This show caught me off guard because I saw by accident on Hulu. I find a lot programs that are "funny" not so funny at all. Humor is very personal and so I stumbled across this show I was so excited!! I understand it and it speaks my language of humor very well. Needless to say, as far as I am concerned this is a brilliantly, hilariously well written and acted show. I enjoyed every second of each episode and sincerely hungry for more after the last episode. Who would have thought the writers behind the show are the 2 main characters and they are actual friends?! This explains the incredible chemistry that is translated. Cannot wait for season 2.

Masters of Sex: Season 1

I give this show a 10 after the first episode. I went into this show knowing about Masters & Johnson and wondering how it would be handled well, to my surprise it was brilliant. At least the pilot episode. It caught me immediately and kept my interest. The acting, the dialogue/writing is so intentional that it becomes an even richer experience for me. The subject of sex for these pioneers is NOT a joke or a game but rather a real interest in the understanding of human sexuality. The respect in his work along with his passion for science and the sexual experience makes Masters worthy of respect, truly. I look forward to this show and to the whole journey of understanding how these two people changed the way we look our sex, sensuality, and sexuality and how we operate in these arenas as human beings. I cannot leave without saying that Johnson (Virginia) is a powerhouse--her intensity and intelligence is something to behold!!

This show has caught me off guard--completely. The pilot episode was not a WOW factor but when Damon Wayans left and his replacement stepped in things felt more natural and in sync. The whole gang is just hilarious. The acting, the writing and the comedic timing is pitch perfect. Its warm, funny, and Jess is so deliciously adorable---she can wear on you but she her quirkiness and unique individuality is refreshing and charming. I am not easy going when it comes to comedy but this show has stole my attention completely. This show IS the best, for me that is for so many reasons but mostly because it speaks to me. The language of Jess and her very entertaining yet endearing roommates is familiar to me. Kudos to the writers of this show!!!!

I had a tough time watching this show largely because I have seen the original version. I made two attempts and could not get through it. It literally follows the original to a T and I found that really amazing. I am however not to sure of what score to give this show (even though I have given it a 5) because I seem more connected to the original. It is very hard to watch an original and have it take an enormous hold over you to now watch a remake and not be pulled in at all. I do respect what people are saying but my heart is with the original series Bron/Broen and that is where its stays.

Mad Men: Season 6

I am probably ruining the popularity flow here but I am not feeling Mad Men as much as had in the past 5 seasons. I have been a devoted fan up until the start of season 6. I am getting a little tired, as someone else wrote here, "of the Mad Men formula". I think the demise of my interests also stems from the ability to feel like the story line is going somewhere. I think this is the end of Mad Men for me and I must say with great sadness, "It has been a really great ride".

I have to be honest about this 7 rating in that initially with the first episode I felt it was a 5 but gradually it slowly started to peak my interest more and more and thus arriving at this rate of 7. I am however 3 episode away from the season finale so I look forward to see how I end up feeling at the end. By the way, Thandie is hardcore in this show. No nice nice no bubble gum personality AT ALL which is one of the reason why I am intrigued with her performance. She is tough cop when she needs to be and she really brings it. The nudity/sex is really as upfront as you can get and it certainly supersedes ANY premium cable channels like Showtime or HBO. It makes them tame looking in comparison.

I have to confess I tuned into this show only for Mads Mikkelsen. I saw the first episode and felt it was okay but I am slowly getting into it especially with the end of episode 6. Well, that's when thing started getting really interesting. My Mads is straight up sick in the head and I'm loving it truly loving it. The madness, the graphic nature of the crimes, the deception and subterfuge with Hannibal is just brilliant. I am really excited to see where this show takes us because I will be front and center--wide eyed and all wanting and anticipating the next sick and twisted turn. Oh yeah the other characters are good too especially the profiler (Hugh Dancy). He brings such a raw and graphic intensity especially when he explores the mind of each killer. He is definitely an interesting and most vulnerable of all the characters because of his own frailty/fragility.

This is a excellent in every way. Vera Farmiga nails it EVERYTIME!! This role is made for her--it fits her like a glove down to every nuance of her movements. The dynamic between mother and son (meaning Norman) is brilliantly written and acted, it is just amazing to watch the disturbing nature of how emotional abuse really takes place and form between people. This show really gets it and makes itself a true gem in the world of cheap knock off shows with way too much hype and not enough substance.

I went into this show with no expectation other than the hope of it being watchable but it WAS not even that for me. It felt uneasy to watch because I could not make sense of what it wanted to say. It just seemed to be going nowhere. Although the sister who was tall and had a disfigurement was the most intriguing of the characters.

Brilliant in the acting, writing and directing. This show is meant to be savored and pondered and experienced in a way that teaches us the nature of being vulnerable, fragile and broken by an experience, The main character does this in such a touching and moving way that you are left wanting to be witness to his changes, thoughts, movements etc. His humanity his pain is so right palpable that you want to actually witness his journey his evolution his liberation despite the obvious feelings of being alone, angry and deeply wounded by his time in jail. Just a beautifully executed show.
