I love Harry Potter and Star Trek but this wasn’t good at all. The annoying students are not learning anything useful at the Academy and the teachers are buffoons. Emphasising how special these students are seems to be the only job the Academy is good at. These are the best and the brightest? All this coupled with lame jokes, 21st century slang and bathroom humour makes this show really obnoxious. I didn’t even finish the season. Between the dystopian nonsense of Picard, the emotional crap of Discovery, the goofiness of a Las Vegas style Strange New Worlds and the general awfulness of Section 31, I wonder what it takes these days to end a contract with this production company.

Oof! Season mostly was a female power fantasy. The males are eiither evil or stupid, vain, sloppy, sexist or bad at their jobs. Nearly every argument between the sexes was won by a female. i really loved the show so far but this was too much. The male antagonists were all shot, but not the female, no way. The dimwitted mandolk is lost but the princess can be saved! I hope next season there’s a balance again.
