The first gears game still holds up 20 years later, the cover mechanics still feel good and not janky like other games of the same era, the voice acting of this game is great, (shout-out to the Latin Spanish dub, although it isn't as good as GoW2 or GoW3, it's still great), and the dark and gritty tones and atmosphere helped the game form its own identity, all of these things laid the foundation of the franchise. The campaign is good, although the kryll sections of act 2 can get annoying at times, and act 5 is too short (even tho this is fixed in the pc version), despite all of these shortcomings, it still feels great even if the story is simple because the characters carry this game hard. A big shame that the multiplayer is almost dead

Destiny has one of the most confusing storylines in a videogame that i've played, even if 10 years later the game still holds up well (and also thanks to the expansions that came later down the line), the first story this game had is undeniably incoherent as f**k. There's a lot of good things that are present here, and Destiny has a lot of Halo DNA, alongside new mechanics and other stuff you can do in the game, and the gameplay overall isn't really bad aside of some minor inconviences like the lack of ammo for special weapons and other kinds of stuff that Destiny 2 at least managed to fix at some point. It's a fun game, but the story is one of the weakest ones Bungie ever made, but one thing is certain, at least you can still play the original Campaign in 2025, unlike the next entry of this franchise.
