, knowing the number of gathering quests you will have to do. All taken, it's giving us a RPG that is taking risks by not getting to far of the current humanity, and giving us the information on the world in a really slow pace. On the other side, there are too much UX mistakes, and some player may find themselve too lost to enjoy anything in this game. But for people who like exploring, great views, and RPG ? It's exceptional.
