Very short (slightly more than 1h), but enjoyable, the game is definitely too easy on most puzzles.

I first created a Steam account for this game, but the last time I played it, they had changed their gamemodes and progression in a way that made it no longer fun.

Without a doubt the best Far Cry game so far and in my opinion up there among the best games ever. Compared to later installments, enemy bases, weapons and quests are designed in a more fun way.

Leveling system/Legendary enemy system/Ammo & Power armor balance/Dialogue/Settlement system are all underwhelming. Story/Quests/Map are fine, graphics are good, equipment modification is cool aside from it being bound almost entirely to perks.

1.0 needs some polishing, the story mode stress system is microing that adds nothing to the gameplay, and it penalizes you for retrying a mission or simple quiting the game. I find the difficulty can be very luck-based, with occasional team AI mishaps and other buggy stuff, and random to arbitrary enemy behaviour.

Loses features that its predecessor had, but is still generally enjoyable. I think the unforgiving scoring and graphical style are more interesting than the later HITMAN games.

Enjoyable, but too easy and simple, with its only difficulty being death and inheritance. Unless you go are particularly unfortunate with RNG or are just beginning, you're rarely challenged in both the RPG and mapgame aspects. Its DLC add new features, but these only seem to serve to make the game easier, being poorly balanced.

Requires some of its DLC to play normally and is carried by its mods. (Btw, the game and DLC constantly go on sale so don't buy on their ridiculous default price). I'd say it's the best strategy game of its kind, I think it has the right amount of micromanagement if you ignore DLC, and the devs put quite a lot of work in keeping it somewhat balanced, it very much relies on its content across nations, whereas other Paradox games rely more on their mechanics, this makes Hearts of Iron IV DLC very important, especially for replayability.

I do agree this DLC has basically no plot, unlike the other DLC it lacks an interesting goal to look forward to established early in the DLC, but in my opinion it's enjoyable nonetheless, since you're constrained to a fairly linear map, I think the battles are some of the most enjoyable in the Fallout series, as NPCs are well placed, things are scripted it a nice way and you can pick a squad to bring along.

Underrated game, you do need to read stuff on the wiki and check build guides, possibly read some pages to get through the hardest puzzles, which is the only thing which keeps me from giving it a 10, it isn't just that things are harder, you can completely miss out on epic quests without things that'd rarely discover yourself. The game can be difficult and can require savescumming if you don't minmax, but if you're patient enough to endure that, I think it is very enjoyable. There is a nice progression of being forced to use a simple rudimentary weapon to kill some critters, to slowly getting more advanced weapons and crafting as you rise to fighting well-equipped soldiers, large monsters and interesting bosses in increasingly hostile environments. Both the interface and graphics are in my opinion perfectly adequate for this type of game, and it generally feels more accessible than old games such as Fallout 1/2 which I couldn't get into.
