To the Moon9
Jan 28, 2014
This isn't so much a game as it is an interactive book or movie. But boy is it an experience. I'm one of those people who never cries due to a movie or anything, but To The Moon brought me very, very close. If there's one cheap PC game you get, it should hands-down be this.

Renaissance Heroes7
Jun 6, 2013
This is free, and it ain't TF2. Don't go into this expecting a highly varied and sophisticated shooter. In-game currency, purchases, etc. can get annoying. But in the end, I still enjoy it. Rather than shoving it into a stereotypical steampunk setting, the game adds a new layer of the Renaissance era. On the surface, this may sound nonsensical, as steampunk is based off of the much later Victorian era. But somehow it works, and I loved the overall feel of the setting. Graphics look pretty good and run on my crappy PC. And, most importantly IMHO for a free FPS, it turns it fun, which is what really matters

Ace of Spades: Battle Builder7
Apr 22, 2013
Looking at the reviews, I think the main reason people hate this game is because its not as good as the original. People, look at the game by itself! Its still pretty good! Graphic style is great, and overall gameplay is fun, chaotic combat. A couple of flaws are present, mainly the super-annoying spawncamping and the obvious lack of an ability to create your own map and server, which the game concept practically lends itself to. But still, its a lot of fun. If you want a sophisticated, well-polished FPS, I would suggest Red Orchestra. But if you just want to have fun, Ace of Spades is a pretty good bet.

Minecraft10

Honestly, Minecraft is the best game I have ever played. There's something in it for everyone. Yeah, singleplayer vanilla may get boring after a while, but there's a practically endless assortment of awesome mods to choose from. And multiplayer, in my opinion, is really the great part of this game. For me, if I can find myself a relatively small server with a good community, I'm in heaven. Although many would disagree with me, I think the graphics work perfectly for the game, and even if you're unhappy with them there are plenty of great texture packs (one I would recommend is John Smith). The price point may look a little high, but when you compare it to a generic FPS that may be 20 dollars more with a 6 hour campaign and unimaginative gameplay, its a steal.

Starvoid6
Apr 14, 2013
Honestly, there's nothing BAD about starvoid. But there's nothing that good. Games too often never pan out, and the gameplay never really intrigued me that much. I can see where some people might like it a lot, but it just doesn't offer as much as an RTS should, and it wasn't really for me.

Thomas Was Alone9
Apr 14, 2013
Thomas was alone is a beautiful game. Narration is the best I've seen in any game since Bastion, and Bithell manages to make the quadrilaterals have more character and individuality than your average human video game hero. The atmosphere is great, and the music is interesting and compelling but never becomes distracting. Although the graphical concept is simple, great lighting and appropriate colors help to pull it off, and the game looks fantastic. Later levels can, at times, become frustrating and tedious, but this is true of almost any puzzle game. Overall, this is a fantastic title that definitely deserves a play

DreamWorks Puss in Boots3
Apr 11, 2013
I'll admit, I didn't get this game expecting Bioshock Infinite or something. Honestly, I expected nothing more than mediocrity. However, even with low expectations, it disappointed. Nothing about this game brings interest or fun; instead, it is extremely repetitive and unoriginal. I tried to like it, I really did, but I couldn't.

Disney Epic Mickey9
Apr 10, 2013
Epic Mickey is, in my opinion, an amazing experience. Yes, the camera ****, but once you get used to it it just becomes a part of the game- an integral part of combat is constantly moving the camera, but it becomes very natural. Disney took a daring step with this game, and they didn't 100% make it, but I say they did a pretty good job. Another thing- for the wii, the graphics are killer. Although some environments can be annoyingly dark, overall the level design looks great. And the enemies you fight- literally I have no idea how Junction Point managed to force the Wii to handle it. Naturally, because of this there may be a couple of instances of lag, but its nothing serious. It bogs a little at one point with fetch quests on Mean Street, but toward the end of the game I could not stop playing. My verdict? It's cheap. Pick it up. (PS- Replay value is tremendous)
