Maybe, back in the day, this game was something new, but that only shows that the competition must have been not in the best shape.
The controls are outof this world and story? I would rather pretend that there's no story than assume that catching monkeys is even an idea.

This game is absolute masterpiece. Story is really great, characters are very well created and combat is amazing and rewarding. Every daemon is different and if you will change it you will feel like playing other, but also amazing, game.

I've finished it yesterday, so all the patches that I know of were in place and I need to tell that this game was great. It was scary and creepy, every little step was terrifying but also rewaring, so I've finished it in one sitting.
To be honest I had some bugs, like camera going through the middle of character or character dissapeared during holding an object, but you know what? It wasn't something that would ruin the fun, frankly, it was something that made it even more creepy :D. Strong 8.

I had great time playing it. This isn't a game which is story driven, it's just a challenge for soulslike fans and I liked that. Repeating combats with bosses wasn't annoying, for me it was kind of getting to know the boss and attack weak points, dying, trying to be better and repeating which was interesting and motivating.

This game had great potential, as its working great on Switch, however its potential was totally lost. Missions are pretty much the same and combat is absolutely boring.
Melee is totally not worth using until the end, then suddenly its a must have. Besides its clumsy.
Story is told by lengthy dialogues that are boring most of the time (but there are some great lines to be honest). This game seems like playing one mission all the time and only names of enemies are changing.

Yes, this game has some performance issues, like framerate droping. It is also slow paced, I would say very slow paced - something like Lords of the fallen was.
Despite that this game is really great, it has it's own vibe (just like Remnant had). I really loved the puzzles which are very close to my favourite Point and click games. There are few moments when it's very fairy tale-ish, and that's a virtue (at least for me).
Even if it's slow, the combat is great and intense.
Absolutely loved the aging system which give this soulslike game additional thrill:)
