Daemon X Machina

Daemon X Machina sets the bar for robot action games. The addictive mecha fighting is almost flawless, but it's complemented by so many other incredible parts to the game. There's a rich, unique world filled with incredible and memorable characters, endless and addictive customisation, gorgeous visuals and a jaw-dropping soundtrack. Daemon X Machina rarely stumbles, and even when it did, I still couldn't help but be impressed by this amazing new experience.

There’s no denying that Marvelous can make a game, but to make a mech simulator of this calibre... That I didn't expect. I was pleasantly surprised and Daemon X Machina is proof of just how well Marvelous can execute on great ideas. With the Armored Core series currently on hold, the void of its absence can finally be filled with this highly customisable and equally story-driven experience.

Daemon X Machina allows us to create our own giant robots, select between multiple weapons and engage in frantic combat with other pilots and enemy creatures... but the control scheme is complicated and missions feel too similar.

There’s much to applaud about Daemon X Machina. The third-person mech action game delivers an experience unlike any other on Nintendo Switch, thanks to the striking mech designs and red-drenched world merging with combat that can readily thrill in the game’s many large-scale encounters. However, shortcomings such as the convoluted plot and repetition let it down – holding it back from reaching the brilliance that Marvelous nearly achieved.

At its core Daemon X Machina is a solid mech action game that controls well and gives the player a generous helping of customisation options. Its mission structure can get repetitive, and its plot is so difficult to grasp it may as well be soaked in grease, but as long as you’re willing to put up with these and get through its initially bewildering array of gauges and icons you should have a good time with it.

Daemon X Machina is a frustrating game. Because, on one hand, it has everything a real robot anime lovers is looking for. But most of the time, the game is sluggish, with terrible gunfeel and repetitive missions.

All that’s cool about flying a giant world-saving robot has been executed in the most leaden, user-unfriendly, nonsensical manner possible.

This game is probably one of my favourites on switch. It is action packed mecha goodness. The story is great and the controls of the mech and person are fantastic. 10/10

Armored core-like games are disappeared from the market even if people love them, this one is a try to revive the genre but it fails because they tried to make it more casual-friendly ruining almost all aspects of it.

Vraiment surpris par ce jeu je ne suis pas un fan de Mecha et pourtant je l'ai trouvé super cool, je m'attendais à pire mais finalement ca va. Bravo à Marvelous pour ce jeu (j'ai aussi hâte d'avoir entre mes mains ce fameux No More Heroes 3

Bad story, boring and repetitive gameplay. I will never try out another mech game, if this one is claimed to be a good one. Totally wasted my money. DO NOT recommend! Worst Switch "exclusive" so far.

generally alright game, but, BUT there some weird things what could be improved upon the enemies are either weaklings or move like crazy then the bloody final boss requiring you to use a mechanic you never or rarely use on the rest of the game, and there is also what the hp and dmg of the final boss are simply stupid, forcing you to change completely how you played the whole game before that point
