How I Met Your Mother: Season 9

This series started good then lived on the "catch-phrases" for a good five to six filler-seasons and in the end the thing everyone expected in the first place was somehow made to fit the story so far. Who actually remembers a week after watching the finale who the real mother is? Because it's utterly meaningless. Also studio audience annoying as always.

Good show but for the overarching storyline hte number of episodes is just too great. The first one or two and the last one or two were good the episodes in between seemend to be just "today the crew meets people on this planet and gets into trouble" - episodes (bvasically filler), which may be ok for a show but i don't like it. Also the weapons and technology in general doesn't add up for me, sometimes it's futuristic, sometimes it's wild west 19th century. I know it's a premise of the show and it makes it special and sometimes interesting but mostly it's just unrealistic for this setting.

Good but not excelent. Some things just don't add up logically which is weird since sherlock is portrayed as being deservingly arrogant. I mean who has a name as password for his account as a high security national intelligence agency chief or something like that, no way anyone can guess a password like that.

Somehow i came a bit late to this because of the CIA / homeland security / american patriotism - angle, but especially the first season is just brilliant with some very chilling moments and none of the **** i somehow expected. Must watch for everyone really.

Very funny and although probably rehashing some ideas from their previous works still good writing and definately one of my top 10 comedy moments when Warwick is in the office with the guys and Liam Neeson. The Special episode that came two years later was sadly very boring and only slightly funny.

Probably not most peoples favorite work of Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, but i love it and think it's better than The Office. Especially Stephen Merchants portrayal as the agent is hilarious. Changing celebrities in each episode seems like a desperate attempt to get views but even without the celebrities it would be an outstanding series.

In my opinion the best season since the first one. Having read the books there are some differences but i think in essence the story was adapted very well. No scenes that i wanted to be in there were left out except Penny at Joffrey's wedding.

While more real and profund than the previous seasons i think this season lacks a lot of the humor of especially the third season, which is my favorite so far. Still a good season but just not as funny.

Maybe I'm biased since i love Louis CK's stand-up comedy but I think this series is profundly funny and real with great acting and writing. I'm not a fan of the studio audience though. One of my all-time favorite comedy series.

The idea behind the show is great (haven't read the novel though) and i really wanted to like it, but episode 5 robbed me of my last bit of hope for this one. Micheal Bay is listed as executive producer for this show although i'm not sure how much input he had, but every episodic plot certainly felt "Micheal Bay-esque" in that it basically was similar to his hacky action movies, while the overarching storyline still felt compelling. I don't know anything about the naval realities so that wasn't the problem for me and for all i know the military part is realistic. The dialogue is very poor and predictable including some cringeworthy one-liners especially in episode 5, the acting is ok but obviously limited by the script and maybe direction. The story in each episode has major logical fallacies while the overall story is intact (probably that's the faithful part of the novel).
