EA Sports continues to make crap sports games. They pay big bucks for the licensing, then roll out half-assed games. EA Sports needs to pass the torch to another game developer. But as long as they have the official licensing, it's not going to happen. So we're stuck with these half-assed EA Sports games: 1. EA Sports makes you watch their stupid 'EA Sports, It's in the Game!' garbage every time when starting the game, then it pauses. You have to press a button to continue. WTF? Of course I want to start the game, that's why I started it in the first place! I don't need some screen to ask me to continue loading. 2. Goofy/stupid 'booth reviews'. It's not interesting in the least. 99% of the time the call on the field stands. 3. Pass interference is rarely called. Receivers get tackled and a PI isn't called. 4. You can't set the tempo of the game. Winning by 3 points or 100 points, you're stuck waiting for the play clock to drain. You literally can't accelerate the play clock to close out a quarter. 5. Advertisements in the game. This is a horrible trend that EA Sports embraces. You just want to play the f*ing game, so you press X to get to the game. But they insert advertisements where X is the button to 'Learn More'. Already paid $70, don't give me pop-up ads to buy more crap. 5. The road to glory mode is annoying at best. After you grind your way through forced games on the bench, once you're a starter at QB, you're forced to use one play. No matter how terrible that play is, you can't audible at the line of scrimmage to adjust for the defense! I'm a fool for buying another EA Sports game. Never trust the 'critics' who got the game for free to review and praise it. I want my money back.

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. This series keeps devolving; it gets worse every year and I've had enough. I took the rare step of contacting Sony/PSN and demanding a refund (which after a while they granted). The NFL/NHL needs to break their contract with EA sports; EA Sports is absolute garbage now.

Some improvements in-game, but the 'off-field' experience still ****. EA needs a new team (or the NFL needs to license with another developer).

The PS5 version is awful! RE1 was great on the PS4 (intuitive interface geared towards a console, solid framerate). RE2 has noticeably laggie framerate (with relatively bad graphics). Also the interface is clearly geared towards PC. Also, they disabled the 'Easy' Rail Network mode in RE2. It feels like a beta port that they'll never improve.

The 'Road to the Show' (solo career) is the worst I've ever played. Literally spent 70 hrs playing every game, get to the post-season and have .750 AVG and come the league championship game, get a notice "You've been removed from the playoff roster". No injuries, just a ridiculous glitch. These games focus more and more on selling you in-game 'loot'..already paid $60 for the game and want to keep charging more to enjoy the game. Done with this series. Sports games are going to hell with greed in selling loot. IDK what they do with the money, but they certainly don't use it to improve the game.

Not remotely close to being on par with EA Sports (FIFA/Madden/NHL). The 'Road to the Show' mode is not enjoyable in the least. Very, very repetitive with no backing story (or any voice overs). The UI/UX is quite bad as well. Have played for 12+ hours, and the flame of amusement has just burnt out. Seems pretty low-budget relative to it's sport counterparts. Will now buy again a game in this series again.

Probably the last game I'll purchase from EA Sports. It's like a web of advertisements to give them more money that it ruins the game. I like to play games to escape being hounded by money at every turn. Already paid ~$80 for the pre-release, and wish i could have it back. This business model is bad for games, and won't support it. On a happy note, it's fun to play against my friends.
