The new Trackmania builds itself on the best chapter of the franchise, laying the foundations for the future of the series.

After almost twenty years, the Trackmania formula remains brilliant. The game is fresh, fun and incredibly addictive, only partially thwarted by the seasonal release of the content.

Trackmania excels at everything fans fell in love with years ago: a true race with dozens of bizarre tracks and high speeds. The game unfortunately comes with a disclaimer: the different subscriptions, menus and leaderboards are very confusing. That is especially bad for new players, while Trackmania is such a good idea on paper.

The underlying principle is indestructible, but compared to its predecessors, the F2P restart disappoints with a lack of content and improvements.

The new Trackmania tries to merge E-Sport with the fun factor that all parts of the franchise contain. However, that doesn’t work out pretty well. On the other hand, it still has the strength of the predecessors: Easy to learn, but enough depth for pros. In addition, thanks to the free2play model every interested driver can give it a free shot.

Trackmania is a nice entry into the racing genre that provides a free version, along with paid versions that offer more content. The simple, fast-paced gameplay and official tracks are good, but it's best in short bursts. Official content doesn't take long to complete, so player creations are going to be important in keeping this game alive.

Apart from servers and a short campaign, the developers have not really prepared anything for the release. Most of the content of the new Trackmania is a reworking of old, and the rest is created by fans... again. In fact, Nadeo and Ubisoft only provide servers and features to meet the user's creative needs. On the other hand, this is what Trackmania has always been. However, there are still questions: how the studio will develop the game further and whether the subscription model will pay off. We haven't received any answers to them yet.

Игра мне понравилось, как минимум тем что она бесплатная, системные требование у неё низкие, а сама игра мне напомнила гонки из гта5, мне они очень нравились, и здесь что-то похожое, если как и мне, невочто играть, пробуйте смело!

After getting hooked on the 2008 classic, I decided to download the real deal to see what all the hullabaloo was about. I found it equally as addicting initially and quickly purchased the full access for a hefty sum, but sadly I never reached the same degree of fixation as I had so naturally fallen into with Nations Forever. I ponder of the reason - perhaps it is precisely that this game offers so much more than that that the charm was lost on me. Nations Forever was one of few games I genuinely enjoyed playing singleplayer, grinding maps indefatigably for the next medal. TM2020 simply has too much to offer that it inundates and overwhelms that singleplayer charm. All in all though, I still quite enjoy the game, despite it personally being a far cry from the 2008 version.

Trackmania mindig arról szólt hogy autóval menj jobb időket, de ez az Trackmania (2020) jó játék lett és szórakoztató, de ez se lett a legjobb játék, kezdjük is hogy miért? 1. Ubisoft és Nadeo döntsétek már el hogy ezt a játékot vagy teljesen ingyen akarjátok kiadni vagy fizetni érte nem pedig előfizetésekért pl fizessél ki mert akarsz chaten írni vagy pálya szerkesztésnél ez volt a leghülyébb őtlet amit láttam Ubisoft Nadeo 2. I've played 600 hours on this game since its release and about 1000 hours on TMNF. The paywall system is trash and club system useless. The ice and plastic surfaces were very unpleasant to play on. These additions make the game more difficult than its predecessors. But i liked the for what it is good for: road + dirt surfaces. In summer 2024, new cars were added to the game. These cars are frustrating to drive, every joystick movements can slow down your car (impossible to play on keyboard and difficult on gamepad without actionkey/macro). These cars turned my "mind emptying" sessions into nightmares. So, i uninstalled this game. TrackMania has lost everything that made TMNF/TM2 good: simplicity. The subscription system forces developers to add content even if it makes the game unpleasant to play.

Look at my review for TMNF to see what I liked about that game, and now look at this game. No surprise I am giving it this low a score due to the paywall thing. Otherwise a fine game.
