This game is huge on detail and realism, the graphics are impressive but that's where it ends. there's nothing compelling about this game. WW2 games make me cringe yet this game is just bearable, I constantly wish it was more like Warcraft 3, (a bad statement I know) but sometimes you need fantasy mixed in with reality because this game is honestly just boring. Unit voices are good though and hotkey matching is great. Music is good also, campaign objectives can be quite varied but there's no presentation no drama no suspense, nothing, just a cold emotionless transcript telling you what you have to do. This game has no story plain and simple, it has no soul. I did however enjoy the strategy aspects of tank armor plating but infantry died too easily, too much realism in that regard, game units need to be balanced, this game had very little balance, tanks were the big cheese, things just seemed to be happening at random rather than by design. It feels more like a movie with just a few options on the player's part rather than an experience.

Better than AOE2 first and foremost, music: 4/5, cinematics: 4/5, UI: 4/5, Story: lol 5/5. So here's the bad part, base building is still slow, campaigns ditched base building in many missions which is good, also added more variety in objectives, the story is fun but if I constantly have to wonder what's true and what isn't, that's a problem, though it did make me curious enough to actually read the real history so that's a plus. Skirmish matches allow you to go into death match, which negates base building to some degree but cannons are so over powering. I like the feature in blitzkrieg where inanimate things aren't units but rather are things that units can take control of, in BK you can kill artillery crews and seize the cannons. You can clear out buildings and reoccupy them, features which this game sorely lacks, in BK you don't build structures or train armies, that's ridiculous, you just call for reinforcements or better yet in the Fields of thunder expansion you have to wait for reinforcements to arrive. Lots of features in this game allow you to save time, like home city cards, but if you're facing an enemy with better cards you're done for.

I always hated AOE2 let's just be clear, It takes too damn long to do anything, but time flies when you're playing, so I either decide I'm going to be productive today or I'm going to play AOE. The models or OK I guess but The animations are horrendous, if this was 1997 I'd understand, but 1999? Come on, it has 8 directional sprites and most of them don't load properly. units are stupidly slow and don't have alternate speeds, there's no time skip button or end turn. All factions are almost identical with only tiny differences. Here are the upsides: the music is good, though a bit too noisy, it needs to be ambient and not distracting. Campaigns stories are interesting but the missions are boring and have you doing the exact same thing over and over, if they could subtract base building it'd be more fun Desu. The worst part of this game is no other historical RTS game has really beaten it, don't even get me started on Total War.

THIS, this is the best Halo game, and that's not even nostalgia talking, it has a story which will constantly keep you engaged, you can replay it almost endlessly, voice acting is great, dialogue is believable and earnest, gameplay is almost flawless, its art style continues to be studied by gaming historians today, sometimes when i play Reach or Halo 2 it just doesnt feel right. The Xbone version is better though.

Better than ROC, the story is really engaging and well paced, characters have very gray morality, theyre not "le good gois who are going to save the world from le ebil bad gois", they're people caught in predicaments. Every character, even the no name archer or grunt has so much personality, they are dripping with history. Not enough cinematics, the ones that exist leave me yearning for more, the first cinematic feels like a cliffhanger that isnt properly explained in the level. Custom game is a lot better balanced than ROC, hero system is still janked, gameplay could be better, its not really " war"craft, more like Diablo with base building and autoattack, (i need muh big armies) maps are always tiny, lots of noncannon gameplay elements that are annoying like reviving heroes. Combat and movement animations are awful, every other animation is great for some reason. I'm still upset that Gary got mind ****, betrayed and then eaten by ghouls, its a very dark story behind the colorful artstyle, you do in fact play as a bad guy in most cases, or just tragedies like kaelthas or maive, W.O.W really ruined the lore, War3 was the peak of Warcraft.

I for one never liked reign of chaos, the story is slow and a chore to play, its really just one long tutorial, you get units after every few levels and get accustomed to using them, every few sequence just shows how some units joined certain factions and so on, but when you do get around to actually understanding the story its wonderful, but it has huge plotholes and missed opportunities. The artstyle is GREAT, really good stuff that only reflection can make you realize, the cinematics are flawless. The gameplay is a real step up from War2 but my God is the hero system janked. This game has a huge learning curve, better be ready to grind those how-to videos and practice over and over till you finally git gud, the enemy AI cheats in custom game, its collection rate and training time is better than yours, but with enough strategy you can win.

Its a dull second glace at God of War 1 with a story that's convoluted and not even worth following, the game is rescued only by over the top cinematic battles, then there's the repetitive combat and difficulty spikes that make it unplayable after an hour. Clearly a game with no soul, an obvious cash grab, but if I'm to be completely fair, the scenery is gorgeous and the level designs are great, the statue of Apollo is by far one of the best set of levels in gaming I've ever seen.

This game is complete garbage, all I wanted was a top down RPG to rival diablo. Reasons this is a waste of time: the intro narration is boring, long and pointless, the art style is awful, too much color in things that shouldn't even colored at all. The music is atrocious, whoever composed the score should be arrested and charged with crimes against humanity. the gameplay is some weird combination of dragon age and mobile RTS games. it has an unnecessary intro sequence where you "control" a young version of the main character, which they call "you". The story is absolutely banal, except the tower concept, that was kinda stimulating. The overall gameplay is like a mobile game or past generation PC game, definitely not something that should be coming out in 2018.

The best borderlands I've played, and that's saying something because this game is garbage. Leveling system is bad, it's just "pretty number go high" for hours on end. The story was amusing but that ending, man. It has nice concepts and features like the digistructs and gun vending machines. Character intros become boring after a bit though the cast is somewhat interesting just hate that I can't create a custom character. Music was nice, enemies were okay but respawned too much, the game is pretty derivative, better off playing fallout or halo.

Every problem which I had with BL1 is still in BL2, vehicles still don't have a min - max speed climb, they just go straight to max right off the bat, they're awful to maneuver and so on. There's really not much to do in this game but run around and shoot things, the "clean" areas are a welcome addition, but the constant respawning is so annoying. The story is awful, am I the "bad guy"? is jack the " good guy" I don't get it, are newU stations cannon or not? BL1 was good because it didn't bother with morality, you were a vault hunter, that was it. BL2's story is so weak in regards to the vault, the vault used to be special, I was hoping they would've moved away from that plotline. The "comedy" is pathetic, and it keeps getting worse as you play the game. BL1 handles comedy a lot better, it was subtle and well constructed.

Borderlands has always been a game that takes qualities of other games or movies and integrates them into it's own style, presequel however, is just copy and paste with no nuance, the low gravity is interesting but really idiotic in many places, you can fall to your death in an environment which should be zero gravity, utterly ridiculous. Everything good about this game is leftovers from BL2 (which wasn't as good as BL1 tbh)

By far the most shameless re-release I've ever seen, there's nothing of value they changed, absolutely nothing.

[Character interaction was very good and the relationship system was somewhat a good take on the Fable games] >Map sections rather than an interconnected world that the player can freely travel to >Non-existent empty places on the world map [The combat system was acceptable and quite good, nothing new but enjoyable for a few hours] >Dynamic camera glitches >Repeated faces and limited character customization [The crafting system was amazing though, can't say I've seen exactly that done elsewhere] >Copypasted rooms and poorly reedited ones >Limited variation in enemy types All in all a good game, would recommend.

My biggest gripe with this game is the unit stats, the IS-2 is what killed it for me, it simply did not have armor thicker than a Pz-V and Tiger 1. It's guns were no better either, though designed to counter the German heavy tanks, the IS-2's were slow at reloading and were often ineffective. Also, the Panther tank was not thicker or stronger than the Tiger 1, which the developers seemed to have the erroneous idea of. Nival has always been brutal in their expansions (though if you have an IQ above 100 and willpower higher than an ant you should do fine.) Scout with aricraft, lure with infantry, clear heavy guns with artillery, and always micro-manage your tanks, face them always 90° to the enemy, never linger around infantry or heavy bombardment and you should do fine. Overall I enjoyed the experience, it's as tactical as 'Fields of Thunder'.
