Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection0
Mar 18, 2024
A bug riddled experience that at worst doesn't work at all with it's multiplayer modes, and at best offers a laggy experience with networking issues, rubberbanding, poor hitboxes, and balancing issues that renders Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection to be nearly unplayable and unenjoyable. Aspyr's job as a developer here was so easy in theory to release 2 beloved games for modern audiences, and they failed at even the most simple tasks here. A shameless cash grab at people's nostalgia. Would not recommend to even the most hardcore Star Wars fan. This collection is a soulless and greedy attempt at opening your wallet. 0 out of 10.

Silent Hill: Ascension0
Nov 5, 2023
An insulting experience that mocks the fans. It's a predatory narrative based game that aims to extract as much profit as possible from it's users. Ascension suffers from a very poor story, stiff animations, ChatGPT-like writing with robotic characters and bad performances throughout. This game is borderline unplayable and often breaks from technical glitches. On top of all this, their CEO Jacob Navok (Genvid) argued with users (including me) on Twitter for hours about why the microtransactions weren't bad. It was a jargoned mess of excuses blaming everything from Amazon AWS to even the fans for the game's poor direction. The public chat box on the game immediately descended into very inappropriate adult language and repeated use of the hard 'R' which went completely uncensored.

Baldur's Gate 310
Aug 7, 2023
Baldurs Gate 3 is a triumph of gaming and return to form for CRPG fans who have patiently waited for the 'next big thing'. This game feels fresh, expansive, and gives players the choice to play the game in a remarkable number of ways. One of those 'special' and rare once in a decade games that sets the bar for other game developers to strive for. The bar has been set with BG3 and I don't think it will dethroned for the foreseeable future. Run, don't walk to pick this one up. BG3 has rolled a perfect 20 on the die with this release. Brilliant and genius, almost puts other triple A developers to shame. BG3 has NO MICROTRANSACTIONS, no DRM (no Denuvo), and has released in a largely bug free state. Game is very consumer friendly and respectful.

Redfall0
May 4, 2023
This game is filled with bugs, very poor enemy AI, and is overall released in a state that is clearly unfinished. To charge full price for this game is a slap in the face to Xbox fans and is a betrayal from people like Phil Spencer over at Microsoft. Fans deserve better. This is a broken product and one that I think you could make an argument for getting a class action lawsuit started over to refund customers. For that reason I give this game a zero out of 10.

Pokemon Scarlet1
Nov 19, 2022
Pokemon Scarlet is an unoptimized and half baked game that clearly needed more time in development. I can't help but feel that Nintendo/Gamefreak rushed this game out pre-maturely to slot it in with the holiday sales window for 2022 when it clearly needed to be delayed. The game targets 30 FPS but often fails to achieve that with frequent glitches and dips into the single digit frame rates. I attempted to catch a Psyduck only for pokeballs to glitch through the ground and the camera angles to show a 'black' zone outside the bounds of the map. Nintendo slowly chips away at the 'Nintendo seal of quality' with each modern mainline Pokemon game released these last 5 years. Nintendo has shown their hand and they are more than willing to sacrifice on quality to make a quick buck at player's expense. Cannot recommend this game in good faith unless it recieves considerable patches to improve performance. I criticize the game so harshly because i care deeply about this franchise and want to see it improve into the game fan's truly deserve.

Gran Turismo 70
Mar 19, 2022
I feel that this game intentionally misled consumers by stripping the game of most microtransactions and nerfed rewards for in-game play until AFTER the reviews were out from major outlets like IGN and GameSpot. Once they obtained favorable reviews, they cranked down the in-game rewards to crank up the feeling that you need to spend on microtransactions. On top of all this game game (Even the single player) required an always online internet connection despite 80% of the game taking place offline. Overall this is a step downwards for the gaming industry as a whole.

Chocobo GP10
Mar 16, 2022
Chocobo GP is a great idea on paper but in reality is a kart racing game for switch that nickle and dimes players for every cent in their wallet. Horrible monetization brings an otherwise decent racing game down to a 0 out of 10. There's simply no way to justify the microtransaction shop in this full priced Switch game. Square Enix has been on a spree of bad releases lately and this is another casualty.

Call of Duty: Vanguard2
Nov 7, 2021
The campaign and multiplayer modes are decent, but the Zombies mode developed by Treyarch is in a HORRIBLE state with barebones gameplay, no launch day easter eggs, very little in terms of content to grind for. Extremely disappointing with the zombies mode, the other 2 game modes are passable but still not excellent. An overall forgettable experience that blends into past CoD titles.

Madden NFL 210
Sep 11, 2020
Madden 2021 is the latest low effort cash grab from EA games with minimal changes and rampant bugs throughout ruining what should be an enjoyable NFL football game. This game in it's current state should not be purchased unless significant changes and improvements are brought to it at a later date by the developers. My character glitched and fell through the field before my entire system crashed and needed to be restarted. This is simply unacceptable for any major game release.

The Culling 20
May 15, 2020
This game features a predatory and quite honestly laughable monetization model that requires players to pay real life currency for each match that they play. On top of the horrible greedy monetization, the developers have created a half fleshed out sequel to a game they widely abandoned with the original Culling game. This sequel is a direct smack in the face to any fans they may have had left. Truly an embarrassment and monument to greed. Avoid this game at all costs, because there will be MANY costs. One per match to be exact.

Warcraft III: Reforged0
Jan 30, 2020
Blizzard took a successful and iconic game like Warcraft III and completely ruined what made the game so great. In releasing the remaster they have also discontinued the original game in its original graphics and gameplay for those who were still enjoying it. The Blizzcon trailers lied to the fans about what was to come. There may be legal ramifications for the blatant false advertising and broken promises made to players who preordered the game under false pretenses. Overall this is an abomination of a rerelease from a multimillion dollar company like Blizzard/Activision. Inexcusable. 0 out of 10.

Star Wars Battlefront II0
Nov 17, 2017
Star Wars Battlefront II is an insulting attempt at creating a massive online FPS game in the iconic world of Lucusfilm's (Disney) Star Wars. The game has breathtaking visuals despite a few occasional hiccups and glitches. This game offers a short single player campaign (the first in the series) as well as large scale multiplayer online battles but it ultimately falls short in part due to an insultingly manipulative progression system that relies heavily on "microtransactions" or in-game purchasable that breaks all sense of progression and introduces "pay 2 win" mechanics into what would otherwise be an "Average" game. The developer's response has been equally insulting and overall Battlefront II comes across as a "Slap in the face" to it's loyal fan base. In all I give Star Wars Battlefront II a "0 out of 10" for manipulating it's users and tarnishing the once legendary "Star Wars" brand owned by Disney.
