The biggest issue with this game is its performance. The new systems are fine (if a bit unneeded, they basically just tacked extra zeros on everything). The default "quality" mode that the Switch defaults to looks great, but has framerates that struggle in the single digits. Changing it to performance mode fixes this, but makes the game so ugly (extremely lower resolution that is then upscaled in a janky temporal way) that its unplayable. The balanced option is the best bet, but even then the framerate still has lows in the 10s. Pass until at least a few patches or wait for the PS4 version.

Game would be solid if it wasn't for the awful card game. Best part is, you HAVE to play it in order to unlock a class.

I hate to be so harsh on this game, but everything is just a miss here. The original game had a compelling story, an interesting setting, and a in depth cast. They basically threw everything out the window for the sequel. The first game had a wonderful bonding between Joel and Ellie, but apparently that was too good so they immediately chuck that out the window and replace it with a boring revenge tale that does not feel flushed out. The combat and gameplay are identical to the original, so they couldn't even be bothered to improve that. Its a convoluted mess that's hard to follow, and just inferior to the original game in every conceivable way. This feels less like a sequel and more like a college kid's fan game. It's also incredibly short, I've already beaten it. Not worth 60$ as it sits.

Runs like garbage on the switch. The balancing of fights is so chaotic its like they threw darts at a dartboard to decide how difficult to make each fight. Short, not worth the money. Stay far away, this is one of the worst games on the switch.

This dev has completely lost their mind and only cares about pinching their fans for every dime they can, This game went from decent to literally the worst game on earth. STAY FAR AWAY!

This is one of the buggiest, most imbalanced RPGs ever made. The starting dungeon has monsters that can 1 shot your entire party before you can even react, and half the time the game goes to auto save it corrupts your data. Save your money and avoid this game at all costs.

A buggy, mediocre mess. Obsidian is notorious for releasing their games 6 months before up to snuff, and this game is no different (remember new vegas on release date? give me a break). The gameplay is boring, the combat is basically final fantasy 1 with quick time events, and for a 2d game, the performance is a joke. Even as a huge south park fan, I had a hard time enjoying this poor excuse ****. Go back and play the ps1 south park games if you need a fix, not this piece of crap.

This game is the true successor to Diablo 2. Dark, gritty graphics, old school action, and a phenomenal skill and talent system make this game miles ahead of its competition. Its even free to play! Whats not to love?

Bad game, bad practices. Its one thing to make a bad game, its another to file takedown claims against people who criticize the game, and force employees to write good reviews on aggregate sites. This is everything that is wrong with the industry. Show this sad excuse for a studio that gamers do not put up with this kind of behavior by hitting their wallets.

This game is unplayable. You are placed in a queue for an unspecified wait (mine was almost an HOUR), only to start building and get disconnected due to the unstable servers. This is unacceptable. Paying good money for a game to go through this many hoops, and EA wonders why Spore was so widely pirated. STAY FAR AWAY.

One of the worst RPGs ever made, The combat is broken, the quest system makes grinding wow seem entertaining, the voice acting is absolute **** This game could be used to teach a class on how NOT to make a JRPG. Its only sole redeeming feature is it is indeed not as bad as is predecessor, which is in my opinion one of the worst games ever made. If thats all IF wanted to do, they succeeded. I guess this is what should be expected from the company that created the monumentally terrible X-Edge.
