Ys: Memories of Celceta7
Sep 30, 2014
Finished playing YS : Memories of Celceta on August too. Actually the game is YS IV. You play as Adol Christin, a red hair traveler. One day he arrived on Celceta and lost all of his memories while exploring the forest. After that, he went back once again by the order of the Supreme Commander to map the forest, while trying to find his lost memories. Plus point: - A total upgrade from the previous series. The previous game was on PSP, the YS VII. This game is on PS Vita, thus making a total upgrade in the graphic section. And of course, it totally uses every feature of Vita. Such as the touch screen, and the back pad. - Fast paced action RPG is the best sentence to define this game. Hack & Slash is the most part of the game. Exploring the forest while killing all of the monsters on the field. And you do that without any loading time, or entering into the battle. Found an enemy? just hack it on the spot. Minus point: - The story, compared to YS VII, is not that good. The main plot of the game is to find out why Adol went to the forest and lost his memories. Also to map the forest. And that's all. No plot twist that will get you excited. - The battle is pretty much easy. If you can master the timing for the Slide Evade, then you are pretty much a master of the game. Do that and you can kill every monster that has a higher level than you. The verdict: As one of the early game of PS Vita, this game is pretty fun. Although i must say, not to expect too much on the story, because YS never rely itself on the story. The gameplay is as awesome as always, totally an improvement from the previous series, making it hard to stop playing because the battle is so fun. In the end, i give this game a 7.5 / 10

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag7
Jul 26, 2014
Finished this game a week ago. The latest installment to the Assassin's Creed franchise, featuring a new character, Edward Kenway. As you may know, Edward Kenway is the grandfather of Connor Kenway, the protagonist from Assassin's Creed III. Edward is just another pirate who's trying to find lots of money, so he can live carefree in this world. One day his ship crashed and he was stranded in an island. There, he met an Assassin, he killed him and took the Assassin's name as his own. Edward is the first character in the Assassin's Creed that learn everything about assassination not from the Creed. He's self taught because he has the "sense" of an Assassin (In other words, a genius). Find out the journey of Edward in the Caribbean Sea. Plus point: - First Assassin's Creed game that was released on a next gen console. And i must say, although the graphics are not better than Tomb Raider Definitive Edition, the environment is awesome. The sea, the sky, everything is so colorful, making your naval journey awesome. Also harpooning is fun. - A new character who is unique and breaking the stereotype of Assassin's Creed protagonist. Edward, he doesn't care about justice and stuffs like that, all he wants is money. And his character development is really interesting, because he becomes a "real" assassin at the end of the game. - Battle systems are as always, too easy and boring. But this time, our hero use a new weapons. Which is Dual Sword & 4 Handgun. Pretty neat. - Freedom Cry, a stand alone DLC was released for this game. It told the story of Adewale, Edward's crew on the Jackdaw. The story takes place a few years after Black Flag, although Edward's name was mentioned a few times, it was unknown about how he was doing. This DLC worth every penny of it. It's enough to enjoy the Caribbean Sea once again with another character and another purpose. Minus point: - The world is too large. I found myself spending too much time on the exploration part. While the story is just too short. Sailing through the sea took my sweet time on this game. I must say that it was quite boring sailing through the sea and waiting for my ship to arrive at the destination. - Same old Assassin's Creed. Hope Ass Creed Unity can bring a new wind to this franchise. The verdict: I don't know why the hate for ACIV. I love the game & i love edward. The game is visually stunning in some aspects, but kinda looks bad on another. Although there are no new big changes to the gameplay, the story itself isn't that bad. It's good to see someone different from the previous protagonists. If you have PS4, then play this on PS4. It's really good, since there are no problems with Frame Skip like in PS3. The game runs smoothly on PS4. Totally recommended. But i must say, that this is just another game of Assassin's Creed. Nothing more and nothing less. 7/10 for this game.

The Wolf Among Us8
Jul 26, 2014
Finished this game 2 weeks ago. Another great game from Telltale games. First of all, The Wolf Among Us is a prequel to the renowned comic books, Fable. In The Wolf Among Us, you will play as Bigby, The Big Bad Wolf, trying to keep peace inside the Fabletown as it's Sheriff. One day she met a girl named Faith, and on the same day, Faith was killed and her head was left in front of Bigby's apartment. Who's the killer? and Why? Play the game to the conclusion and you'll get your head blown for it. Plus point: - After The Walking Dead Season 1, Telltale games made their name known for that masterpiece. And after that, they went and released The Wolf Among Us. When i played the first episode, i was blown. The game is visually beautiful, compared to The Walking Dead, it's totally an upgrade. Kinda like 2D Cell Shading kind of Visual, and it's awesome. - The story includes characters that are famous and known to us. Like Snow white, Little Red Riding Hood, Humpty & Dumpty, Bloody Mary, & Etc. Although you never read Fable before, the characters are basically from the fairy tale. So, it's not someone that you don't know at all. - Although i must say that the story progress is kinda slow, the conclusion to the game is pretty much awesome. That plot twists are gonna make you nod your head. - A much more elaborate battle system. It becomes more similar to Heavy Rain, much more actions you can do, and much more objects that you can interact with. I think this system is an update from The Walking Dead. Minus point: - Unlike The Walking Dead, the choices that you made in the game doesn't really affect your storyline in an extreme way, which is why the options in the game isn't really that important. This game is not about an adventure, it's about solving a case. So if you are looking for a thrill of adventure in this game, don't. - I did mentioned it before on the plus point, that the story progress is slow. And yes, those five episodes has totally different level on intensity. Like Episode 3, it feels like a filler to me. The verdict: The Wolf Among Us is another great game from Telltale games, and i personally love it. But don't expect it to be similar to The Walking Dead, since it's not an adventure game, but kinda more like Sherlock Holmes kind of game. Uncovering the mysteries is the point of this game. And the visual level is beyond good, although you will still feel some technical issue like loading time and frame skip. Other than that, the game is good. What i want to say is, don't compare it to The Walking Dead.

The Testament of Sherlock Holmes6
Jun 30, 2014
Just finished this cool mystery game. One of the best mystery game i ever played. The story is about Sherlock Holmes, after the case of Jack The Ripper. Sherlock found himself in a case where a bishop was killed brutally. While finding the murderers, he found out that the case leads to a bigger plot, with someone pulling the string behind the curtain. Who is it? And why? And how? Play, and you'll find out. If you are a fan of Sherlock Holmes, then this game is a must. Plus point: - Epic story! The plot, the mysteries, it's just cool! This game brings out another dark chapter in the life of Sherlock and an unexpected turn of events. This game has one of the greatest mystery story ever told in PS3. Sherlock & Watson characters are great and it's similar to the impression of the novel. And it brings out characters that you already know of. - Challenging puzzle. The puzzles might be easy enough, but challenging. Amd there are lots of it. From the easiest puzzle till the hardest one. Sometimes it took me more than 15 minutes to finish one puzzle. Gotta keep the brain working! Minus points: - Poor graphic and unflexible movement. I sometimes found myself stuck in front of an open door for no reason. I have to turn back and then turn again so i can walk through the door. Weird. And the environment is good enought, but it seems kinda jaggy. Feels like game of PS2. The game itself could be much better, it's just too bad they have to make it with such crappy graphics. Other than that, the game was fun, the platinum is a piece of cake, but the crappy graphic really brings down the mood sometimes. Although it got a good story. i give the game a 6.5 / 10

DmC: Devil May Cry8
Jun 30, 2014
Finished the game & the Vergil's Downfall DLC. I must say, i'm impressed. Haven't play any of the DmC game before, so this is my first experience with the series. This game is awesome. Story of Dante & Vergil, the son of Eve & Sparda, Angel & Demon. Makes them a being called Nephilim. The only race that could defeat the demon king, Mundus. The story is quite simple though, just Dante, seeking revenge for killing his mother, while Vergil is trying to find "Freedom". Plus point: - The new Dante is super badass! Like the coolest action hero for 2013. He is totally a memorable character. - A great battle system. Combo, combo, & combo. You can make your own combination and make an endless combo. - Well weapon style that can be upgraded, brings the battle to a whole new level. Maxed out all of your weapon level and you will have a superb Dante. Minus point: - While the story is okay, the DLC's story was just crap. I mean it's cool that we get to play as Vergil, but the story itself is a total crap. - I don't usually play this kind of game. I started with the Demon Hunter difficulty, and it proves to be real hard for me. I guess the game itself is hard enough. I enjoyed the game, although i'm not a fan of that genre. 8/10 for a great game.

Assassin's Creed Liberation HD6
Jun 30, 2014
Just finished this Assassin's Creed game. An HD remake of the PS Vita one. Never played the original one, so i don't really know about the difference. So this game starts a little different, out of the story of Desmond. Aveline, a half of French and African, found herself fighting to free the slaves under the guidance of Agate, one of the Brotherhood's Assassin. Plus point: - A really fresh lady assassin. Not much game has a woman as the main character now, so it's kinda fresh seeing aveline chopping and slashing people out in the field. - An unique Persona System. Aveline's characters are divided into 3: the slaves, the lady, and the assassin. Each with their own traits and skills, making it intersting in finishing some missions. - Mission with Connor? That's just awesome. At some point, you'll cross paths with Connor and went to strike enemy's fort together. Total epic. Minus point: - Graphics are good sometimes but are bad sometimes. Sometimes you'll find yourself in the middle of the city with a verybdark surrounding (probably because of the sun), which makes it uncomfortable. I found myself using the Eagle Vision so many times just so i can see the surrounding. It still has a great grahics, but jaggy at some point. - The movement isn't as smooth as AC3. Sometimes i find myself running up against the wall like again and again when i already moved my analog to another directions. - Boring move set. I thought that we'll be seeing a new move set, considering she's a new character, but instead i saw her with the exact same move set with Connor. Pretty disappointing. - Weak story. The game has a really weak story and weak character backgrounds. Seeing Aveline moves blindly and killing peoples with that motives? Just weird. In the end, the game is just okay. Not that good, but not bad either. Probably the 2nd worst AC game i ever played after AC1. I'll just give it a 6/10.

Dead Island7
Jun 30, 2014
Just finished this great FPS RPG game. Some people were enjoying the island of Banoi when a zombie outbreak starts, infecting almost the entire island. The 4 survivors who is immune to the virus is trying to find their way out of the island while being guided by the voice on the radio. Plus point: - Superb atmosphere. The sound effect, the environment, the zombies, it's enough to make my spine chill. I mean you can heard the growling of zombies or someone's screaming or crying. This is totally a horror game. And when you are playing it in FPS, you won't know what's coming from around you, and that's thrilling. - Great battle and weapon system. You can modify your weapon with items u found along your journey. You can make an Electric Machette, Fire Mace or whatever to kill zombies. You can cut their limbs, break their body, or you can just stomp on their head with 40K damage. Minus point: - Weak story and sidequests in a sidequest? Not too good, eh? The story is basically simple. Trying to get out of the island and stuffs like that. Just too normal. And too many sidequests. I mean we are doing sidequest to get a sidequest in it? Well..that's weird. - Enemy level is the same with our level, so i guess all of the zombies will level up together with you which makes them stronger if you are stronger. It's just like Final Fantasy VIII all over again. - Glitches everywhere. Glitches in the sidequests, which makes a sidequest uncompletable. But in the end, i do enjoy this game. It really feels like surviving, but still some environment glitches bugs me a little. A 7/10 for this game. Might be better if you play it on PC though

Inazuma Eleven Go: Light8
Jun 30, 2014
Just finished this Soccer Simulation RPG. I must say that it definitely has improved graphics than the previous series, since this is the first game of Inazuma on the next gen handheld. Well 10 years after Endou Mamoru and Inazuma Japan win the tournament, Soccer becomes very famous. But behind that, every match was being controlled by a group called Fifth Sector. They decide who win and who lose and also the score. Matsukaze Tenma, a first year in Raimon Junior High, has been longing to join the soccer team. But the reality is that soccer isn't something "fun" anymore. We'll see how Tenma return soccer to it's original form. Plus point: - Improved graphics, the game is very beautiful. This is the first game in the series to be released on 3DS. The 3D works too, and it works beautifully. Love it. - Pretty decent story and great ost. Well the story is pretty much decent though, and if you play the previous series, you'll see some returning characters in their adult version. Also after you finished the game, you'll get a piece of story regarding the movie of Inazuma Eleven GO. The battle in God Eden against Hakuryuu. So, i guess it's pretty complete. Minus point: - Not so many skills anymore. Comparing to the previous game, every characters other than the main one, pretty much has the same set of skills and that makes them boring. I barely used the supporting characters. Also the recruiting system has changed. Sometimes to get who you want, you need to went through a bunch of condition first, which is annoying. After all, it's a good game. I give it 8/10.

Atelier Meruru: The Apprentice of Arland6
Jun 30, 2014
Just finished this crafting/simulation RPG game. A few years after Totori becomes a famous alchemist, Totori left Arland and become an alchemist in the Kingdom of Lars. There she met the princess, Meruru. Meruru, while being a princess of Arls, she is more interested in becoming an alchemist than being a royalty. In 6 years, Arland and Arls will merge into one country. And before that, Meruru promised to be a great alchemist and helps her people. Well, same old game with different characters i guess. Plus point: - This game has a great visual. I mean the characters looks really cute, and everything seems so colorful. - A clear objective! You got a request from townspeople, and you achieve it and develop a new building for something new for your kingdom. - Returning characters from previous game. Almost all of them shows up i guess. Like Sterk, Gino, Mimi, even Rorona in her child form. And then there's Esty, Gio, Filly, Astrid and Hom! Well all of them have grown up. Especially Gino and Sterk, these two characters looks really cool! Minus point: - I can't seem to point this out enough. Level is not important here, what's important is equipments. But the thing is, you can't make a better equipment until later. And they won't tell you how to unlock the gears. ****. - The story isn't that strong. I mean, you play as Meruru, and you'll see her everyday life. Everything that happens are mostly daily stuffs. I supposed it could be much better than just that. After all of it, i think that this game is the best from the Arland Trilogy. 6.5/10 for this game.

Atelier Ayesha: The Alchemist of Dusk8
Jun 30, 2014
Just finished this great game. This is my favourite Atelier series for now. It starts with the story of Ayesha, who lives away from the city. One day her sister, Nio, disappeared suddenly when gathering herbs inside a ruin. A several years later, Ayesha go to the ruin and then found Nio within the glowing flowers. After that Ayesha met an alchemist called Keith who tells her that Alchemy is the only way to save her sister. So the journey of Ayesha starts. Plus point: - A CLEAR main mission. Saving your sister, Nio, while searching for the trails that lead to her. Well you got exactly 3 years worth of traveling. While you can finished your main mission in 2 years. Which will give you lots of time to finish the subquest. This game is mostly about traveling and exploring, not just synthetizing items like previous games. Sure it still has lots of comedy in it, but they also got the serious parts. - Leveling up is useful now! Not like the previous games, leveling up in this game do counts in fighting enemies. While equipment can be bought in the shop. I just love this system haha. - People said that the game is short, but i think it's just enough. Playing this kind of game too long is boring. Minus point: - Uhm..Japanese voice isn't available in this game. So you have to listen to all of that crappy dubbing. - Lack of characteristic for the characters! The characters are mostly women, and they are not as flashy as the characters from previous games. Also, they only have 2 playable males in this game, which ****. After all, i give this game 8/10. If you never played Atelier series before, i recommend you to start with this one, as it doesn't have any connections to the previous games. Cheers!

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes7
Jun 30, 2014
Super duper late review of this game. Finished this game a couple weeks ago. To tell the truth i've never played this series before, so i'm kinda clueless about what's going on. Well the story is about Solid "Big Boss" Snake who was trying to save his comrades, Chico & Paco, from the enemy camp. Well, those two are pretty much in a bad shape after some torturing, and it's up to the "Big Boss" to save them. Plus point: - Played this on PS4, i must say that it has a stunning graphic, and with 60fps, this game is just awesome. One of the visually beautiful game on PS4 at the moment. - One map to rule them all. Well, as you know, this MGS is partially sandbox. You can ride a jeep, tank, use an anti-air gun to take out your enemies. Well, the map isn't that big, so it's easy to remember places. - Fun side mission. You can save Hideo Kojima in one of the side mission. Heh, it's good to be a game producer. You can make yourself into a game character lol. Minus point: - Not so heavy arsenal. There are like limited type of weaponry that you can use in this game. And most of it makes a very loud noises, and the enemy will find you as soon as possible. - It gave us 2 style of playing this game. Stealth or Frontal War. But the point is, you can't clear the game in a Frontal War. Enemy will respawn endlessly, unless you went into hiding. As i'm not very good at stealth game, this kind of game is my natural enemy. - For having only 1 story mission, this game cost half of one original game, and that's expenive. Well, personally i think that this game should cost only like $9.99. More like a DLC rather than a standalone game. Even, Infamous: Blood Festival is longer than this game. The verdict: Metal Gear Solid V : Ground Zeroes is a solid intro to the Phantom Pain, it's fun to play and visually stunning. But having only one story mission that you can finish in like 10 minutes, and cost around $25, makes me feels like it's not worth buying it as a new game, but oh well, since i played this on PS4, the graphic itself is worth $15 + gameplay maybe $10. So 7/10 for this game. — playing Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes.

Persona 4 Golden10
Jun 30, 2014
Just finished Persona 4 The Golden last night. I must admit that this game is a MASTERPIECE. I'll say it upfront, i'm giving this game a 10/10. I enjoyed the game very much. The story about a young boy who was sent to live with his uncle in the countryside, Inaba Town. He will have to live there for a year. The first time he arrived, lots of rumor about the midnight channel and people missing. What exactly happened in Inaba & what's our hero role in all of this? Play and find it out. Plus point: - This game has like every aspect to make the game enjoyable. First of all, a strong main story. I mean yeah, you are a high schooler who is a student at days while playing the role **** who can summon persona and whack the ass of Shadows? That's pretty much cool. And not just that, we got lines of strong supporting characters. You could unfold what happened in Inaba, searching for the truth or stop at the false truth, it's all up to you. Because the fate of the story is in your hand. - Social links & normal life! Supporting characters are not just supporting characters, you can actually bond with them and get extra side story. Our hero is a high school student, so it's just normal to have activities outside school. You can go on a date, hang out with your friends, find a girlfriend, eat at the restaurant, learn more about your friends, you can do part time jobs, read books, make lunch, etc. This makes the game just real and we can relate it to our life as well. - Music! Shoji Meguro is definitely a genius. He writes most of the songs for the Megami Tensei series and yes, this game has addictive music. The battle music, theme song, background music, it's just awesome. It makes you enjoy the game more than ever. - Persona 4 The Golden is like a complete edition of Persona 4. At first i thought just some extra scene and a little upgrade. I was wrong. The new shuffle system, extra scene of going skiing, going to beach, festival & stuffs? It's just awesome. New social link like Marie and her true story? That's just awesome. This is my 2nd time playing it and i'm still amazed by the new contents. Costumes, Riding Bike, 3rd Evolution. Epilogue showing how's your friend a year later, & etc. Thumbs up Atlus, just...awesome. Minus Point: - Seriously? None. But if i have to point it out. You can get the "True" True Ending only if you play it the 2nd time. Well, most people would love to play it again. But not for me, uh-uh. I don't like playing the whole game for the 2nd time. But by playing it the 2nd time, that means you can get the other Social Link that you haven't got the first time. Well it's all about perspective though. After all i REALLY....REALLY recommend you to buy this game if you own a Vita. This game is a masterpiece and you GOT to have this game. 10/10, nuff said & just grab the f*cking game.

Mass Effect7
Jun 30, 2014
Finished playing this science fiction RPG! Mass Effect, well at first i'm totally not interested in it. I mean, lots of alien races? space stuffs? Those things are serious and i'm afraid i can't really understand any of it. But luckily this game changed my point of view. We play as John Shepherd, you can choose your background for your characters, i chose to be the War Hero. You were a commander in a fleet called Normandy, the most advanced ship in the earth colony. Your first mission is to retrieve a beacon from a long lost races` technology. Saren, A Spectre, a commando unit directly under the council, betrayed them, and try to bring the Reaper, an alien races that annihilated lots of planet before. Saving this world, **** galaxy from Saren is your mission now. Plus point: - This game is really fresh for me. I mean yes it's a 3rd person shooting game, but it is an RPG too. And you can have like a lot of Skills. - The story is epic, i mean yeah saving the galaxy from a mean Alien? That's just badass. But that's all. This game is good, but without any strong points other than the story. - Sometimes the choices are really hard. And you really have to choose & act by your nature, that's the best way to dealt with the situation. Like who are you going to save and stuffs. Those choices will really affect the storyline. But not all of it, only some. Minus Point: - This game is kinda boring. I mean the sub mission is repetitive. You went to a planet, you ride the Mako, Explore, Kill all enemies, quest finished! And there are just too many of this kind of mission. Takes a lot of times to finish each of it. - Choices doesn't really change the way the game goes. Well of course there are Renegade and Paragon points which define what kind of hero you are, but that's all. I mean you gave us 3 choices but it doesn't really change the way Shepherd react to it. I mean what he said and the choices sometimes doesn't fit at all. Which is totally weird. I'm just finishing the first game and going for the 2nd one. Considering the game has a good story, i kinda recommend it to a sci-fi fans. 7.5/10 for this game.

Mass Effect 29
Jun 30, 2014
Finished Mass Effect 2 last week. So far, this is the best Mass Effect series i have ever played (Still haven't touched Mass Effect 3 though). So the story begins weeks after Shepard killed Saren & destroy the Sovereign. But the Galaxy are still in constant threat of the Reapers. One day, the Normandy was out on a mission when "The Collector" arrives and destroy the Normandy, killing most of the crews, including Shepard. Cerberus, an underground mercernary organization, is trying to revive shepard. And after 2 years, they succeed in bringing Shepard back, for two reasons, To destroy the collectors and to protect humanity. Can Shepard saves the galaxy..again? What is Cerberus? Who is the Collector and what are their ties to the Reapers? Play and find it out yourself. Plus point: - Better graphic than the first one! ME2 totally got an upgrade in that part. The characters are more detail, and also now we got a collection of Weapon & Armor which is just too awesome. - No more exploring with the tank! Well, finally Bioware decided to change their exploration system. No more tank in an unknown planet. Although of course they are still annoying scanning and sending probe system. But that will prove useful when you got Mordin, the one who will do research on your weapon, armor, and Normandy. - Lots of characters to choose. We got quite a line up here! And everyone has their own unique skills (When you finished their loyalty mission). Which makes them different one to another). Also we got to see some reccuring characters like GARRUS! (still with his cool scouter!) - Subquests are more fun. Secondy quests are fun! I mean there are stories to all of it, no matter how simple it is. From finding items to stopping a ship from an explosion, every mission counts. - Choices DOES make a difference. I mean finally, we got a lot of choices to decide whether someone lives or dies. And also, the new Paragon/Renegade actions (with L2 & R2 buttons), making the game more interesting. - Epic Story! It was really cool, they "killed" shepard and then "revived" him. Making a brand new chapter in his life, with some old members. Also, the choices you make on ME1, DOES have an effect on this game. Also the story about the collectors, the protheans, and the reapers, ARE interesting. I'm not much of a fan of sci-fi, but Mass Effect is too damn awesome. Can't wait to play the 3rd one. Minus Point: - Crappy final boss. It was either i was overlevel or the boss is just too easy. It didn't took more than 5 minutes to beat the final boss, so that was kind of disappointing to me. Although, that was in the normal difficulty, i wonder how it'll be on the insane difficulty. - A new battle system. I mean at the first game, you got unlimited ammo. You only need to keep your weapon from overheating. But not now, you got limited ammo! So it IS possible that you ran out of ammo when fighting hordes of enemies. But you'll get used to it as time goes by. But at the beginning it'll be quite annoying. The Verdict: Mass Effect 2 is FAR better than the first game. It's full of actions, better graphics, great lines of characters, and more than that GREAT story. To tell the truth, i was pessimistic about the series. But right now, i can say that this game is AWESOME. It barely has any weak points, other than the easy last boss & adapting to the new battle system, but other than that everything is just great. 9/10 from me. A must play if you have a PS3.

Bravely Default8
Jun 30, 2014
Finished this 3DS game last week. And i must tell you that the game is great. I mean square enix is back to the basic again. I guess we'll see more great games from Square Enix soon. The story start with Tiz, a normal villager who suddenly lost his entire village and family to a great chasm, leaving a big hole on where it used to be. And soon after that, he met Agnes, the Wind Vestal who is looking for a way to fix what happened, together with her fairy, Airy. So, can Tiz & Agnes find out what happened and fix it? Play and find out about it. Plus point: - Oldschool RPG. I mean, this is the kind of RPG we are looking for now. A turn based one, with a great adventure waiting. It's a basic RPG, which makes it good. - Great plot. I mean you totally won't see that coming. The reason for the Great Chasm, the reason why the Marshall wants to kill Agnes, and the mastermind behind all of this? It's kinda mind blowing. - LOTS of jobs to choose. I mean like LOTS of it. From Ninja, Swordmaster, even Vampire. This just makes the game enjoyable. People can find their own style with the job they likes. So everyone can have a different experience when playing the same game. - Dual voice! Which is awesome. Finally Square Enix understands the need of their gamer. Hearing those cute voice of Edea is just awesome! Minus point: - Even though it has a great plot, the execution is kinda bad. I mean can you stand the same story, and the same pattern for 4 chapters straight? That's just crazy and makes it boring at one point. - The world is too small, and not enough adventures. I thought that the journey would be much longer and would took us to lots of different places, but i was wrong. The world map is small and has limited place to explore. The Verdict: Bravely Default is great classic RPG for us. If you have 3DS, just grab it. But i must remind you first, the game gets boring at some point. Also, the story isn't as simple as you think. You gonna need a little thinking to understand it. The game is totally fun, and refreshing. 8.5 for this game.

inFamous: Second Son8
Jun 30, 2014
Finished this game last week. Probably one of the best game in the next gen console for now. The story starts after the end of Infamous 2 (Hero Cole). The conduits are still being treated as dangerous subjects. Our hero, Delsin, is a rebel lad. And his brother, Reggie, is part of the police force. One day, the two of them witness a car accident. Delsin found a guy who can shoot fire from his hand, and when he touched him, he got the smoke power and turns into a conduit. So, will Delsin will be able to turn back to normal? Play and find it out. Plus point: - Lovely graphics. As a PS4 exclusive, Infamous Second Son has an awesome environment. I mean, it's a sandbox game, but it's just lovely. - Awesome gameplay and usage of the DS4. I mean, the way you use your controller as a spray can? That's just awesome. The game itself is pretty easy to control. One button to release Delsin's powers. - Still the choices of being Infamous or True Hero. This increase the replay value. But only once. The path to be a hero or infamous. After that, you are done! - Probably one of the game in PS4 with the easisest platinum trophy. Play it twice, and it's yours. - Delsin can absorbs total of 4 powers. Smoke, Neon, Video, and for the post game, Concrete. This makes the battle more variable. You can change your style in the middle of the battle, and see their different ultimate attacks. Minus point: - Cheesy story. I never expect much from the story. Well it is a sandbox game, but yeah compared to the Cole's chapters, Delsin's story is just plain & boring. - Although Delsin got 4 powers, the powers seems almost the same one to another. I mean, first there are shoot power, and then one big attack moves, jumping/flying moves. They could have specialized each power to make it more special though. - Lack of formidable enemies. Well, if you play it on insane difficulty, then yes, it's quite a challenge. But other than that, they don't have a "strong" bosses to challenge us. The verdict: Infamous : Second Son is a must play if you have a PS4. I mean, it's GTA with superpowers. How cool is that? But don't expect the story to be awesome, because it's not. But nevertheless, the game us very enjoyable. Although you'll get bored with the repetitive missions. But that's to be expected. 8/10 for this game.

Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition9
Jun 30, 2014
Finished this game an hour ago. Well i already finished the PS3 version. So this is going to be an "upgrade" on my previous PS3 review. Definitive Edition got a total upgrade in the character's graphics and run in 60fps, which makes the game run sooo smooth. Basically it's already a great game, and with this upgrade on PS4, totally worth playing for. If you haven't played the PS3 version, get the PS4 version. Definitive Edition is almost flawless. It doesn't have any problems from the PS3 version, run on 60fps and Total HD. This game is 9.5/10 for me

Mass Effect 38
Jun 30, 2014
Finished the last installment on this sci-fi series last week. So basically i play the game and load my save files from ME2. So my review is going to be based on my storyline. Shepard was detained back on earth because he sacrificed a batarian's planet to delay the reaper invasion. In the meantime, every species is getting ready for the war with the reaper. Suddenly the Reaper invades Earth. Shepard, once again go back to the outer space to get help from all species in the galaxy. Can Shepard make it? Will he get back in time with the help needed? Play and find out yourself. Plus point: - A total upgrade in the graphic level. The main characters' expression and details are much much better in this game. Also the new weapon and armor system, makes the game more interesting. - If you load the save files from the previous game, whatever you did on the prequels, will affect the story on this game. And there are so many reccuring characters from the trilogy. - Great conclusion to the story. I finished the game with the perfect ending within my first gameplay. Well, of course while finishing all of the other DLCs, such as Omega, From The Ashes, Citadel, Leviathan. It's like every creatures on the galaxy is lending a hand to shepard for the war with the Reaper. The game is full pf actions, i mean you fight a gigantic reaper with only Scanning Laser Gun for an all out attack? That's intense and awesome. - Garrus, Garrus, Garrus! My partner since ME1 and the best and coolest characters of ME Trilogy, and he's back once again. Minus Point: - I played the game on PS3, so the game is not that smooth. Sometimes there are some jaggy scene, i guess the console itself isn't powerful enough for this game, which is such a letdown. - You can choose your ending! Well although only one leads to Perfect Ending, and of course if you have enough Paragon points and Effective Military Strength for it. But that's kinda ignoring our play style of paragon or renegade. Because in the end they gave you a choice for the ending. It'll be better if you play as Paragon, you automatically gets the Paragon ending, without choosing other options. - Well, not exactly a minus point, but almost all of the characters on ME2 won't join as playable characters. I kinda miss Thane. The Verdict: I must say, i'm not much of a fan of sci-fi, but this series totally blew my mind. ME3 is a full action pack game with great stories. We could see how desparate Shepard is to save Earth from the Reaper, His love story with Ashley, His sadness when losing comrades, this game is not just a simple game with shoot and destroy, but it brings some of the emotional feeling in it. I totally love ME trilogy and one of the best game i ever played. If only they could fix the frame rate problem, then this game is flawless. 8.5/10

Tales of Symphonia7
Jun 30, 2014
Finished Tales of Symphonia last week. I never played the game before, so it's kinda fresh playing the new HD Remastered version. Collete, the chosen one, have to travel all over Sylvarant, releasing the seal to change herself into an Angel & regenerate the world. Together with her childhood friend, Lloyd & Genis, and also a Mercenary called Kratos & Genis' sister, Raine, they started the journey to regenerate the world. But what's waiting in front of them, is more than they could imagine. Play & find out the fate of Lloyd and his friends in saving the world. Plus point: - Finally an old school RPG! As you know, Tales of series always brings out the best experience in JRPG. So is this game. The characters are chibis, and also a very colorful world. Of course this is an HD Remake version, so i don't expect much of an upgrade in the graphic part, but this is enough to raise my tension. - Dual voice option! Not only they translated this game into English, but they also included the Dual Voice options. Which is totally awesome! One of the plus point for English translated JRPG. Minus point: - Worst battle system ever in the history of Tales of. This game has a 2D linear battle system, but the battle map is 3D. You can only move forward & back, and you can't run around the map as you like. That's really annoyiing, considering the map is quite large and NPC can move around freely, but not the character you are controlling. - Traveling between two worlds is super troublesome. As you know, later in the game you can go around between two worlds, Sylvarant & The'tealla. The problem is you can only go to the other world through a certain part in the world map. Which makes it really really troublesome. - You need to clear some condition to make Mystic Artes available. (Except for Sheena, since her Mystic Artes is the Summon). And there are no tutorials regarding that one. No one would be able to use the mystic artes if they didn't read any walkthrough. - Non-linear storyline. Which supposed to be a good thing, but this only works for the order of the main storyline. (Like whether you want to take a unicorn horn first or the book on the Tower.) You can do either first or later. Not necessarily a bad thing, but it gives you an unclear next destination. Sometimes i find myself wondering where should i go next because there are like multiple routes to take. The Verdict: The game is good, but not great. The story itself isn't WOW-ing either. To tell the truth, this has one of the most complex story in the Tales of series. If you expect too much of this game, you'll get disappointed. Although this game is an example of good old RPG, but it feels like the game itself came out short. 7.5/10 for this game. I'll be expecting more for the sequel, Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World.

Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World6
Jun 30, 2014
Finished this game a week ago. The sequel to the famous Tales of Symphonia, but too bad that it couldn't live up to the name. The story starts 2 years after Lloyd and his companions saved the world, and making Te'thealla and Sylvarant into one world. People from Te'thealla have more advanced technology than the Sylvarants, so they look down on them. The world is still pretty much in a chaos. Our hero, Emil, is a weak minded boy whose parents was killed by Lloyd Irving in the event of "Blood Purge" in Palmacosta. While everybody's praising Lloyd for saving the world, Emil lives his life hating Lloyd. And after meeting Richter and Marta, his life changed forever. Plus point: - While this is a classic RPG, the game was in Wii. So it pretty much has a better graphics, and also 60 fps for the game, making everything moves smoothly. - Returning characters from the previous series. You will get every characters from the previous game as your party member, which is awesome. - No world map exploring anymore! You can go straight to the city or town u want, or dungeons, or whatever, with a click od a button. Very good, considering the map is the same with previous game, with nothing new to see anymore. Minus point: - The plot is not that bad, but the characters of Emil and Marta aren't exactly what i called "loveable". Emil is a weak minded boy, so while playing this game, i sometimes find myself really angry with Emil for his undecisiveness. While Marta, showing his affection towards Emil in a very extreme way, although it seems to cease towards the end of the game. - Only 2 main characters can Level up? That's just crazy. You get every party members from the previous game, but they can passed through lvl 50. I don't know why, but they are capped at 50. While Emil, Marta & the monsters can go through all the way till 99. Also the plot of catching monsters and using them in battle with only 2 main characters, smells a lil bit like FFXIII-2 to me. Maybe FF took that system from this game. Totally useless. The Verdict: I'm sorry to say, this game might be one of the worst Tales of i ever played. The plot actually isn't that bad, but the gameplay system & unlovable main characters makes the game even worst. While you get to see the conclusions to the symphonia chronicles, i still think that this game is just unnecessary. 6/10 from me.

Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance7
Jun 30, 2014
Finished this game just a moment ago. The story takes place immediately after the ending of Kingdom Hearts 2. Sora and Riku was called by Master Yen Sid to take the Mark of Mastery exam. By taking that exam, i can prove that they are a true Keyblade Master. Plus point: - Finally we get to play as Riku! As we know Riku was being possessed by Xehanort since the 1st game, and by the end of the 2nd game. Sora was able to save Riku from the darkness. So, Riku's story feels really fresh, since it's his first time to fight as "The Good Guys". - New flow system and reality shift. This makes the battle more interesting, although at first you'll find it difficult to control your characters with the flowmotion, but you'll get used to it. While the reality shift system utilized the 3DS function, making the battle more interesting. - Quick recap to ALL of the Kingdom Hearts series. There are quick recap for every story previous Kingdom Hearts series, including the Birth by Sleep. Although it won't help you to understand the story completely, at least you will understand the referance. Minus point: - This game is totally a side story kind of things. Well, 18 hours of gameplay is really short. So basically this is just a game to connect the dot between KH 2 & 3. - The new drop system is really annoying. In this game, you'll play as BOTH Sora & Riku, and you will change when the drop gauge ran out. Basically it's super annoying when you drop while fighting a boss, because when you return as that character, you'll have to fight the boss from the beginning again, back on Full Health. ****. - The plot twist is just crazy. I can't even follow it anymore. Since when did the game became this confusing? Although i must admit, i already forgot the story of KH 1 & 2. So yeah, this game leaves me with a lot of questions mark. Either it's too deep, or just annoying plot twist. The verdict: KH 3D is a fun game to play. Although it's just some kinda side story, we got to see Riku's in action. Actually this game is more Riku than Sora. Also the world is still as beautiful as ever, especially the world of the sorcery, Totally brings back my childhood memories. The game is fun but don't expect too much from it.
