Disappointing is the word that comes to mind for this. I think they just didn't know what to do to pad out the imprisoning war and it shows. Too many characters that get introduced too fast and don't give you enough time to get invested in them. Lot's of the battle feels like it's just "think **** wartime scenario and thow it in". Even the new construct on the box is pretty forgettable. The gameplay was fun, I loved zelda's moves and the linked attacks were fun to see what kinds of combinations you could get. They threw in a new type of enemy thats never appeared before and makes no sense for expsting in the game. They really polished up the battle style, but the story/characters make it overall a really forgettable game, which **** because I love the series overall and the Warriors games.

Played this after GoA and absolutely loved it. It gave me a lot of nostalgia for PS2 era JRPGs like .Hack. really enjoyed it.

Honestly there isn't anything I can complain about other than not being able to date one of the NPCs. First visit to the series but the adventuring is really fun, the dating SIM and range of characters is really good, and the farming is viscerally **** setting is absolutely stunning, art style and graphics and beautiful, character designs are stunning and the story is enjoyable. Couldn't have wished for a better day 1 switch 2 game and it's probably my most memorable game this year.
