Being a fan of the action RPG genre myself (I think that is how this type of game is defined) I got surprised about how well the game was made. The characters, being designed by Masakazu Katsura brings some nostalgic tones to the game. The background music that takes you back to Bayonetta (same developer so kind of an overstatement) and the story and the play dynamics are quite enjoyable. There are some quest that are kind of repetitive and annoying (sometimes) but usually these games have this kind of quest (to get some skills and accomplishments) but overall is a pretty solid game.

Must say, this is one of the best games this year have to offer. When playing, you get very involved with each character feelings after being struck with many horrors and being able to see how they confront them while being able to maintain sanity is something unique. This is something that the developers accomplish very well. And lets not forget about the animation, those sceneries, wrapped with an amazing OST. This game is worth playing.

I believe this game is an introduction to a new format of RPG that keeps the classic and nostalgic tones of the RPGs from the 80~90 while introducing new features to couple with the new generation games. The story have a good core and I can really see me playing this for a while. The fighting mechanics perhaps is a bit slow (if you want to compare it to RPGs that were doing it that way for a while), but personally I still think is an interesting approach. A lot of people may say that I am Setsuna was better, but I suggest not to compare it and you will be able to enjoy it very much.
