I found this game immensely fun, despite there being essentially zero gameplay. The design was what first caught my eye - the fish are adorably simple yet sufficiently detailed, which I found greatly pleasing to the eyne. The game starts slow - money-making is a slog during the early hours, but that works in its favour; I had plenty of time to get acquainted with all the different fish, and I quickly found my favourites, some of whom I kept in my tank ever since. However, as the game picks up and the money rolls in, the game becomes a cycle of buying heaps of fish and mercilessly selling all that were not amongst the rarest of the rares. This was not a negative for me - quite the opposite. I love collecting and completing in video games, and the glee I felt when finally finding that delicious rare fish was more than worth the time spent mindlessly opening packs. In the endgame, when the vast majority of fish are already unlocked and unloaded, I once again get to enjoy the simple jollity of looking through all the fish I have unlocked and selecting those fitting my aesthetics quota. Just like that, the game returns to its beginnings. What a joyous experience!

Deliciously simple and fun for a group of friends - preferably 4, though I have had no shortage of fun with 3 as well. Though I dipped my little toes into custom user-created levels, I found the base concept of creating and completing my own obstacle course with my pals the cream of the crop. Hilarious fun!

Truth be told, there is frankly very little to do with the famous game of chess for which this game declares itself. One may win in a rousing, dominating victory while hardly being skilled in the game of chess at all, sporting only some shooter-game knowhow. However, looking past the crude design, music, and game in general, this is a blast and a half when you face off against a friend. There will be no shortage of hoots and hollers as you scarper around the room as an all-powerful killer queen tails close behind, machine gun blazing. Not a great game, but definitely some great fun.

Tragically I was not able to grasp the overwhelming acclaim that this game has received from every corner of the Interweb. I cannot deny that it is a simple, charming, charmingly simple game, but I was not able to derive that fabled obsessive infatuation all have told about. Days are short yet things move slow; perhaps it is my history of indulging in fast-pace min-maxxing games that imbues me with anxiety where others feel relaxation. I loathe to loathe, but I fear I cannot raise my rating any higher. Perhaps in another life, I may fathom the universal appeal - a universe I sadly do not exist in.

This is every bit the masterpiece it is hyped up to be. Unparalleled soundtrack, visual design, and story come together to concoct a true jewel amongst pebbles. A queen amongst men. The pinnacle; the peak, even for one as late to the party as I, only purchasing the game a decade after its release and hype. Nevertheless, this game is and will remain a timeless classic for moons ahead.

What a delightful game! As a rather casual enjoyer of Rocket League, one to whom the intricacies and drama of cosmetics and ranking up are but afterthoughts buried deep within the grey matter where few dare dive, I seldom find myself having any a time but that of a whale. That is to say, I like playing the game. Of course, the game, its players, and its developer team are not without flaws, but a casual player of the likes of I simply focus on the joy of the craft. Or, more succinctly, the game. Speaking of whom, I am ashamed to declare that I have just lost the Game.

There is little to say about this game that hasn't been declared already. A constant through highs and lows, my life has, since its meek beginnings, been intertwined with this ambrosial delight **** experience. Some days I find myself creating gadgets and tools out of various items I find laying about, likening myself to the titular character. This game is an essential toe-dipper for any a gamer or otherwise. For what is a man; what has he got? If not Minecraft, then he has naught.

Minecraft: Pocket Edition

What great fun Minecraft: Pocket Edition is! This was the only format in which I could play Minecraft for many years before I finally made the hop over to Bedrock Edition after I got a decent laptop, and they were many years I think back to fondly and with nostalgia. Yes, combat on MCPE is rather brutish and awful, but that was not an issue for me, as I simply avoided the pastime altogether. The great catch of Minecraft is how it allows one to play however one wishes to - personally I spent most my days lounging about in a modest survival world with a few pals. I recall the excitement of bringing my iPad on sleepovers, knowing we could play multiplayer long into the night past an acceptable threshold. One simply cannot bring along one's entire PC setup - that is one flaw of Java Edition, along with how convoluted the process for setting up a simple multiplayer world must be. Although I am long past my PE days, they were certainly amongst the best.

After getting hooked on the 2008 classic, I decided to download the real deal to see what all the hullabaloo was about. I found it equally as addicting initially and quickly purchased the full access for a hefty sum, but sadly I never reached the same degree of fixation as I had so naturally fallen into with Nations Forever. I ponder of the reason - perhaps it is precisely that this game offers so much more than that that the charm was lost on me. Nations Forever was one of few games I genuinely enjoyed playing singleplayer, grinding maps indefatigably for the next medal. TM2020 simply has too much to offer that it inundates and overwhelms that singleplayer charm. All in all though, I still quite enjoy the game, despite it personally being a far cry from the 2008 version.

Incredible timeless game that one can pick up in the big '25 and still have a blast with (like this guy did). There is so much content at one's fingertips that you'd need to be a member of the subphylum Myriapoda to have enough fingers to handle it all. Plus, it runs smoother than an infant's buttock on even the most worthless of setups! In my time spent playing this game alone, I went from a know-nothing noob to an obsessed grinder tirelessly hunting each map for that sweet sweet ultimate medallion of my efforts.

A collection of rather adorable stages that leaves one desiring for more. The meek official levels themselves are fine, but Robert Topert generously offers the 8 year olds who cannot convince their strict guardians to purchase a two dollar game a peek into the outside world. The levels that could only be viewed on YouTube are now at one's fingertips with the ability to play a handful of online levels - a handful that was more than plenty to fill my younger self with wonder until I was a bloated balloon of enthrallment. I recall fondly a 4 or 5 star level named Circus, which I practiced over and over but could never complete, as it lagged my sad little pathetic iPad with 16GB of storage beyond hope of responding to my fat stubby thumb's inputs.

What a game this was. At the time of release, all the silly young reviewer with his pea-sized brain was thinking was how cool it was that his favourite DanTDM's intro made an appearance. However, now looking back, what a crazy game this was. Barely after 2.1 was released, we get hit with three new levels with gameplay gimmicks and visual effects unimaginable. Although it would be another many arid moons before the full update was graciously poured into our crusty, thirsty throats, this game kept us quenched and satiated during the arduous wait. What a game this was!

The first two songs aren't exactly revolutionary, but the third more than makes up for it. I still catch myself humming that soulful tune years after the last time I touched this game. What a great choice by Mr. Toplington to select such a tasteful ditty. That being said, there is hardly more than a speck of content in this game.

This is a game that you won't enjoy if you take it too seriously, as stupid things out of your control will inevitably come to pass. If you come into the experience expecting ridiculousness, however, you will have a blast. Get a good buddy to play with and laugh off all the dumb stuff. This game is a mess but I love it.

As I approach 7000 hours of playtime, I feel it is adequate to declare this is perhaps up there as my favourite game of all which I have played. I have been entertained by this silly one-button game to an unfathomably disproportionate degree for years past and many to come. There is quality content for anyone from the noobiest of the noobish noobs to the apotheosis of gamerkind. In terms of bang for one's buck and expectation, I don't think any other game comes close.
