It's almost perfect, if there was a conversation log it would be the best game not only this year, but one of the best of all time. It's still really fun, lots of exploration, plenty of challenge, and it's only $20

I'm not finished yet, but from my experience about 15 hours in I love this game! It's challenging, it's rewarding, and the music is awesome!!! I played the demo a week after it was announced and it was such a joy, so I was ready to play it amongst release, and it has been nothing short of a pleasure to play. Even my stream was entertained with every puzzle and turn that came along the way. I highly recommend playing this game if you enjoy RPGs at all. It's definitely a top 5 GOTY.

It's an ode to newer retro games like Shovel Knight and Super Mario. I really like the humor in the writing and appreciate the efforts in design and overall game play. This game is not reinventing the wheel, but it is very fun and for the price is easy to recommend. An action platformer influenced by sports, I like it. it's not perfect, but definitely is a good time for a solid price.

The good: The game is free and easy to get into if you've played other cart racing games. You can customize your cart with decals and wraps which is fun. Characters are cute, and there are plenty to choose from. Matchmaking takes no time at all, once you are ready there's a game waiting for you. The game runs smoothly without hiccups or crashes. There's enough racing modes to keep you busy. The bad: It's still a game as a service. The items during team races can still hurt your teammates. On that note, some items need to be balanced. There's not many maps, maybe 4 from what I've seen. 8 would have been perfect. Drifting is probably the worst par about **** it's in the name. Redeeming Prime Rewards is a nightmare. Overall: it's a good free game, if you don't have a Nintendo product and want to play a kart racer, this is worth the time.
