Diablo III: Eternal Collection

Back in the day, I loved playing Diablo I and II, but after +50 hours playing Diablo III: Eternal Collection, it has been one of the most disapointment experiences ever. Although you can increase the difficulty, there's no interesting progression in the gameplay. Enemies are too easy to kill, and there are too many of them. Too many things happening on the screen but they are at most, barely enjoyable.

Not my kind of story, but it's truly a great RPG with a huge world to explore. Pretty much like in Skyrim, the amount of mini missions from NPCs can be a little bit overwhelming, but it's really fun to play. For me it was 154 hours of gameplay. I'm not sure why this game has a so low user score. Apparently was not good enough for many Fallout fans. I'm gonna try New Vegas for sure and compare :)

Both in "Kingdom: Classic" and "Kingdom: New Lands": loved the graphics, soundtrack and unique simplicity of its game mechanics. Easy and fun to play, but gives you so many hours of entertainment.

One of the bests RPGs I've played recently. Amazing storyline, great characters, soundtrack and atmospheric scenarios as well as a very interesting RPG/leveling system. I'm not a big fan of its fights mechanics, but you get accustomed after a few rounds. I happily invested 45 hours of gameplay to finish it. Would totally pay for a Vampyr sequel :)

One of the most amazing adventure story choice-based games I've ever played. It doesn't matter if you are not too much into this kind of teenagers story background plots, you'll start loving the characters after just a few minutes and it will absolutely capture your imagination with its impressive atmospheric graphics and music. Truly, an interactive experience to enjoy. All thumbs up.

Yes, I've read the reviews. Yes, I know it's been 13 years since this game was launched... but, I simply was not prepared enough for a disappointment like this. My problem with this game are not it's graphics or visuals effects (I didn't came here looking for that) but the whole game mechanics... and I think that has nothing to do with the launching date. For the past 7 hours I've been trying, really hard, to play this game and the only thing I feel is frustration. For what I can see, the story seems pretty decent and attractive, but the absurdly hard to play combat system and controls, along with the lack any of help to understand how to do the most basic of things (from grabing an object on the floor, to trading, read a map or equip weapons) just prevents me to get into the story. Whenever I try to accomplish a small mission, I get killed again and again by the most small and dumb creatures just because of the difficult combat mechanics: it's not about the keyboard (you can just easily change it in order to use WASD instead of the default keypad arrows setting) but the complex use of the keyboard to hit, and above all that: the inability of the character to keep the target centered. Once I got somehow somehow accustomed to this way to manage the keyboard, then I got into the world map: I've been running up and down the whole world trying to get to an specific point, but it seems impossible: I just can't remember the way I got there and now all possible roads appear to be full of really hard to kill beasts and enemies. Then, it's starting to get dark... and there's nothing you can do to put your character to sleep in the wilderness, so you just basically have to stand up there, waiting for the sunrise to come. I really don't understand how this game has so many high reviews. I respect the people that think that it's the best RPG they've ever played and frankly the story seems really nice. Don't hate me, I just can't get into it. One last piece of advice: I'm running this game on a Windows7 64 machine. The only way I managed to even start the game without crashing, was changing the **** file to run in Windows XP compatibility mode.

Dragon Age: Origins

Dragon Age: Origins (along with Diablo I & II, and Skyrim) is one of my favourites RPG of all times. Unlike some others RPG, it can be played again and again, with completely different stories (I think there's a total of 6 main stories, each one offering approximately 40h of gameplay), depending on the character (race, class and background) that you choose. This is an absolutely amazing achievement that gives you so many hours of entertainment, with very diifferent and rich scripts in each story. One of my favourite features is the complex, yet simple, strategy and tactis mechanics, where you can pause the game, give a set of orders to your individual characters of the party, and then un-pause it to follow up the action, changing from above the shoulder to top camera as you like. I give this game a solid 10.

Dear Esther is one of the most beautifully atmospheric experiences you may ever play. Due to its lack of game mechanics, you are free to walk through a desolated island, discovering an epistolary, non-linear story. Although it may sound absurd for a gamer, Dear Esther is not about objects to grab, paths to jump, characters to interact with or puzzles to explictly solve. From the small details that build the landscapes to the nostalgic soundtrack and impressive sounds ambience of solitude, I garantee you hours of tranquil and peaceful wandering. More than a game, it's some kind of an interactive cinematic and very personal experience to dive into.

This is really a beautiful game with great graphics, music, sound effects, physics and puzzles, but at the end it didn't catch me. There's nothing wrong about the game itself, I guess the story or the characters are too childish for my taste. Other than that, I enjoyed the whole 17 hours of playgame (according to Steam), which is much more than I thought a game like this it will take to finish. Yes, I would recommend it.

FEZ is one of the best indie games of all times, from the graphics to the mechanics, characters, script and specially the music (which is now a part of my daily commute routine)... each one of its details has been carefully developed, creating a fun and absolutely enjoyable game that will give you hours of entertainment. Most of the game mechanics are very intuitive, and the 2D/3D logic it's absolutely beautiful and nostalgic. The only downside is that it could be pretty hard to decipher some puzzles: not so easy to understand the meaning of the glyphs, but that's just a part of the game and you can even play it all without solving those puzzles (of course, you can easily find some cheat sheets to help a little bit). I'd love to play a FEZ 2
