Awful queue issues on release, and are still issues as I type. 2002 Error making it nearly impossible to login due to the game without any warning kicking you out from the queue, the queue is meant to keep your place, but it doesn't even if you try to log straight back in. Square Enix blaming it due to lack of server hardware available for purchase due to chip supply issues, however this has little to do with the login servers, I do not mind waiting for hours in a queue to login but I do mind if the queue randomly removes me and makes me wait again. On the first weekend of release I tried to login for 8 hours without being able to get in. If you play early AM you can login and experience the game, unfortunately that is not possible for everyone. A bit disappointed with my main class being changed (summoner) and it doesn't flow very well and end up with 10s+ periods of using a filler spell while waiting for cooldowns.. lost the vast majority of my skills and had much less to replace it with. I will update this review as Endwalker progresses and look forward to Square Enix improving the servers or at least the queueing system.

MSQ very same-y, more voice acting and interesting cut scenes than previous expansions, still far too many unvoiced poorly animated cut scenes though. Some nice introductions, like the trust system which makes the MSQ dungeons much more engaging, lots of solo trials also as part of the MSQ... Overall the MSQ is still below par unfortunately but it's an improvement. Raids offer an acceptable level of difficult which makes them accessible to the vast amount of players, but could do with a more difficult version of savages/ultimates to extend the amount of content in the game for PvM players.

Story was mediocre, too little voice acting to be immersive, lots of very "same-y" quests... walk to a place, talk to a person, walk back... occasionally kill a mob. Thankfully there was some excellent raids and dungeons which kept my interest and were thoroughly enjoyable. Unfortunately the savage raids are short and contain only a handful of bosses each time, so you run out of challenging content quickly. Ultimate's are ok, quite challenging but again so short.

Good remake of a terrible game. I would have rated it much, much higher(around a 8!) but I had to endure the 200Quest grind(post ARR) which is at level 50 and at the end of the expansion. Which has since been reduced but still the same issues remain, Post ARR story has poor immersion due to lack of voice acting, it's far too long, it's a lot of walking around with no real character progression and it's forced on all users that will not pay for a story skip. Post ARR content was some of the worst I've experienced in an MMO, but it get's better with later expansions so stick with it!

In my opinion this is the best expansion. Good class balance, excellent raids, beautiful locations. Much better story than ARR. The main critic I have is that there just isn't enough content compared to other MMOs on the market. Still lots to be desired on making the story more "alive" though, the lack of voice acting in the vast majority of the Main Story Quests breaks immersion.

Awful game, bad story, bad gameplay, bad UI, no redeeming factor. Much more playable with the ARR remake.
