Not only does this latest patch remove content and options, it slows it down to a snails pace. Sprinkled with a bunch of unnecessary tedium. With almost 900 hours in this game, I can tell you that this patch is the worst thing they've done with Stellaris. There are a few interesting bonuses, Titans, planet killers, etc... But we had those through mods before. So all this new patch does is slow it down a HUGE amount and it removes a few things. The only real positive is the new border colors are much MUCH better.

Pros: Game is pretty. Cons: Probably the slowest MOBA I've played. Players spend more time returning back to base to heal and regen mana than they do actually fighting. Games running over 1 hour long is not uncommon. Game balance is also really bad. Like other MOBAs, characters are ranked in tiers. Problem with Paragon is that the differences in tiers are extreme. Melee characters are usually at a huge disadvantage compared to ranged characters. Uses old/outdated drafting system for casual games. Just want to play a character you want? Hope you enjoy waiting, because someone will probably pick your character and you'll have to wait for the next game to play your character. Hoping you're lucky of course. I'd understand this system for ranked gameplay, but for casual games, let people pick their characters BEFORE you match them up. AI is just bad. Everywhere the AI designer completely failed. Towers and creeps uses the archaic AI system of other older MOBAs like Dota. But it feels a lot more random. The character AI is also awful. An easy can win can he had just by pushing the right lane because the AI ignores it almost completely. Card system. The card system is a give and take. My biggest complaint against it is that games usually don't reward card XP (the "gold" currency used to purchase the cards) fast enough. This is probably to make games last longer, but games already last waay too long so probably just another bad choice by the designers.

Game is too linear and lacks a lot of options. The game is extremely linear, the ONLY thing you do in the game is fight (you go from one fight to another) and it's a PC game that does not allow for rolling saves. How "good" you are at the game is really based purely on luck. If you are lucky, you'll hit a bunch of weak enemies and you'll be able to roll through to the end of the game. If you are unlucky you'll die in the 2nd fight.

Looks like the developers are taking this once beloved game and turning it into Call of Duty with towers. the towers are practically useless. The deal so little damage that there is little point in building them. Basically buy this if you enjoy FPSs and shooting things that run in a line.
