I didn't hate this game, but after I homebrewed my Wii, I ended up trying it and I honestly didn't have the worst time with it, but it was nowhere near close to the best either. The story wasn't actually horrible. It was there and kind of confusing at times, but it's not the worst story to any video game I've ever played. The gameplay is honestly the worst part of the whole game. It does a great job of setting the terrifying atmosphere and as Nintendo Power said, "It deserves credit for delivering some of the most genuinely scary gaming moments ever". But, that's all it really provides. There's a few good jumpscares, an okay story, but a very sloppy and repetitive gameplay loop of the player walking very, VERY slowly while trying to find batteries (which are only easy to locate if you have a guide) and collect clues as, if you don't, you will ultimately have to replay the level if you want to 100%/legitimately complete the game. This game is legitimately scary, I'll say that and I was actually scared several times throughout my time with it, but I would never replay this game unless it's with a friend or I'm doing it as a backlog thing.

I wanted to say I liked this game, what with all the hype surrounding it, but I just really didn't. This game was incredibly boring to me and the story was so lackluster and hit or miss to me. The combat felt satisfying but that was really all this game had going for it. I honestly didn't like this "revamp" of P5.

Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate

Despite this being an extremely overdue review, Mortal Kombat 11 is easily one of the most broken and unbalanced online video games ever created. The online community is annoying which is to be expected with a game like Mortal Kombat. The characters are all fairly ugly which is incredibly unsurprising. The gameplay feels like everything we've seen before but toned down to pure un-enjoyable buggy mayhem. The cast also does a fairly mediocre job at voice acting for this game, with the best job being given to Jade and her voice actress (who is coincidentally my favorite character and my main). Thankfully, this game is no longer being supported if not barely supported by NRS who hardly did a good job at fixing anything pertaining to this game when it was in its prime. Just a few skins magically made the bugs, glitches and piss-poor balancing vanish. (Hint!: It did no such thing).

Persona 3 Reload

Persona 3 Reload is a phenomenal remake of the original Persona 3. While it does not have as much content as FES or Portable and Kotone Shiomi (FeMC from Portable) is exempt from this game, the game is amazing. The combat feels smooth and satisfying, the graphics look phenomenal for a Persona title, and the characters are likable. The story is also the best of the series and manages to conclude on a proper note compared to other games such as P5R, P5T and P4G. The game length is great. While it isn't unnecessarily short, the game's length feels perfect and even better than the original, which took a ridiculously large at least 95+ hours to complete on a single playthrough without going for every single individual mission/social link/rescue/item/persona/etc. This is easily one of the best remakes/remasters of 2024 and is easily for me, the game of the year of 2024.

The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me

The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me is an amazing way to end the first season the Dark Pictures Anthology and leaves the player on their seat, wanting more. The cast is seemingly dumb at first but is very realistic to real life stereotypes like the instigator, the nervous wreck, the heartbroken, the air-headed, etc and features game play which is better than all other entries in The Dark Pictures Anthology. The branching and story is phenomenal, but compared to other entries, such as House of Ashes and Man of Medan, the story can seem to be quite lacking. The game has little bugs compared to its predecessors such as Man of Medan, Little Hope and House of Ashes (which all had some form of game-breaking glitch that was never resolved until the latter half of the PS4 and Xbox One's life). The Devil in Me is an amazing way to end season one of TDPA and easily makes me giddy when thinking about its next game "Directive 8020" which will take place in space and will have a similar concept to The Thing.

Just Dance: 2024 Edition is a great follow-up to Just Dance: 2023 Edition and its story, but is throttled by a semi-mediocre songlist, various graphic glitches, gameplay bugs and frame drops but aside from that is a solid entry in the Just Dance series.

Dead by Daylight

I've played Dead by Daylight across every single platform it has been available on with a mostly non-differentiating experience. The experience being one of the most unbalanced, unoriginal and pathetic excuses for an asymmetrical online video game. I pray for those who are dumb enough to believe the positive critic reviews since they're absolutely false in almost every regard and IGN also not being in any way shape or form correct about this game either. But, I'll sum it up and go slightly in-depth. Dead by Daylight is one of the most unstable, unplayable, glitchy and unfair video games I've ever played. The balancing between killers and survivors is non-existent with both sides being unequally horrible. Survivors get as many perks as they want that make the killer experience as miserable and boring and mundane and unenjoyable as possible. And playing as either side is miserable. You'll go up against either the survivors or killers who are both egotistical, annoying and weird and as the survivor, you'll get annoying unbalanced killers who can magically down you and kill you in the span of a few seconds and survivors who are absolutely unhelpful as team-mates. This games main objective, that being to complete generators and escape, is nearly impossible as the survivor as killers always get some kind of perks or abilities that hinder survivors to the point where the game is almost completely unplayable. The game's graphics are concerningly ugly and make games like Big Rigs look like something on the scale of Cyberpunk. Playing Killer is always repetitive, mundane and boring, no matter what you use, bring or gain. Behaviour Interactive absolutely failed with this game and their only thing to make up for their piss poor development skills is cosmetics that always cost a ridiculous amount of money. Do not buy this game. Wait for Behaviour to stop scamming people of their money and wait for this game to become free. This game is not worth $30 for the awful experience that will ABSOLUTELY never be improved. If you purchase characters on Dead by Daylight on PS4, do it from the PSN store because when you get them refunded, you won't lose ownership to the characters. Thank god, because this awful developement team does not deserve a cent when they can barely do their jobs properly.
