Attack of the Killer Donuts8
Nov 30, 2017
If you’re a fan of movies like Rubber that satirize entire genres or film itself, then you’ll be in love with Attack of the Killer Doughnuts. Like Rubber, Attack of the Killer Doughnuts is endlessly absurd and goes through a lot of trouble to make fun of every single aspect of bad horror movies from the stereotypical characters, the easy to guess plotline, and even the special effects that are so cheesy you may be lactose intolerant by the end of the film. The movie is definitely funny for its ability to masterfully build an entire story out of the flaws from horror movies. You could see the movie and instantly recognize the parallels to other cliche monster movies that just end up trying too hard to be serious. In short, Attack of the Killer Doughnuts does everything wrong and it feels oh so right.

Bad Blood: The Movie8
Oct 24, 2017
Bad Blood is the new age monster movie I never knew I wanted. It features Victoria (Maria Mallory), the most unlucky girl in the world, who is attacked and infected with were-frog syndrome. Her transformation is a feat of costume design with the monster looking so real you want to look away from it in horror. Likewise, the special effects department is on their A-game with plenty of gross out blood splattered moments that made me feel like I should be carrying an umbrella. It’s my new go to movie for my Halloween party.

Big Bear8
Sep 27, 2017
Big Bear is a brash, bold blast. It has all of the comedic sensibilities of movies like the Hangover and the out-of-nowhere emotional moments of Madea. It’s the perfect blend of comedy and drama that leaves you with plenty of quirky knee slapping scenes and tear jerking reality. The pacing of the movie is so quick you breeze through the 87 minute run time without realizing it. In fact, as soon as the movie ended, I was hungry for more of the wacky antics with Joe’s dumb drinking buddies. The movie takes advantage of its location in the sunny California mountains of Big Bear Lake with plenty of pastoral shots that make you take in the majesty of the scenery. From the wild antics to the beautiful scenery, you’ll be enjoying Big Bear from cover to cover.
