So I had written another review where I gave Animal Crossing: New Horizons a score of 10. On the anniversary of the game, I lower it back to 5 as the developers did NOT deliver the updates that they had promised. The game is barren, and nothing changed since last March when the game launched. For a long-term game like ACNH, this is unacceptable. Update by update, it just got more boring.

Last year I tried Crusader Kings II with all the existing DLCs. The game did not let me in. I just could not find my way in this ocean ****. It took way too long to discover the mechanics. Crusader Kings III is the perfect sequel for the newbies to the series, like me. While it definitely is a complex Crusader Kings game, it is more welcomingly so.

A hillbilly lumberjack daddy lost with his son in a cheaply designed and very "Orlandoesque" theme park. This is not a game, this is a day at the amusement park. There are carefully drawn lines indicating where to climb, where to go, what to do. They didn't even try to make it feel real, not even a bit. Boring chests, axe throwing games, always the same grumpiness and same ugly monsters. Best for the cheap audience though.

I never expected to like a grand strategy game. I always thought I'd be bored on a game that runs on maps. I was wrong. I spent way too many hours on trying to colonize Brazil as Venice and conquering Manchuria as Japan. The only criticism would be that it is too eurocentric. All mechanism is built with European dynamics in mind, so whichever state you choose to play feels more or less like a European state with minor touches. But after all the game's title is Europa Universalis and Paradox is a European developer. Who can blame them for designing a game just for their Western audiences?

You just wanna keep on and see what happened to whom in that crooked house next? Wish there were more games like this that focuses on individual moments and stories, with a narrative that is woven beautifully.

It should have been a free update instead of a full-fledged expansion pack. Offers nothing but an extremely transparent lagoon.

Yes, it still needs to be polished with update over update and of course, DLCs, but the overall idea and its mechanism are promising. It is exciting to watch how it evolves. For those who are bothered with the DLC policy, well, Paradox has been doing it this way since time immemorial. You should have taken this into consideration before buying it.

I and my boyfriend have been playing this game since it came out, first on PC in 2014 and later on PS4. It is the one and only MMORPG we're playing. Even though we are playing it intensely from time to time, we both think it deserves much less and it is overrated. It is boring. Quests are boring. World design is ugly and shallow. Everything in the game consumes your precious time. But somehow it catches you in its web, making you want to create just another character, this time a witch elf, this time a burglar khajiit. If you are not an MMORPG fan, and just love the world of TES, don't play it. An addictive waste of time.

Nioh is a fun game with each quest feeling like a beginning of a new adventure. It is hard, I died to Onryoki for a hundred times, until I figured out how to play. It is relentless but gives you so many tools to work with. Your blondie Dutch character does feel like he's getting better at things "Japan", unlike Sekiro, who just dies twice and nothing more.

Hearts of Stone adds a great new story to the game, actually a lot better than the main story with the Wild Hunt and Ciri. It is a multilayered adventure you want to get in. You just cannot skip the cut scenes as the game grabs you like a good TV series.
