It's a really good game I give it like actually an 80%, but I'm bumping it to 100 to try to lift this abysmal metacritic score which by the way is entirely unjustified.

CRAZY CRAZY GOOD! I mean good enough to satisfy even the most jaded, salty fan boy. And you know how knit-picky we can get ;) Worth every penny at full price!

Alright so games like Blasphemous are why there needs to be a 1 out of 10 scale rather than this thumbs up thumbs down ****, cause if there was ever a game "in the middle" this would be it. The looks and sound amazing great art direction great sound, and for the most part it plays well-enough but.... it never really quite clicks I always found myself not feeling empowered as a player. And by that I mean I never felt like the hero that this troubled game world needed... I felt more like a some guy that is that's exploring a lot and dying a lot and thank god I have unlimited lives because by god I'm going to use them all (and not to toot my own horn but I am really good at these kinds of games so if I was dying this much new players watch out.) Now feels like a good time to address the challenge-o-meter on this one on a scale of 1 to 10, 3 it too easy, 5 is your making progress but never super challenged, and eight is frustratingly hard this game sits at a solid 8.2, if it were any (and I do mean even the tiniest bit) harder it would simply be NOT FUN. There were a few times I really felt we had crossed over from the land of video GAMES over to video WORK and that's just never cool. Lastly a few things to be advised on the map is big and creative BUT the fun is sapped out of it because (nood mistake team 17 that NEED and could so easily be fixed) there are like nowhere close to enough fast travel points so my first play through was around 15 hours and for real about 1/2 of that was spent running and slicing my way to singular upgrade locations or going back to a earlier level to get an up-grade. So the backtracking is real and tediously part of this game. But the game always looks good and plays good for the most part so said back-tracking isn't the kiss of death it could be, but still be prepared to do A LOT (and I mean A LOT) of it. In the end I'm going to give this a 7.0 out of 10 and that feels really appropriate cause there is so much about this game that scores right in that place of the edge of good game status, if there was just 1 or 2 more things that weren’t in place about this game it would ****, but it doesn’t so its… kind of ok.

The single player is legitimately one of the best FPS stories ever told and played, plus the great and still very active MP (May 2019) while lite on the community aspect is fun and challenging.

I'm going to give it a 10 because I think its a little better then a 74. In my book it would be a solid 80% B minus, good with room to grow. Its been said the fighting is dog **** the controls (Even though much improved with additional patching from the publisher) are a bit iffy at times. But with all that being said there were times when I was able to control Styx with mastery percussion and chain together like 10 stealthy kills back to back in various cool way and I found my self saying out load "This game is f*cking sweet!". So if your in to stealth games then this one is going to be a must buy for you. If your just interested and are not really a stealth fan...I would say pass (but just barley); unless you going to grab it from steam one of there big discount days.

It's been said many times over but I'll echo, the combat leaves A LOT to be desired the the story and characters save the day big time! A- Great game with just a few minor faults.

This was a really fun game, The first one was fun too. For some reason I've read over a few of the reviews on there and people seem to be really polarized on this one; you either loved it or you hated it. Me I though it was good but not great. I would give it a solid 85 strong effort with room to grow for LOS3. I'm voting a 10 because I think that a few of negative reviews were written in the heat of the moment and didn't take into account some of the really fun moments this game had to offer, so with that in mind I want to raise the overall score. One thing that really stood out for me was the story and the boss fights, both were really well done from start to finish. One thing that I didn't really like too much was by the end of the game it just felt like of hard to get around (meaning you have to do a lot of jumping and cliff climbing and steam morphing) the game word. So IMHO in LOS3 I would like to see a return to the open world but just make it a bit more....open. Also I though I would give a nod to the integration of stealth in to the Castelvania series. One of Konami's biggest franchises is metal gear (a stealth based game) and that's a lot fun to play. Now with that being said WHEN the stealth was used in the game needs work, I mean some times it felt like "I and kick theses guys asses at **** is the game making me hide from them?" So instead of forced stealth and action sections of the game (and never the two shall meet) it would be great to see a more holistic approach to stealth where its always an option open to the player and you can decide when and where to use it. Graphics and sound (and music) are excellent the concept art is fun to look over, especially the orthographic drawings of the character models. One thing that does pop up on my radar is that the modern day Castlevania City does has a certain....sameness to it and that can get boring. By contrast the Dracula's castle has a nice variety of maps and level styles to it so that's just one thing to mention. Hop on steam pick it up on sale this Christmas and play it if your a Castlevania fan, or like hack and slash games this is a good one to grab!

Master mother ****ing piece. So much is done right in this game its really hard to nail one any one thing that I love the most about it. The music, the gameplay the story every thing just shines bright as hell!

I got to tell you this is a huge step in the right direction for Konami. I mean its been a really long time since there has been a good 2D Castelvania (Harmony of Despair - 2010). This triumphant return to good ol 2D pit jumpen, whip cracken action is just what the doctor ordered. I'm giving it a 9 because Alucard should ONLY use a sword PERIOD.

This game is too hard, for me. And it's really unforgiving, if you wipe out once you start all the way over from the very start of the game on level 13 if you die you back to level one. WTF is up with that whats up with some lives for gods sake. I kind of wish I would have been able to try it before I bought it.

Not a bad game, but its never really **** me in. There is just....something missing. For me part if it is it's not really fast paced enough. Also it never really quite feels like your in danger. The sense of urgency is just missing. I can see how others would really like it.
