[No Spoilers.] Good start to the series... The "teen angst" between the two male leads has the familiar over-the-top feel as was present in the Twilight films, which shouldn't come as a surprise since this is the same director. The crime-drama portion of the story is off to a more intriguing start than the romance part of the story. The small town setting, rustic characters, and powerful female lead character in the form of the town Sheriff reminds me of an old Stephen King story. (I keep looking around for Kathy Bates.) if the romantic plot line can advance in an authentic way while the crime mystery plot also advances, this show might really have something interesting going. The pilot episode definitely left me wanting more, and anticipating the next installment.
