The game spits on everything the first game established. The heartache, the pain, going through Joels journey and ultimately finding a reason to continue, it was all pointless. I play games for storylines, not for cheap shock value that spits on fans.

Let's get this out of the way right now: Spyro Reignited is a must own game for fans of the original trilogy, lovers of platformers and new gamers who never got to experience Spyro! The game is faithful to the original source, the soundtracks are all the same great and loved songs. The game plays smooth with no issues that I have encountered and the graphics are what you would want to see, Spyro completely up to date. Don't waste time thinking about it, just go buy this game.

Pokemon Trading Card Game Online

The game is fun and plays as expected. It is literally the trading card game - online. While it does have it's moments in battle when you crush a player with a lesser hand or deck than you have, it also becomes rather dull when you realize that most games already have winners chosen from the start. I have seen it happen countless times where either myself or the player against me will not draw any energy cards at all and be forced to sit idly by while getting whopped on or to just hit the concede button. This is especially true for the way OP decks like Mach Strike, where all you need realistically is one Gible and a energy card to evolve into Garchamp and the pain is even worse if you or your opponent has not drawn any energy cards to fight back. So while every now and then you will get the rare experience of a well balanced hand on both players ends', most of the time is spent just hoping you will pull an energy card and a worthwhile Pokemon and also hoping your opponent will too. Unless you are a fan of easy wins and frustrating losses, or a die hard Pokemon TCG fan, you honestly probably will not be as amused by the balance issues the game suffers from. While it can be argued the game is all luck of the draw, the IRL Pokemon TCG matches are typically fairly spot on and balanced, leaving one to wonder if the game suffers from a poor and underdeveloped algorithm or if that "luck of the draw" and lady luck just really, really dislike players online more often than not.

This game really let me down, from the pretty boring campaign they made for it to the fact that you cannot use the motion controls while playing the campaign or regular matches. I am not sure what Nintendo was thinking by making the motion controls only for the special mode, but it was a terrible decision on their behalf. I got this game as a gift and I was excited to start swinging and do something active with my Switch, but after playing for a bit it became clear Nintendo did not deliver on what they knew everyone would buy this game for. The motion controls are the biggest let down I have gone through since owning my Switch. Nintendo, you can do better.

Arena of Valor

moba games are a tough call, I was excited to see this game was free on the Switch and decided to download it. I have always been a big fan of moba games in general, from the early days of Dota as a custom game on Warcraft 3 to the latest true to life Dota 2 stand alone. They are very fun genres but often many are done improperly. I am pleased to say that Arena of Valor delivers on the Switch. Being a free game is already nice, but the fact that it plays well and has good controls with likable heroes is a big plus. Obviously there are in game purchases to unlock more heroes the easy way or there is the traditional grind. Many of the heroes take hours of game play to unlock so unless you really like playing as the free to play characters in rotation, you will probably drop a little coin on this like I did to get a couple characters under your belt. As for the game play, it is your traditional moba which is a big win for us old school moba lovers. You have three lanes and a few different modes, 5v5, 3v3, 1v1 and ranked which you cannot unlock until you have unlocked enough heroes to qualify for ranked matches. The way you purchase items is a bit different, you can set up a set list for each character and purchase those items while on the map, or you can manually purchase items as you go. The customized approach is much better and helps you to stay on the battlefield longer. Also unlike most moba games, you do not have to physically go to the store in game, you can purchase the items and they're automatically added to your inventory and you receive the benefits then and there. Like any good moba, your team matters a lot, yes there are carries but you absolutely want to play with friends willing to cooperate if possible. The game offers in game chat and quick responses for warning teammates or calling out a plan etc. The graphics are not the greatest but I do not know anyone that plays moba games for their shine. All in all, if you have a switch and want to play a good moba on your TV or in your hands, this game is a must have.

As a long time fan of the Mega Man series, I was very excited for the announcement of this game. I was also very nervous it would be trash. I am happy to review that this game lives up to the Mega Man legacy in every way possible. The game play is fun and challenging, it looks gorgeous and sounds great. There are no glitches in this game that I have yet to come across. This game is a must own for fans of the series old and new. If you like Mega Man, you will be very pleased with the purchase of this game.

I saw this game on the on-line store, I have always liked Mech games and decided for twenty bucks, maybe it'll be good. Well, here's my review. The game is basically a dungeon explorer, I mean that in the sense of very linear game play. You don't get much freedom at all in where you go, also, it plays like many mobile games do. To attack you can tap A all you want but it's pointless, as you can just hold A and your mech attacks everything in sight. The design of the mechs are decent though, and there are abilities that make you deal more damage. The story is bland, very bland and not engaging at all. The idea is you pick a team of three mechs and switch out one at a time during battle to repair(heal). It's an okay game for anyone who really, really, really loves mechs. Aside from that, you can probably get the same satisfaction from something off your phone or tablets mobile store for free.
