Kingdom Hearts III10
Jan 29, 2019
As a huge fan of the series, I have enjoyed most entries. In fact, the second game is my favourite game of all time. Kingdom Hearts III is no different here. It's an enjoyable and fantastic rollercoaster of a journey that shows just how much the series has grown while still remaining true to itself. This end to the Xehanort saga was an end that did not disappoint in the slightest. Pros: - Graphics and character/movie likeness are off the charts here. From visually stunning Pixar characters to scenes like the Let It Go segment from Frozen to the eerily good looking Pirates of The Caribbean world and characters, Kingdom Hearts III truly excels at presenting these properties; much more so than it ever has previously. Accuracy in voice, animation, models, particles and effects, lighting and everything in between is absolutely phenomenal. It was a joy to see childhood favourites of mine such as Buzz and Woody and Mike and Sulley in my favourite videogame series at last. - The combat of Kingdom Hearts is my all time favourite gameplay of any game or series. This time the combat offers the most fun and amount of depth. It sticks to its roots and shoots further beyond with its new transformations, abilities, forms and keyblade leveling systems. It plays extremely well and while to some it may seem quite floaty, less quick and snappy than Kingdom Hearts II; it still keeps it quick and flashy. There's no denying the love and effort they have put in and how fresh it truly feels. The combat is certainly up there with II as the best combat in the series. - Movie story representation/continuation is amazing and top notch while including Sora and co. into the movies. Some scenes look like they were just pulled right out of the movie! - World designs are an improvement over Kingdom Hearts II which in many fans eyes felt empty and flat. There is a lot more platforming here and the world's are filled to the brim with detail and love. Each world also has it's own specific forms of gameplay included which keeps each world unqiue and fresh. They're also huge and all varied in setting. - The music and overall story and conclusion is in my opinion the best of the series. Having immense knowledge of this series and it's narrative and all the little intricate details it entails, I am completely satisfied with the road this game takes. I don't want to spoil anything but I really really really enjoyed the story and cutscenes of this game. I hope those who are also massive fans will appreciate it as much as I did... For newcomers, it's certainly going to be less enjoyable and would be fairly confusing, but they would most likely have fun with the game. Cons: - One of my favourite hub worlds from the series, Twilight Town, is back for Kingdom Hearts III. It's a beautiful world and what is present is a blast to the past... But I can't help but feel disappointed by the lack of areas this version of the world has. With only 3 recognisable sections, there is much to be desired in terms of how Twilight Town should have evolved. (atleast these areas are all now one area with no load screens!) - For as much as this is a con, it's also a pro. When you find out there's only 8 Disney World's in the game, you'd imagine how fans could be upset... It's a small number of worlds and I can't help but feel like there should be just a few more. The pro to the small number is that these worlds are receiving the benefit of attention and quality. They are a joy to play in, being the biggest and most impressive worlds in the series in more ways than one. (Movie representation, graphics, world specific gameplay elements, map size, etc.) - Not a con, but a personal complaint. WHERE IS HALLOWEEN/CHRISTMAS TOWN!? My man Jack Skellington deserved to have his world in incredible graphics and scale. In conclusion, Kingdom Hearts III is incredible. It's fun to play, beautiful to look at, mesmerising to listen to and emotional and uplifting to watch the scenes. I'm proud of the team for accomplishing such a spectacular game. Well done, Tetsuya Nomura and the rest of Square Enix and the Osaka team. The wait was worth it and I look forward to the bright future of Kingdom Hearts. Those who dislike Kingdom Hearts are truly missing out and I'm super thankful to be a fan of this series. 10/10

Detroit: Become Human10
May 25, 2018
Detroit: Become Human is an incredible work of art, featuring advanced branching stories across three likeable protagonists. The graphics, story, sound design and gameplay are all incredibly solid and this is certainly Quantic Dream's greatest effort yet, taking aspects that work from Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls and improving on them, while including new methods of play as well. I recommend it if you enjoy games like this that are interactive and heavily story based that feature consequences and different paths, such as Heavy Rain and Until Dawn, then you won't want to miss this one either.

Dead Rising 4: Frank's Big Package1
May 25, 2018
A lazy, pathetic and sorry excuse for a Dead Rising game but decent in it's own ways as a game. Removal of many of the series features let's it down including throwable items, psychopath bosses with cutscenes, lack of original Frank VA, time limit, campaign co-op and more! Along with bugs, crashes and the graphics being average at best with an unfinished look at times (but atleast it's more colourful than the 3rd game) I'm very surprised they didn't add campaign co-op with this second chance. It really shows just how much they listen to their fanbase. Add it back or it's 1/10 forever! This is definitely the worst Dead Rising game to date!

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue10
Jan 24, 2017
A fantastic compilation that features old and new adventures in the Kingdom Hearts series, featuring the 5 year old 3DS title Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance, new 5 hour+ game Birth by Sleep 0.2 and the 80 minute long movie X Back Cover. Dream Drop Distance has made its way over to the PS4 extremely well. With crisp HD visuals, 60fps and new content, the game is massively improved. It performs extremely well on PS4 and the previous touch controls for 3DS have been changed for PS4 and it all works great! The music is amazing like every other KH title! DDD HD is an excellent re-release and is definitely the main meal of this collection. One issue I have is the camera has been changed from 3DS. It isn't as close as it was before, but that's just me. Rating: 10/10 Birth By Sleep 0.2 is a great look into what we can expect from KH3. Featuring smooth and responsive combat and a new graphics style for the series, with extremely high quality detail from the particles to the shadows and lighting, the game looks absolutely incredible. The music for 0.2 is creepy and dark and is super fitting for the setting! The story will last around 3-8 hours depending on your playstyle as you travel through the dark world as Aqua and there's other content such as objectives, unlockable gear, treasure chests and a secret boss. I found it to be a good length for a prologue to KH3 but could have been slightly longer with maybe a few more areas to explore. Rating: 9.5/10 X Back Cover was an enjoyable film which is set before the events of the original Birth By Sleep title. The characters were interesting and the graphics are insanely good through the use of unreal engine 4. The voice acting was great! I really enjoyed X Back Cover! Rating: 9/10 I'm going to give this collection a 9.5/10 overall! Its a great gateway to KH3 and I think any fan of Kingdom Hearts who enjoys the stories of KH will love this entry.

Star Wars Battlefront10
May 13, 2016
Star Wars Battlefront is a great game. The visuals are stunning and the gameplay is to the point. Lots of familiar sounds, locations and characters. The game modes are fun and the maps are well crafted. EA and DICE really have captured the look and feel of the Star Wars universe. The updates the developers release each month are also very outstanding, improving balance and adding new content. If you like Star Wars, you will more than likely enjoy your time with this game.

Rocket League10

An incredible game created by incredible developers that care for quality and their fans. Psyonix have put so much effort into creating this car football sequel and have delivered exactly what fans from the community have asked for. (And more!) The visuals are colourful, over the top and impressive. Physics and gameplay are perfect and the game plays just how it should. Loads of customisation items. Literally millions of different combinations. The online is very very stable. Various ways to play with friends including up to 4 player split screen. Cross play for PC and PS4. A season mode for offline play. Replay editor which also acts as a photo mode is a very welcome feature. Future support for the game confirmed, including DLC and free stadiums. Day one release on PlayStation Plus for free is a wonderful bonus and a very loyal move from Psyonix to their fans. This game is tons of fun and is the most fun I've had with a game in ages. You won't regret picking this up. Although you may never put it down.

LEGO Jurassic World10
Jun 15, 2015
LEGO Jurassic World is a great entry to the LEGO series. The movies have been portrayed quite accurately, kid friendly and humorous and the characters voices are well done, with some being pulled straight from the film, such as Ian Malcolm and his famous quotes. The levels with a lot of action are superb which includes escaping the T rex in the classic jeep. The addition of being able to play as the dinosaurs makes this game a 10/10 LEGO game experience. This game is probably my favourite LEGO game to date and i've been playing LEGO games since LEGO Star Wars (which should get a remaster for ps4/xbone) and i'm blown away by how far they have come. Well done! Go buy it!

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX10
Dec 6, 2014
Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix AND Birth by Sleep Final Mix in HD?! (Plus bonus cutscenes of Re:Coded) How can you NOT give this a 10. The original Kingdom Hearts II back on PS2 alone is 10/10. These games have the best character design I have ever seen in anything. The environments are amazing and have come across from PS2 incredibly well. The music has been reorchestrated and sounds great. The animations, combat, and likeness of Disney characters is spot on. It has its humorous moments. Packed with content, Final Mix offers new abilities, secret bosses, challenges and more. Birth by Sleep feels as if it is a new game and it plays better than it ever had on the PSP, thanks to new controls. The backstory can be complicated for some, but if you understand it, it's one of the best stories to be told. If you're the kind of person who hates Disney or an amazing cartoon art style, dislikes a big package of amazing games which is cheaper in price than most games, don't buy this. But if you're a fan of Disney, or Square Enix, pick this series up. Like... right now. Go.
