Anchored by a very charming performance by Samara Weaving, the Babysitter provides 80 minutes of good time.

A very enjoyable film with an amazing performance for the greatest Scream Queen of this generation, Samara Weaving.

Watchmen9
Aug 4, 2022
Watchmen offers the most raw and brutal screenplay of any comic-book movie. It's unsettling nature, gritty world and complex characters make this one of the finest movies of the genre. I also love the changed in the ending compared to it's source material.

American Psycho10
Aug 4, 2022
A rare case of a film that gets better the more it ages. American Psycho is more relevant than ever now with the incel culture on the rise. However, it's not just it's critic of capitalism and it's adoration from the incel culture that make this movie so good. The black humor is great and Bale's performance is nothing sort of brilliant. Easily his best work and he should have gotten an Oscar. It's a crime that he was not even nominated.

Eyes Wide Shut9
Aug 4, 2022
Eyes Wide Shut is not for everyone. It is a raw, psychological thriller that explores themes such as lust, jealousy and temptation. Kubrick's direction is once again flawless and Cruise is a delight to watch.

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl9
Aug 4, 2022
The best Pirates movie of all time and a decade defining swashbuckler film features memorable characters in the faces of Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann, excellent music, exciting action sequences and humor. But it's crown jewel is Johnny Depp's Jack Sparrow, one of the finest movie characters ever, before he devolved into a caricature of what made him so enjoyable.

The Shawshank Redemption6
Aug 4, 2022
A very simple, yet well executed movie that has achieved cult classic status. Personally i don't find it all that memorable, besides a couple of scenes. It is not bad by any means and it stands as one of the best adaptations of a Steven King novel but neither the music, nor the plot and characters are something worth writing home about. Above average but nothing special.

The Godfather7
Aug 4, 2022
The Godfather features some great characters in the form of Vito and Michael Corleone and an impeccable performance by Brando, but it's overlong nature and the few dynamic scenes hurt this movie. Sometimes it plays more like an very long tv episode rather than a movie.

Once Upon a Time ... in Hollywood10
Aug 4, 2022
The chemistry between DiCaprio and Pitt is the best i have seen in recent years. Both of them offer incredible performances, especially Pitt, with the relationship between Cliff and Rick being the crown jewel of the film. Masterful writing and direction by Tarantino also help elevate this film to a masterpiece.

The Departed10
Aug 4, 2022
Incredible cast, amazing plot and a terrific ending make this movie the best of 2006 and certainly one of the greatest of the 2000's. Scorcese's best movie for me. A well deserved best picture winner.

Casino Royale10
Aug 4, 2022
The movie that changed Bond forever. Casino Royale features the best Bond (Craig should have won the BAFTA) and the best bond girl in the franchise's history, while also adding a gritty, realistic tone to an otherwise campy movie franchise. The great dialogues and Bourne inspired action sequences also add to this films charm. An undeniable masterpiece.

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King10
Aug 4, 2022
The movie with the million endings that all of them were absolutely needed. The epic conclusion to the greatest journey in movie history is nothing sort of emotional and epic.

The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers10
Aug 4, 2022
The Two Towers picks up where the Fellowship of the Ring ended without ever dropping in quality. Instead, it enhances the experience of the first movie with the incredible performance of Andy Serkis as Gollum and the best battle ever put to film.

The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring10
Aug 4, 2022
The first film in the best movie franchise of all time is the definitive fantasy movie. It hits all the right marks featuring an excellent ensemble cast, impeccable cinematography, great fight sequences and beautiful music. A masterpiece.

Princess Mononoke10
Aug 4, 2022
Easily the most mature movie Miyazaki has created, Princess Mononoke is an epic without equal in the animation genre and one of the greatest fantasy films in general. The characters are surprisingly complex as are the themes of the story. The animation is top notch for the years of it's release and holds up great even now, while the music score is nothing sort of outstanding. A timeless classic for sure.

Top Gun: Maverick10
Aug 4, 2022
Top Gun:Maverick was the best cinematic experience in years. An incredible achievement thanks to the dedication of the cast and crew, this movie offers the best flying sequences ever seen. The aerial combat scenes are amazing as is Tom Cruise as Maverick, in one of his greatest roles. I highly recommend this movie for all action movie fans.
