As a die-hard CIV 6 fan, this is utterly disappointing. For me, the greatest issue is that the 3 ages are basically 3 mini-games with a hard reset after each one. There is nothing quite like losing EVERYTHING at the last click of an age and starting over again. If they could fix it to at least have a mode that lets you play seamlessly from one age to the next, I'd be far more favorable to Civ 7. I am also very disappointed with the removal of experience and promotions from each military unit. And lastly, the UI as everybody mentions, is truly terrible. I didn't think it was possible, but it actually grows worse and worse the longer I play as I discover the lack of functionality and the problems with it.

The Settlers: New Allies is refreshingly reminiscent of Settlers 3. Some things have been dumbed down a bit and there is lots of room for improvement but overall it captures the same feel of the classics. There are lots of critics claiming that this game "doesn't know what it is" but I strongly disagree here. My biggest disappointments, however, is the lack of a free-for-all mode or the option to play with AI teammates. It is also a huge let down that there is no editor or map generator.
