One of the worst ports by a company people had faith in. Across the board, less impressive than the nodding community made of the original and pretty disgusting to release in this state. Literally unplayable in places also and several hard crashes. Vote with your wallet and don't support this method of fix it later game development as it will only get worse.

A game that hasn't learned anything from the past 20 years of game development apart from money making tactics. All the below are dated or missing: Physics AI Destruction Effects Interface Sound design In game ways to unlock everything with real money Half hearted survival mechanics, most of which just delay actual gameplay Padding like long journeys from quest givers to location Lazy open world No real gameplay loop Tactics don't matter Stealth doesn't matter Horrible hub section that feels like a mobile game Lack of breaching, grappling hooks, planning or anything that would make this seem like an environment you want to conquer

Unfinished, bug ridden, un-polished, dated which has been built around a free to play model and not enticing game loops. Open world is uninteresting and cheap. Everything seems like a cost saving tactic: the lack of character lines so they don't make sense, dire physics, and even a step back from Wildlands which had it's faults. Endless padding...Missions constantly send you 10k away. Pointless levelling system - as they made money from Assassins Creed Origins boosters. Level 30 Beanie's for F&^&s sake!? Made without any passion whatsoever, just another infinished product to ship. And it's upsetting, because a great game could be built within this framework. But Ubisoft are becoming a joke. Cancelled Uplay + because of this. I'm done.

What I like: Incredible atmosphere Dynamic weather including actually snow fall that covers land Beautiful sound design - Wear headphones Slow paced action and stealth Major Issues fixed with patch 1.05 two days after release Massive game world and not scattered in pointless content The bike that takes a few hours to master but then makes sense Most writing is solid Solid voice acting What I don’t like: Random encounter voice acting, so out of place and bad. Some poor writing Combat poor in opening few hours causing frustration rather than tension Few missions with backup or a companion

Last light is my favourite game of this generation, a testament to it being the fact its a remake. I felt this would be overly ambitious for the studio and I was correct . The opening is clunky and weak but are there to draw you from the old games....then this gives way to atmospheric and immersive open levels, but when you feel you are adapting to this the last level really ruins the flow and quality of the game. I felt it would be a better game without the last couple of hours that seemed like padding without any of the open feel of the mid game. Maybe they run out of money or ideas, but it really needed an open sandbox for this section. Positives - Graphics, Weather and day/night cycle, Atmosphere, Sound design, dolby atmos support, mid section of game, Crafting.... Negatives - AI, New creatures, last level, reduction of weird and scary moments, poor and cluttered mix of audio remains, new monsters in last quarter, poor loading time initially, some controller lag on xbox one x, crushed gamma on xbox. HOLD X TO DO STUFF.

XBOX ONE X REVIEW. A solid, fun an playable game. And over price for under half of the content of a full game. I appreciate a game feeling quite polished and releasing but the price to pay is only two campaigns. I can’t imagine people are going to play games like this for long before moving on with this lack of content. AI is terrrible but expected these days with coop focused gaming. Graphics are ok, but not using the full potential of the X as quite blurry and undefined with poor contrast and lighting. I don’t think games should be out of early access until content is delivered. Sound needs a lot of work, a shotgun sounds like a silenced pistol. Need to have option to use normal menu controls (Seems like a trend since destiny to have ‘mouse’ control for a controller and this is dire) The game is fun, but like left 4 dead 2 compared to l4d1 it seems the ai director has taken a back seat for encounters and the specials come in too often rendering less than special.
