Oh mummy, I wanted this game so much. I didn't really care if it was super duper game of the year 2018. I just wanted to have at least as much fun as with the previous one. Boy was I wrong. Is it bad when a game feels boring within the first hour of playing? Clunky, and I mean really clunky, controls. God I hate when you press a button and the character makes one step too many. You have to literally circle containers to get "[E] Search" to appear. This is BAD. BAD BAD BAD! This is like 80% of the game play people. Can't you make nice responsive controls for a game that is based on interaction with the world? The game is way too dark and it makes you turn gamma up making it too washed out. Would be a good idea to make the flashlight to be a little brighter with longer beam that a medieval candle? Just a thought. Don't get me wrong, there are some fine changes like driving, having to care about fuel, not exploding a car after hitting 3 zombies. But I already fear the blood plague is going to be such a bore and such a chore. How could you f up a game like this? One survivor with infection consumes 5 medicines a day and the max capacity in the base is 15 when you start. That is such fun, isn't it! I will play more of this game and I will try to enjoy it but it isn't worth the money. Play a 'demo' first if you can.

Enslaved: Odyssey to the West10

I'm giving this game 10/10 despite some technical issues of the PC port. The story, the characters, the smooth gameplay and beautiful visuals make this interactive story (that's what this game is basically) enjoyable, engaging and thought provoking. Unfortunately the game did not gain much recognition at the time of release. Hopefully the publishers learnt from their mistakes and one day we'll see the sequel.

You'd think this is a great game, possibly one of the best. But when you get half way through, it gets really boring. Certain elements like judgement, improved romance, huge maps make this edition of DA stand out. Good god... do you remember walking around Skyhold for the first time? Do you also remember when you wanted to get rid of all the clutter? Do you remember when nothing actually changed? The changes based on your choices are mainly cosmetic. It doesn't really matter. It doesn't really matter whether Iron Bull stays with Qunari or is banished. It really doesn't make a big difference. After hours of herb gathering (!!!) and completing missions, after seeing that the game stopped evolving half way through I got really disappointed. After competion, went over to Cassandra to spend some time together, hoping that things would change in a way. I wasn't wrong - they changed. Cassandra started treating me like a stranger. Forgot all the passion and love. Won't even say "You're quite distracting, you know". There is absolutely no point in playing the game after the final mission which is ridiculously easy. I don't see how this game has any replayability value. It has a solid core, but everything else is just cosmetic and meaningless.

PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU 'LISTEN' TO THE WHINING ONES. Oh, and also ignore the 10 score review, clearly written by EA. Yes, this game lacks some content available in previous edition. Yes, EA will try to sell us DLCs and empty our wallets. Yes, this game isn't what it could've been. But it's so damn good and entertaining! It starts with caracter creation - superb! You can create anything brom fat melon-like ameba to triangular lean beefcake. The clothing options aren't THAT great but they're satisfying. Interaction between characters has been taken to the next level. Multitasking works really good. You can play a game, listen to the music and talk to a friend at the same time. Only this makes this game brilliant. Loading screens everywhere? Ok, I've got SSD drive and loading takes about 5 seconds. Not a big deal. This isn't Skyrim with open world. Sims 3 wasn't super attractive just because of that. The improved careen system works very good. I would recommend two mods for this game - slower timescale and superfast speed. Works as should be. I've been lost for two solid days now. I highly recommend this game even though I myself see EA as evil money grabbing gits. The price, potential costly DLCs and no-Steam policy is at least -2 to the final score.

Extremely engaging game! One playthrough is about 12 hours but it has huge replayability. The atmosphere of this game can only be compared to "I Am Alive". I wish there were more games of this kind. Superb!

If you're looking to shoot aliens this game is not for you. This game will absorb you with its atmosphere, the feeling of complete and perfect isolation on an alien planet, the unknown, oxygen running low and death awaiting around the corner. You follow the only lead that you've got - will it be worth it? The slowly unravelling story and the relationship between the two survivors - masterpiece. I gave it 9/10 because of the annoying tendency in story-driven games these days - scary things. Even one potential jumpscare if you're a weakling. I hate scary things...

It's not for playing poker really. The interaction between the players and GLaDOS is superb. The music is excellent, the atmosphere is there. You'll have good time playing. Ah, and don't forget: don't be scared by the chips... don't be scared by the chips...

It's all fine, alright, ok. But what they won't tell you is that this game is just a sort of TPP TOWER DEFENSE. You defend your house before waves of wolves and werewolves. Upgrades available. But let's be honest for a second... you'll have much more fun with Bloons TD. Don't bother.

Lucius7

I was hoping for a Hitman/Omen combination. There 'Omen' atmosphere is created perfectly, but there is very little choice (none, to be precise) making this game linear and just an interactive movie. There game is divided by chapters - in each chapter you kill somebody. You have super powers like telekinesis or mind control which will be upgraded (it's done automatically and I don't see much point in doing that to be honest). Thankfully you can skip cutscenes as you WILL fail a few times, at least once. The mansion is huge and beautiful and you can open, pick up all sorts of objects but again, there is no point in doing it. The game provides very little or too much guidance. Sometimes you just don't know what to do next, another time you feel like playing through FC3 Blood Dragon's tutorial. All in all, it is a decent game that could've been a hit. If only there was more than one way to kill people and if there was real stealth (yes, unfortunately hiding from your mum in the darkest corner in a huge room, behind a sofa, with lights off, at night, doesn't protect you from being spotted... this is btw the moment when you WILL fail at least once, you'll know when it comes). Hugely disappointing game that somewhat redeems itself after a completed playthrough (it's a nice story and beautifully looking game). Voice acting and animations are terrible too. But the game still manages to make up for it in a strange manner. You even have a little tricycle, just like in The Shining. Well done. It is a game for adults - gore, violence, sex and nudity (and I mean it). Lucius's potential has not been used. It's just another title you will forget after a while. Play time - 5 hours.

When this game started, it was probably not really worth the price. Since then, the developers added a LOT of new features, four additional consoles, interface options and others. They really listen and respect their fans and deserve 10/10. One playthrough (1 company) took me 9 hours. The game really draws you in.

Max Payne 35
Mar 31, 2014
Fairly good as a game, greatly disappointing as Max Payne. Stripped out of comic story telling and chronology. Instead we have inhumanely long and boring cutscenes, achievements and collectibles. This leads to situations like this: the person you're protecting from tens of enemies says "Come on Max, they'll be more here in a minute!" and you're like "Ok ok, hang on a minute, there might be a gun part in between these flower pots". Immensely annoying swapping weapons to your hand gun after EVERY FREAKING cutscene. The story is of a different kind. It doesn't feel like you're playing Max Payne at all. The constant screen flickering, decomposing and jittering is unnecessary and sometimes irritating too. Took me 9 hours on 'casual' and I absolutely **** at shooters.

This is such a climatic game it's a great shame it's so short. I mean really, the atmosphere in this game is its main attribute. Everything else lays in its shadow. There aren't many aspects I'd change and I wish there will be second game in the future. I guess you either love it or hate it. I loved it.

Good idea for a game but the result is bland and repetitive. Deleted the game after 2 hours despite the fact that I LOVE STEALTH GAMES. I can't even remember what the story was all about. You can give it a shot but I think I'd rather play NOLF instead.

Total War: Shogun 26
Feb 19, 2014
I don't know if I like the game or not. It is good and complex but at the same time frustrating. It's a Civ combined with an RTS and I find it quite hard. You can't see the unit's type on the battlefield so you have to select a unit to see what it is. Archers? Pikemen? Not so obvious when you look at them from the top. So it can be really easy to loose battle when you don't really know what you're playing with. Also the map units - spies, monks, etc seem to be invincible and keep sabotaging my city while I try to send yet another ninja squad to assassinate them. Unsuccessfully most of the time. And there is the Japanese theme which I'm totally no familiar with. The names of the units and buildings tell me nothing. It's totally not appealing to me. The AI can also be a pain. My whole army gets slaughtered by archers because katana warriors can't get through the gates as they're fighting a few defending soldiers. Ninjas get killed really quickly, everybody else gets killed by the archers and watchtowers and charging unit decided to go all the way around exposing itself to arrows. It's just frustrating to play.

I wish the game was bigger. It's got massive potential but only uses a portion of it. It could be one of the best survival game out there. We could have various maps, much longer story mode, less frustrating repairing system and better and more missions. It is a really good and time consuming game, where you get used to characters - they have different voices, perks and traits. You really care for those people despite them being generated randomly. It's pretty realistic and you really feel the apocalyptic atmosphere. The world is pretty well done, I wish there was more weather variation. It was fun playing that game but at the same time it was a bit disappointing as the game could offer a lot more than it actually does. The DLC is not worth buying though.

The Testament of Sherlock Holmes9
Feb 19, 2014
Good story, challenging gameplay (if you consider games of today), a few interesting features and beautiful Victorian England. I won't spoil the story, but it's classic - Holmes solves a mystery with Watson's little help. The puzzles can be fun at times, but the real deal here is the deduction board. It's something that I would like to see in every game involving a mystery. It really forces you to fully understand the events, consequences, and motives. Shame that it only happens three times in the game. The same goes with switching from Holmes to Watson. It could've been done more often that twice during the gameplay. I played it after The Raven and liked it a lot more. It's finished and bug-less for a start. Definitely worth playing.

The Raven: Legacy of a Master Thief8
Feb 19, 2014
It's yet another rushed and unfinished game with lots of bugs and glitches. There is practically no challenge solving the mystery - the only moment you can show off your deduction is the moment when you can address The Raven (or maybe not?) by name in the museum's loft. It's quite interesting how the same story is told by three different characters in three chapters, giving the answers to most of the questions. From technical point of view the game isn't that good. Characters are jerky, don't want to move to the places we want them to, or even disappear in thin air breaking the gameplay and forcing Alt+F4. Still, it's fun game. The story is quite decent with a final twist.

It's fun, it's rewarding, it can give you a nasty or nice surprise and it makes you work from the bottom to the top every time a king dies. As a emperor you can do anything. Dangerous factions for a kingdom you hold? Give the kingdom to a vassal and forget about it or prepare to fight a civil war. There are so many options to choose from. It's a very complex game, similar yet very different from EU4. Once you start playing you don't want to stop. Oh just one more war... oops another 2 hours gone.

Airport Simulator 20141
Feb 19, 2014
Sad sad sad... This game could be so much fun if done properly. Sadly, it's not done that way. It's unfinished, buggy and glitchy. A plane lands, taxis to a gate and then all vehicles must be driven to the plane to service it. Then the plane taxis to the runaway and takes off. You upgrade the gates and workers start doing tasks for you... in a terribly terribly slow SLOOOOOWWWW way. Everything is so damn slow! On the other hand landing and taking off is way to fast! Weather changes from cloudy to sunshine, you can hear the rain but you can't see it. There's no night/day cycle, so it's bright and sunny at 10pm. This game is SLOW. I can't emphasise it too much. Driving is slow, tasks take real time to complete. Sometimes you just sit and watch the timer count down to another interaction. It is painful, it is frustrating, it is a waste of time. I give 1/10 just because there is a trace of fun in that game before you actually realise that it's totally shambolic.

I really like the 9/10 and 10/10 reviews. A lot of sarcasm there. Sadly the game is ultra boring. Mega ultra boring. You run around the map with a chainsaw and cut trees which is just an animation. You go to a tree, press space, torture yourself watching 15 second animation, repeat 6 times and mission complete. Later you can buy machinery but I didn't get to that point. I give 2/10 only because I've played worse simulators. I won't even go into details like graphics, sound, controls, movement, etc. Not worth my time.
